I'm sorry, but your fiancé loves me.

Chapter 67 What, do you think I'm a bad person now?

A few days later, Yun Muqian took the initiative to call Qin Qihan.

She chose the time in the late afternoon, when it was just before it got dark. She knew that Qin Qihan usually finished his work for the day at this time and would sit in his office for a while before leaving.

The phone rang twice before being answered.

There was no immediate response, but a soft breathing sound could be heard, as if he was holding the phone to his ear, waiting for her to speak first.

Yun Muqian spoke first: "It's me."

"I know." His voice was a little hoarse than when they last parted.

"I want to see you," she said.

There was a two-second silence on the other end, then he asked with some surprise, "When?"

Are you still at the company now?

"Um."

"Then come over when you're done with your work."

Yun Muqian's approach is to give Qin Qihan a slap followed by a sweet treat. She wants Qin Qihan to help her bring down the Zhou Group, and since there's something to gain, she's been making time to meet with Qin Qihan these past few days, starting to re-enter his life in a subtle way.

She didn't show up every day, nor did she deliberately create chance encounters. She would just send him a message at certain opportune moments, such as when she happened to be free, happened to be passing by, or happened to think of him, asking if he had eaten.

Qin Qihan replied quickly, as if she had been waiting for her phone to light up.

That evening, she went to his place carrying a bag of fruit. His house was still full of her things, and she bent down to change her shoes as naturally as if she were in her own home. Qin Qihan stood in the living room watching her, seemingly unsure how to react to the scene.

She changed her shoes and came in: "What, aren't you welcome?"

"No." He put down his water glass, walked over, opened the paper bag, took out an orange, and held it in his hand. "You seem to be thinking about me a lot lately."

Yun Muqian sat down on the sofa opposite him, curled her legs up, rested her chin on her knees, and tilted her head to look at him: "Isn't it normal to miss you?"

He peeled the orange and handed it to her. When she reached out to take it, her fingertips deliberately touched his fingers. He didn't ask her why she came today, or even about the matter she mentioned last time.

He seemed to have already made up his mind that whatever her purpose was in coming, he would accept her first.

The same thing happened for the next few days.

Sometimes she would text him in the evening saying, "I don't want to eat alone tonight," and he would make a reservation in advance. If she texted him late at night saying, "I can't sleep," he would call her without saying anything, just put the phone on speakerphone and place it next to his pillow.

She began to test his boundaries in small ways, reaching for the water glass in front of him, naturally taking his arm when walking, and gently tugging at his sleeve when he said, "I have a meeting tonight," saying, "Then come find me after your meeting."

He was naturally overjoyed. He had originally planned to use some underhanded means to keep her by his side, but he didn't expect her to come back on her own.

Once, she was nestled on the sofa while he sat beside her, busy working on his laptop. Suddenly, she stretched her legs out and put them on his lap. Qin Qihan glanced down at her feet, reached out and gently adjusted her ankles to make her more comfortable.

"You seem to really enjoy spending time with me lately."

He was testing her to see if she really wanted to reconcile.

She first pulled her feet back, then straightened up, supporting herself on the sofa cushions, with her knees on the cushions beside him. She leaned forward, and Qin Qihan looked up from the screen, about to say something, when she had already straddled him.

She placed her hands on his shoulders, looked down at him, and said, "You noticed too."

Qin Qihan's hand was still suspended in mid-air, and it took several seconds before it fell. One hand rested on her waist. "How can I work like this?"

She smiled and said, "Then I won't work."

Qin Qihan almost doubted if he was dreaming. He thought, he knew Yun Muqian had feelings for him and couldn't let him go.

Finally, one day, she cut to the chase and said, "I want to make up with you."

"real?"

"Really," she said. "Not everyone can let go of feelings easily, but I have one request."

Qin Qihan looked at her. "You speak."

"good."

Yun Muqian raised an eyebrow slightly, as if she hadn't expected him to agree so readily.

"Can I know why?" he asked.

"I can't tell you right now," she said. "I don't want to talk to anyone about my past."

Qin Qihan seemed to have decided to accept this answer for the time being and did not ask any further questions.

"You just need to do as I say."

Qin Qihan thought about the series of events that had occurred recently, and a thought gradually surfaced: "Do you have a grudge against Zhou Xue?"

Yun Muqian tilted her head slightly, a faint smile curving her lips:

"What, now you know I'm bad?"
