Chapter 72 The Champion's Encounters on the Nibel Plateau

After dinner, Ange asked Tianxi to arrange a room for Daigo and said to him, "Just stay here tonight and we'll talk about everything else once the rain stops!"

Daigo: "Thank you very much." Then he took Kodora back to his room.

Anjie, as always, first relaxed and played with the Pokémon for a while, then went to train, and finally went back to their rooms to sleep.

Just then, Diancie appeared at the top of the stairs. Seeing Steven and Amorphophallus, she greeted them with a polite smile, "Good morning, Mr. Steven, Amorphophallus!"

Although Mr. Daigo always looks at her strangely, she is a well-educated royal lady and would never do anything impolite.

Daigo smiled and greeted Diancie, "Good morning, Diancie."

Diancie called out to Daigo, "Daigo-san, come and have breakfast!"

Daigo nodded and quickly led Akagi downstairs.

When he saw the Pokémon sitting around the table in the hall, he and Chrolla were both taken aback.

The Pokémon were having breakfast and chatting happily when they saw Steven, a stranger. It was as if a pause button had been pressed, and the whole store suddenly became quiet for a moment.

Seeing this, Tianxi came over and reassured everyone, "This is our guest, you don't need to be afraid."

Hearing this, everyone continued eating breakfast, but they stopped chatting and laughing as before, and occasionally stole glances at Daigo out of the corner of their eyes.

Daigo also sensed something was off, so he whispered to Diancie, "Dianci, what are these Pokémon...?"

Diancie explained, "They are all Pokémon that live on the Nibel Plateau. They usually help us with chores, so they eat here."

"Daigo and Akora, come and have breakfast too." Diancie said, beckoning Daigo to sit at an empty table, and then served him and Akora steaming buns, mantou, and porridge.

The moment Kodora tasted the milk-flavored steamed bun, she immediately sensed its uniqueness and ate with even greater joy.

While eating, Daigo asked Diancie, "Where's Mr. Ange? I haven't seen him."

Tianxi replied, "He went to open his shop in Azot early this morning and won't be back until around noon."

Daigo looked surprised. "Isn't Mr. Ange royalty? Why is he doing business?"

Tianxi replied with a smile, "Having royal support certainly ensures a life of comfort, but life isn't just about surviving. Angie has other things she wants to do, so of course she has to work hard to earn money."

Daigo nodded thoughtfully. "That makes sense. It seems you know Mr. Ange very well, Diancie."

Tianxi said with a hint of pride, "After all, we've lived together since we were little."

The distant mountains were clearly visible; that was the direction he had come from. He had gotten lost in those mountains while digging for stones.

Seeing the lake not far away, Daigo led Kyo and walked over.

Luli and Maril were playing in the water on the shore when they saw Daigo coming. They quickly jumped into the water and disappeared.

It seems the Pokémon on the Nibel Plateau are all quite shy! Steven concluded.

On the lotus leaves by the lake, Mosquito Coil Tadpole and Mosquito Coil Man were watching the fish fry in the water when they suddenly heard someone greeting them.

"Good morning, Mosquito Coil Tadpole, Mosquito Coil Guy."

They turned their heads and saw that the person who spoke was the same one they had seen at Anjie's house that morning. He was leading Kodora through the newly sprouted fruit saplings toward the river.

Mosquito Coil Tadpole and Mosquito Coil awkwardly waved to Daigo as a greeting before jumping into the water and disappearing.

They are now employees of Anjie's family, representing the family's reputation, and cannot be disrespectful to guests.

Mosquito Coil Tadpole and Mosquito Coil-kun avoided him like the plague, but their attempts to restrain themselves made Daigo both amused and exasperated. He then carefully examined everything around him.

Keduo stepped forward, suddenly raised one of its front paws high, and a silver light shone on the paw. Then it swung it forward with force, and with a loud bang, a row of deep furrows appeared on the grass.

CocoDora and Screw Mole stared at CocoDora in shock, then their faces lit up with admiration.

The two Pokémon surrounded Acorn, asking it to teach them how to become stronger.

Daigo laughed and said, "Kadora, why don't you teach them?"

Kodora nodded shyly upon hearing this.

It belongs to the lowest level of strength among the trainer's Pokémon, but unexpectedly it was once admired.

The three Pokémon then went to the side and huddled together, whispering amongst themselves. Soon after, the sound of Akadora instructing Akadora and Excadrill in battle could be heard, their voices filled with seriousness and determination.

Daigo watched them for a while, then found a patch of grass to sit down and quietly admired the scenery of the plateau, enjoying the rare moment of tranquility.

At noon, Ange returned from the Azot Royal City and saw Daigo bringing Akodora, Akodora, and Screw Mole back from outside.

He casually asked, "What did you guys go about?"

Daigo replied, "I was just wandering around when I came across these two little guys battling, so I watched for a while."

Anjie looked at CocoDora and Screw Mole with surprise and asked, "You guys like battling?"

"Cocoa~ Cocoa~"

"Guryu~ Guryu~"

The two little guys nodded repeatedly and kept gesturing, probably praising Kodora for being so amazing that Kodora was embarrassed by their praise.

"I see..." Anjie pondered, an idea forming in his mind.

In the afternoon, Angie finally started working on making tables and chairs, and he even called Robert No. 1 to help.
