I, Yan Jiefang, will live to 2025 in this courtyard house.

From 97 to the present, domestic mobile phone manufacturers have been rapidly expanding, and the market size continues to grow.

Big Battery's nickel-metal hydride batteries have also been racing ahead in this field in recent years, developing very rapidly.

However, many manufacturers of lithium-ion batteries (lithium cobalt oxide) have followed suit and also occupy a large market share.

As a rising star in rechargeable batteries, lithium cobalt oxide batteries have seen rapid development.

Although it has disadvantages such as being more expensive and prone to short circuits that can cause fires or even explosions, it has more advantages than nickel-metal hydride batteries.

Its core advantages are that it is lighter, smaller, has a larger capacity, can be charged anytime, and has a longer standby time.

Therefore, those in the battery industry can see that lithium cobalt oxide batteries are very likely to replace nickel-metal hydride batteries.

Engineers at Big Battery and professors at Central South University recognized this situation and therefore also suggested researching lithium cobalt oxide batteries.

Yan Jiefang and his son naturally agreed to this suggestion.

They would rather go downstream than deliberately go upstream.

To minimize the risk of battery short circuits, Yan Jiefang also proposed a new design approach.

In addition, he also presented the design diagram 1 of the lithium iron phosphate battery and asked everyone to study it so that they could develop and mass-produce this battery as soon as possible.

This is in preparation for the next generation of car batteries.

Because of battery production, Yan Jiefang stayed in Guangdong for the next two months, November and December.

After a long period of involvement, Yan Xueyuan has gained considerable knowledge about various types of batteries.

As the father and son rested in the electronics factory office, he still had some doubts:

"Dad, can lithium iron phosphate batteries, with their relatively low energy density, be used as power batteries for cars?"

Even if the blade battery pack is manufactured exactly according to your drawings, its capacity will not be enough to support a car to travel 200 kilometers, right?

Do you possess even more advanced technology?

Yan Jiefang nodded:

"You guessed right, I do have more advanced technology, but the current level of other related industries is not enough to support its production."

"I see. It seems you are the world's top scientist. I doubt even Nobel laureates could rival you."

He truly respected his father.

In front of his elderly father, he felt like a primary school student, despite being the top scorer in the Beijing college entrance examination and a graduate of Tsinghua University.

Leaving aside microelectronics, even in the fields of automobiles and batteries, it is far behind and cannot be compared at all.

It's worth noting that all three types of cars currently produced by the car factory were designed and manufactured by the father.

And on the battery factory side, the real big boss behind the scenes has always been the old father.

He had long realized that even professors who had spent decades tackling related technologies at universities were far inferior to his father.

It seemed like nothing could stump him.

. . .

Although her husband had assured her that everything would be alright when they were in the mountains, Liu Ruyan was still worried and scared for quite some time after returning to the Special Economic Zone.

He's become much quieter on weekdays.

During this time, although her husband was very busy, he stayed by her side and came home on time every day without any accidents, which put her at ease.

She didn't know that these days, the number of people who go missing every year is countless.

There are tens of thousands of children alone, and that's only the registered ones; nobody knows how many are unregistered.

There are no specific figures for missing adults, but their numbers are likely no fewer than those of children.

Those robbers, they disappeared without a trace, it's basically an unsolved case.

The authorities will investigate, but police resources are limited and they can't keep an eye on things every day.

As for gunshots, these days, isn't it normal to hear gunshots in the middle of nowhere?

The government is still actively confiscating firearms from civilians.

But there are definitely still many guns from remote areas that haven't been recovered.

Hunting rifles are still hidden in many rural areas.

Yan Jiefang noticed his wife's worries and comforted her a few times before stopping paying attention.

They've been married for decades, and he knows Liu Ruyan well. He knows she won't care about this matter anymore after a while.

After all, she still has several grandchildren who need her attention.

...

At the end of December, Mr. Xu Zhaomin, a veteran of the company, officially stepped down from his position as president.

The company held a special retirement party for him.

The meeting was chaired by Yan Xueqian, the successor, and Yan Jiefang specially put aside his work to attend and listen in.

"Mr. Xu, thank you."

Thank you for leading a small team of people to build the company from scratch to where it is today in a small office.

Without you, the company wouldn't be where it is today!

...

On behalf of all my colleagues, I would like to say to you: Thank you, Mr. Xu! You've worked so hard!

After Yan Xueqian finished speaking, he bowed to Lao Xu to express his gratitude.

He then took the flowers and commemorative album from the tray of the employee representative next to him and solemnly handed them to Lao Xu:

"Mr. Xu, this commemorative album contains everyone's blessings for you, as well as some old photos of the company over the years."

It's not expensive, but every page is written with sincerity.

Xu Zhaomin's voice was choked with emotion:

"Thank you, Mr. Yan, and thank you everyone."

I've experienced a lot during my years at the company...

I believe that under Mr. Yan's leadership and with everyone's hard work, the company will definitely get better and better! Thank you all!

Yan Jiefang immediately took the lead in standing up and clapping vigorously, and the rest of the company also stood up and clapped, the applause lasting for a long time.

...

Yan Jiefang sat in his office looking at an old photograph on the wall.

That was a group photo taken in front of the main gate when we first moved into the laboratory building.

More than a decade has passed in the blink of an eye, as if a lifetime has gone by. Old Xu has retired due to his advanced age, and he himself is over 55 years old.

Looking at my panel, apart from some basic information, most of the content consisted of the various skills I had learned in my life.

Nearly a hundred scattered around!

These are the results of his decades of persistent learning.

He turned his gaze to the cultivation level page on the panel.

Yan Jiefang (Refining Qi Level 9, 70/100)

I did a quick mental calculation and realized that at the current pace, it would probably be 03 before I could advance to the 10th level of Qi Refining.

By then, we can prepare for foundation building.

According to the "Baiyang Zhenjing", as long as one has reached the foundation stage, one's lifespan can reach or even exceed 200 years.

Then his fundamental goal in this courtyard world can be easily achieved.

Below the skills of the "Baiyang True Scripture" is the "Dayan Treasure Scripture," a divine sense cultivation method. After so many years of cultivation, the Qi Refining chapter has long been completed.

The enhancement to spiritual awareness has reached 100%.

This increased his spiritual range to over 180 meters, more than ten times stronger than at the beginning.

Now it's much more convenient to do anything.

Even when sending people down to mine, they would go deep underground, leaving them deprived of the light of day.

However, he usually prefers to use the "cerebral hemorrhage method".
