The Devil's Law: Pampering the Revengeful Girl

Chapter 99 Engagement as Soon as Possible

"What's wrong? Doesn't the tea suit your taste?" The Queen took a small sip and looked at Wei Yihan.

Wei Yihan shook his head, drank the tea in his cup in one gulp, put down the cup, and didn't say a word.

Luo Nuanqin took Wei Yihan's arm and looked at the Queen. "Mother, I want to get engaged to Brother Han as soon as possible."

Yu Han never expected Luo Nuanqin to bring this up first, and before she knew it, she spat out all her tea.

The Queen saw that Wei Yihan had no idea what was going on; it was her precious daughter who had told her.

"Whose idea was this?" the Queen asked, feigning ignorance as she looked at them.

Yu Han glanced at Luo Nuanqin, remained silent for a moment, then looked calmly at the Queen and said, "It was my idea."

It seems the plan needs to be moved up; he really can't believe Luo Nuanqin would take the initiative to come out.

"Have you asked your father about this?" the Queen asked Wei Yihan coldly.

Ask Dad?

How could he not know about this before he came?

"I..." Yu Han glanced at Luo Nuanqin, and, not knowing if she had received his plea for help, smiled and interrupted Brother Han.

"Mother, Brother Han said he wants to ask for your opinion first. Uncle Wei has always been very supportive of Brother Han and me."

Knowing that her daughter was specifically helping him, the Queen nodded. "A daughter is like a tree that grows up and cannot be kept at home. As for the engagement, it mainly depends on your father's opinion. If he agrees, I will not object."

Upon hearing her mother's agreement, Luo Nuanqin happily hugged Wei Yihan's neck and excitedly said, "Brother Han, did you hear that? My mother agreed!"

"Yes." Yuhan nodded, she knew the Queen's thoughts all too well.

Luo Nuanqin happily linked arms with Wei Yihan and said something, while the Queen watched from the side.

Soon after, the maids' greetings could be heard, and the king and Wei's father walked in together.

"Father..." Luo Nuanqin was the first to rush to the king's side to pay her respects, and she became even more excited when she saw Uncle Wei.

The king patted Qin'er's head and said seriously, "How's your homework going?"

"Father, I've finished everything. Uncle Wei is here too, and I have something I'd like to share with you and Uncle Wei." Luo Nuanqin took her father's hand and led him to the sofa.

Upon seeing her father, Yuhan immediately stood up. "Dad, Your Majesty..."

"Hmm? Yongkang, is this Xiaohan?" The king nodded and asked.

Upon hearing this, Wei Yongkang immediately nodded, "Yes, Your Majesty, this is my son."

"Your son is growing more and more handsome," the king said with a smile, sitting beside the queen.

Yuhan kept her eyes fixed on the king, whose expression grew increasingly grim after not seeing him for several days.

Although Yuhan really wanted to hug him, she ultimately held back. Luo Nuanqin saw that the time was perfect.

"Father, I want to get engaged to Brother Han." As soon as Luo Nuanqin said this, the king and Uncle Wei's faces suddenly turned cold.

Luo Nuanqin wanted to explain, but her mother's look stopped her. The king looked coldly at Uncle Wei and asked, "You know about Yongkang's matter?"

"I didn't know." Wei Yongkang had no idea that Yuhan would pull this stunt.

Wei Yihan immediately knelt on the ground. "Your Majesty, Qin'er and I are childhood sweethearts. Please believe me, I will never let you down." She had seen this line in some novel, and she never expected to be able to use it today.

Looking at Wei Yihan's resolute gaze, the king gave a stern, authoritative laugh. "Expectations? Your current task is to study; discussing marriage is premature."

Upon hearing her father's words, Luo Nuanqin's spirits plummeted.
