The mastermind behind Hogwarts
Chapter 107 Jericho's School Phobia
Chapter 107 Jericho's School Phobia
"Where are you going?" Lilith stood up immediately. "Don't tell me you're going to find the Headless Horseman."
"Going to the Headless Horseman now is unwise; we have too little information," Moriarty told her. "I'm going to Hogsmeade to see someone."
This person was, of course, old Flint; Moriarty wanted him to inquire about the legend of the fire dragon.
"No! Do you want to collapse from exhaustion?" Lilith, slightly annoyed, brushed her long hair aside, her eyes wide, and said to Moriarty, "You haven't slept for 48 hours! I don't want to say anything more, it's all my fault! I shouldn't have told you this!"
She sighed, and Moriarty's expression softened. He slowly sat down. "It's not your fault. You're right. I'll proceed as planned and get a good night's sleep."
"That's more like it!" Lilith's eyes lit up instantly, sparkling. "Rest now, boys! Good afternoon!" She left happily, heading back to her dormitory.
Moriarty and Jericho exchanged a glance. "Good afternoon."
Soon, Hogwarts fell into a deep sleep, while in Hogsmeade and the British wizarding world, wizards spread the news and held grand celebrations.
Dumbledore attended four celebrations in one afternoon; the pure-blood family partnered with the Daily Prophet to spread the news throughout Europe, making a fortune; Lockhart wrote an abstract novel, *The Recliner of Nicolas Flamel and the Sky of Moriarty*, continuing to garner immense prestige…
Every British wizard was beaming with joy, while the French wizards had long since returned home. British Minister for Magic, Millison Bagnore, was quite pleased to have humiliated the French Ministry of Magic at the end of her political career; she could have stayed in that position for several more years if Fudge hadn't already been confirmed as his successor.
As Fudge saw Minister Bagno's support growing louder, he became increasingly anxious...
But all the joys and sorrows of the wizarding world seemed unable to enter Hogwarts. The students thoroughly enjoyed their time in the castle, but sometimes too much joy is not a good thing. A strange wind seemed to have swept through the castle, and many people fell ill...
As Wednesday arrived, the students realized that they had already been in school for three days.
Early morning at the Slytherin table, the little snakes sit together eating breakfast.
"It's so strange. I'm only in second grade, but why do I feel like an adult?" Jericho sat on the stool, lost in thought, his eyes darting across the auditorium.
Keith and Larpo nodded in agreement, sighing, "It's like a dream. I feel like I've grown up all of a sudden, and now I'm back to being a child."
Their words resonated with the little snakes, who murmured that the contrast was too great and they couldn't accept it.
"That's because you were doing all the things adults do the day before yesterday and yesterday!" Lilith handed Gemma a bowl of oatmeal and snorted at the boys. "The day before yesterday, you two were guarding the dormitory door, looking so arrogant. I doubt even Professor Snape could get through to the door you were guarding, could he?"
Keith and Larpo laughed sheepishly, "That felt amazing, we'd love to experience it again."
Gemma took the porridge, added a little milk, and stirred it well with a spoon.
"Many people at school think that way," Gemma said slowly. "Everyone wants to be entrusted with important responsibilities, everyone wants to do something earth-shattering with Moriarty..."
"Immersive experiences, role-playing! Personalized services!" Jericho interrupted Gemma, "I've discovered a great way to make quick money. We can transform classrooms into various scenarios, allowing students to experience the lives they want to live, and giving them the treatment of kings!"
Lilith and Gemma glanced at Jericho with amusement; even a year later, they were still unaccustomed to Jericho's sudden, bizarre ideas.
"Hey, Marcus!" Jericho called out, "Where's the gentleman? I'd like him to invest in my project!"
"The usual!" Marcus gestured toward the Hufflepuff table, and Jericho knew he was referring to Tonks. He muttered, "Well, needless to say, the gentleman must be in the Room of Requirement."
Gemma asked, "Lilith, aren't you going?"
"The Room of Requirement?" Lilith swallowed the bread in her mouth and shook her head decisively. "I refuse to get up too early. Getting up early will make my skin wrinkle. You know, I'm three years younger than Senior Tonks, and I absolutely can't look older than her."
By the way, do you think Fleur will become a powerful witch? They left last night, and I heard that Fleur seemed particularly upset because she didn't get to say goodbye to Moriarty.
Gemma sipped her porridge slowly, and when she heard the name Furong, she put down her spoon. "Hmm... Furong, the feeling I get from her is..."
The two girls whispered to each other, while Marcus turned his attention to the plate in front of Jericho. "Hey buddy, are you still going to eat your Danish roll?" Marcus asked knowingly, as Jericho hadn't eaten a single bite of breakfast yet.
"Hey buddy, let me help you finish this piece of bacon."
"Good buddy, I..."
"Stop talking, it's all yours!" Jericho pushed the plate in front of Marcus, who naturally ate Jericho's breakfast. Jericho shook his head with amusement, stood up, and prepared to leave.
Just then, Moriarty and Tonks walked over, with a little tail following behind them.
"Soldaya!" Jericho exclaimed in surprise, "You dare to disturb Mr. and Senior Tonks' training at the Room of Requirement?"
"No, no," Soldaya quickly said, "I swear I just happened to be passing by! I got up very early today."
"Is it because you're very excited? It's like a fire is burning inside you," Jericho asked.
"How did you know?" Soldaya retorted, feeling terrible that someone could read her mind.
"Heh," Jericho chuckled coolly, instructing his junior, "You'd better keep your skills hidden, or I'll have to say it a third time."
"Hmph!" Soldaya sat down next to a first-year student with a dark face. One of the students said to Soldaya, "If only every day could be like yesterday."
"Like yesterday? Party all morning, then have the afternoon off to sleep soundly in your dorm? What a brilliant idea!" Soldaya exclaimed. "Why don't you become a school board member?!"
The little snakes all smiled, but their eyes gleamed with longing.
Feeling bored, Jericho stood up, nodded to Moriarty, and walked outside.
"Wait, Jericho." Moriarty noticed his unusual behavior and caught up with him from behind. "If I didn't know you so well, I would have thought you were under the Imperius Curse? Or that some dark wizard drank Polyjuice Potion and turned into you."
Jericho scratched his head sheepishly. "Sir, don't you eat breakfast?"
"Nymph and I have already eaten," Moriarty said, leading Jericho toward the Transfiguration classroom. "Transfiguration class is this morning, let's take a walk."
Your emotions are somewhat unstable; what you said to Saul is actually a reflection of your inner state, isn't it?
"Yes, sir," Jericho said with a serious expression, "you are right."
After what happened the day before yesterday and yesterday, I suddenly don't want to go to school anymore. You have strength that no adult wizard can match, and wealth that is comparable to that of a country. Why do you have to go to school here?
I want to follow in your footsteps, travel the world, and make something of myself!
"Blanche, are you still half asleep?!" Lilith's voice rang out from behind them. She followed them over. "You're already hating school after only three days! Merlin, what's going to save you? You're only a second-year student!"
Lilith shook her head as she walked towards Moriarty, a serious glint in her eyes: "You know, Blanche's idea isn't unique. I've heard quite a few people complaining along the way. They think they can graduate early, as if they were the ones who made the bet with Nicolas Flamel and won big, not you!"
Moriarty took the situation very seriously. He made a grasping motion with one hand, and the Slytherin Staff appeared in his grasp. If things were serious, he would use his Slytherin lineage to investigate the castle.
"Pilivik!" Jericho cried out in shame and indignation at having his thoughts overheard. "Eavesdropping is an extremely immoral act!"
"Ah~" Lilith hid next to Moriarty and laughed, "I wasn't eavesdropping, the wind just blew your words into my ears."
Moriarty stretched out his hands to block the two of them and said to Jericho, "One day I will go out into the world, and when that day comes, I will take you with me!"
"Oh yeah!" Jericho grinned, and Moriarty continued, "But I can't leave this school yet."
"Then I'll stay here a few more years!" Jericho boasted to Lilith. "Miss, did you hear that? The master said he'll take me with him to see the world someday."
"That's great! Oh, why are you so lucky?" Lilith tried to feign envy and jealousy, but failed. She was overjoyed. "Didn't I tell you that Moriarty took me on an adventure to Greece this summer? Well, I didn't. Haha, poor thing."
"What?" Jericho's smile vanished before he could even finish, replaced by a bizarre expression: "When? Summer vacation? Oh no!"
Seeing his expression as if he had lost a hundred million Galleons, Moriarty and Lilith exchanged a smile and stepped onto the floating ladder to go to class.
