Lord: My troops can evolve indefinitely.

After seeing Zhou Fa off, Luo Xuan began to think.

Currently, the situation beneath the seabed is unclear, and Azathoth and Nereia need to continue their exploration.

However, the information Zhou Fa just provided is also very important.

Unclaimed resource points are quite precious; Luo Xuan has only encountered one in all this time.

After thinking it over, Luo Xuan decided to go into the mountains to find the resource point first.

The next day, Luo Xuan took Azathoth and Lilith, two of his main forces, leaving Nereia behind to guard the base.

Nereia is better suited for water combat, and her territory has a moat that allows her to use her skills; going into the mountains would be inconvenient.

Luo Xuan had been to the Falling Moon Mountain Range several times, and although he had only been to the outer areas, he was still somewhat familiar with it.

It was still early, and the mountain mist had not completely dissipated. A cool morning breeze swept through the forest, stirring up a few withered yellow leaves on the ground.

Lilith walked at the front, controlling two venomous spiders to scout ahead.

Even if danger arises, it will give the group time to react.

Meanwhile, Lilith left her spider silk as a marker along the way to prevent the group from getting lost in the mountains and forests.

Luo Xuan stood in the middle, responsible for identifying directions and roads, and then explored the depths of the mountains based on the clues left by Zhou's words.

And so, the group slowly made their way deeper into the mountains, following the mountain path they had explored before.

The deeper you go into the mountains, the denser the surrounding forests become. The ancient tree trunks pile up layer upon layer, blocking out most of the light and making the forest somewhat dark.

"Be vigilant," Luo Xuan whispered a reminder. In such dimly lit places, there was a good chance that some wild monsters were hiding, ready to ambush them. It was always better to be careful.

Azathoth and Lilith responded in hushed tones.

Two venomous spiders, acting as scouts ahead, moved slowly along the ground, constantly waving their legs.

From time to time, under Lilith's control, they would deliberately sneak into dark corners to ensure there was no danger around.

Lilith followed them warily, constantly watching for any movement around them.

Lilith would occasionally swing her sharp, blade-like limbs and quickly climb up a large tree, quietly leaving behind a spider web.

Luo Xuan followed behind, constantly observing the terrain from left to right, comparing it with what Zhou Fa had said, to prevent taking the wrong path.

Luo Xuan walked and stopped, observing the outlines of distant mountain peaks, nearby streams and cliffs, and other obvious targets and terrain features, adjusting his direction of travel.

"According to Zhou Fa, the resource point should be in the circular valley ahead."

Luo Xuan looked at the target terrain appearing in the distance and his face lit up with joy. They were almost there.

"Lilith, the direction of the valley ahead." Luo Xuan explained the direction to Lilith, and then followed behind her little by little.

Despite their utmost caution, they haven't encountered a single monster along the way, which is rather unusual.

Not to mention that we are currently in the midst of a blood moon, which is the period when wild monsters are at their most frenzied.

Luo Xuan looked back at Azathoth, who was diligently guarding the rear to prevent an attack from behind.

After walking for a while, Luo Xuan looked up and saw a huge gray-white cliff behind a sparse grove of trees.

The cliffs surround the area on three sides, forming a hidden circular valley.

According to Zhou Fa, the entrance to the valley was originally blocked by tangled vines and dead branches, and it was he who led the team to clear it out.

Luo Xuan looked at it from a distance and saw that there were indeed signs of recent manual cleaning, with an opening that could accommodate two or three people.

"Found it!" Luo Xuan was overjoyed and quickly walked forward.

However, just as they approached the sparse woods on the outskirts, the two venomous spiders that were scouting ahead suddenly rushed off in a certain direction and then exploded.

The deep purple venom splattered all over the surrounding trees, making a slight corrosive sound as it clung to the trunks.

Upon seeing this, Luo Xuan stopped abruptly, his gaze fixed on the direction in which the venom spider had self-destructed.

He knew about Lilith's Venom Spiders; they had an automatic close-range lock-on function.

If enemies are present within range, they will automatically rush over and self-destruct.

Clearly, the two venomous spiders sensed the enemy hiding in the woods and rushed over to self-destruct.

Lilith immediately noticed the venom spider's unusual movements, but she did not stop it.

Instead, after the two venomous spiders self-destructed, two new ones were immediately summoned.

Compared to those low-quality units, the units that Luo Xuan evolved through talent transformation generally have higher intelligence.

The two newly summoned venom spiders, under Lilith's command, also crawled into the forest.

Then, unsurprisingly, two more explosions were heard.

At this moment, the hidden enemy finally realized that they had been exposed. Accompanied by a low and fierce growl, several hunched and short black figures suddenly emerged from the woods.

Luo Xuan looked closely and saw that they were actually several cave dwellers.

Their skin was an unnatural grayish-black color, rough and cracked, and some of them were covered in venom splattered from the self-destruction of the venomous spiders, their bodies corroded and baring their teeth.

The cave dwellers wore only a few dirty and tattered animal skins, and were short and hunched over, but their limbs were extremely thick.

"It looks like a monster that's all brawn and no brains."

Luo Xuan sized up the person opposite him, thinking to himself.

Because they have lived underground for a long time, their cloudy, whitish eyes are still somewhat unaccustomed to this dim environment where most of the light is blocked, and they keep squinting and blinking.

As a result, some cave dwellers unconsciously dug at the soil in front of them with their claws, leaving deep marks on the ground.

Among them was a cave dweller who was the leader. He held a roughly polished stone spear in his hand, the sharp tip of which was also covered with some dirt.

Luo Xuan was puzzled as he looked at the group of cave dwellers that had suddenly appeared before him.

Zhou Fa didn't mention the existence of cave dwellers nearby, so the remaining possibility is that these cave dwellers came here after Zhou Fa left.

Considering the living habits of cave dwellers, Luo Xuan even thought they had just been dug out of the ground not long ago.

Thinking about this, Luo Xuan shook his head, unsure whether to call himself lucky or unlucky.

However, seeing the enemy closing in aggressively, a battle seemed inevitable.

After investigating the cave dwellers, Luo Xuan found three white-quality and three green-quality ones mixed together. The only one that Luo Xuan should pay attention to was the blue cave dweller leader.

Luo Xuan quietly leaned back, leaving the battlefield to Azathoth and Lilith.
