I am a dragon

It was chaotic outside, but I was hiding alone in my room. The bleeding had stopped.

The security guard who helped me up left, saying he was going out to check what was going on, leaving me alone in the room.

They even turned off the lights before leaving.

The security guard never returned.

The quiet in the room quickly calmed me down. The knife hadn't gone deep; it wasn't a big deal. The quiet environment made me start to think deeply about what had happened recently.

Just as I was lost in thought outside, I heard someone shouting.

"Lu Feng, Lu Feng?"

It was Jiang Ruxue's voice.

Why is she here?

I quickly stood up, opened the door, and saw Jiang Ruxue in the hallway, searching for me room by room.

"sister in law."

When Jiang Ruxue heard my voice, she turned around and a happy smile appeared on her face.

"I've finally found you."

Jiang Ruxue breathed a sigh of relief. She looked around and followed me into the room.

I was very touched, but also felt scared for her.

Something happened at home, Lin Fang went missing, and the crew-cut guy and the long-haired guy are definitely still keeping an eye on her. It's so late, and Jiang Ruxue is still looking for me.

I'm a soft-hearted person by nature, which instantly dispelled my initial displeasure at her suspecting that she was intentionally pushing Ning Meng to me.

"Sister-in-law, what brings you here? It's so late at night, it's not safe."

"I waited for you at home, but I didn't hear from you. I called you but you didn't answer. I was worried that something had happened to you, and since you were coming to Nightfall Bar, I came over."

Jiang Ruxue noticed that my complexion was off and asked, "Lu Feng, what's wrong? You look very weak."

"I was just stabbed."

Although I spoke casually, Jiang Ruxue still lifted my clothes and saw the gauze wrapped around my stomach.

"Oh my god."

Jiang Ruxue covered her mouth and exclaimed, "What happened?"

I briefly recounted what had just happened: "Today was a really unlucky day. Zhou Mingyuan took my phone, and I guess he threw it away."

"I knew I shouldn't have let you come. If something happened to you, how could I face your family?"

Jiang Ruxue felt both heartache and self-blame.

Seeing her like this, I actually felt relieved.

"It's alright, no internal organs were injured," I tried to reassure her.

Jiang Ruxue pulled me outside: "Come with me, you have to go to the hospital."

"No need, I'm fine. This little injury is nothing."

Jiang Ruxue insisted on taking me to the hospital.

"Really, no need. Don't forget I'm a doctor; I should be able to handle this. Chen Hu was probably taken away by the police. I was going to try and find out more, but..."

I gave a wry smile.

"Even if you don't go to the hospital, you don't need to be a fool and wait here."

"Is no one outside?"

"When I came in, I didn't see many people. I thought I couldn't find you."

It seems the police have left, and I'm getting ready to go home.

I'll come find Chen Hu again tomorrow.

To my surprise, just as I reached the entrance on the first floor, Chen Hu swaggered in and almost bumped into me.

He was in a very agitated mood. When he saw me, he hugged me tightly and patted my back hard, completely disregarding my injuries.

His pat on the head aggravated my wound; I'm so damn grateful to him.

"Tiger, Tiger, it hurts, it hurts!" I grimaced.

Jiang Ruxue complained from the side, "Who are you? Don't you know Xiaofeng is injured?"

"Oh dear, look at me, I'm so sorry, so sorry." Chen Hu quickly released me, his face full of gratitude. "Brother Feng, you saved me in prison, and now you've taken a knife for me, saving me again."

After saying that, he turned around and shouted to his underlings behind him, "These are my brothers who would risk their lives for me. Call them Brother Feng from now on."

"Brother Feng!"

Several of my underlings bowed to me.

I felt pretty awesome, but out of the corner of my eye I saw Jiang Ruxue's displeased expression, and I said, "Brother Tiger, those guys were after me anyway, so if anything, I'm the one who dragged you into this."

Chen Hu said nonchalantly, "These guys are here to cause trouble. They'll find something else to do even if you're not here. Don't just stand at the door, come inside."

I wanted to go in with Chen Hu, but Jiang Ruxue said, "It's so late, and you're injured. Go back first, and we can talk about it tomorrow."

Chen Hu then noticed Jiang Ruxue beside me. He glanced at her and was probably stunned by her beauty and temperament, so he didn't say anything for a moment.

I coughed and introduced her to him: "Brother Tiger, this is my sister-in-law, Jiang Ruxue."

Chen Hu snapped out of his daze: "Brother Feng's sister-in-law is my sister-in-law too! Hello, sister-in-law!"

Jiang Ruxue forced a smile and nodded, which was her way of saying hello.

I could tell she had a prejudice against Chen Hu, a man of the underworld. Thinking about it, I could understand. Jiang Ruxue lived in an ivory tower and didn't have many opportunities to experience the realities of life.

Just as I was wondering if I should go back first, there was another commotion outside.

"Brother Long is back."

"Brother Long."

"Brother Long."

The crowd parted, and a man who looked somewhat like Chen Hu walked over.

Chen Hu pointed at me and said to the man, "Brother, this is Lu Feng, whom I often mention to you. He took a knife for me today."

Chen Long strode up to me, looked me up and down, extended his hand, and said with a smile, "I am Chen Hu's older brother, Chen Long. You saved my brother twice, so from now on you are my brother, Chen Long."

Chen Long seemed more shrewd than Chen Hu, and he had a strong rough and unruly air about him, but he didn't intimidate people; instead, people wanted to get close to him.

I apologized, "Brother Long, today's incident was caused by me. I had a conflict with those people before."

Chen Long waved his hand and said, "This is not your fault. Those people were specifically hired to cause trouble."

"Brother, was it sent by Qiao Laoliu?" Chen Hu looked like he wanted to eat someone alive.

Qiao Laoliu?

I've heard Xu Lanya mention this person before; he seems to be some old-timer gangster boss. I never imagined that Brother Chen Long had a grudge against him.

Xu Lanya said that Zhou Mingyuan and Qiao Laoliu had some relationship. Is it just a coincidence that Zhou Mingyuan appeared at Night Bar today?

This was just my suspicion; I didn't say it aloud.

Chen Long glared at Chen Hu: "What do you want to do?"

"I'll kill that old Joe."

"Shut up, do you still want to go in?"

Chen Long's face fell, and Chen Hu, seeing that Chen Long was angry, reluctantly shut his mouth.

Chen Long's gaze fell on Jiang Ruxue's face, and his eyes immediately revealed the look a man gives when looking at a beautiful woman.

"Who is this?"

Chen Hu spoke first: "This is Lu Feng's sister-in-law."

Upon hearing that she was my sister-in-law, Chen Long averted his gaze. Based on this subtle gesture, I felt that Chen Long was someone I could befriend.

Chen Long greeted Jiang Ruxue, but unlike Chen Hu, he didn't call her "sister-in-law." Instead, he simply said, "Now that's one of us. From now on, all your expenses at the bar will be free."

"Thank you for your kindness, Mr. Chen," Jiang Ruxue said politely, her eyes distant.

Chen Long turned to me and asked, "Brother Lu, how are your injuries?"

"I handled it myself."

"You should still go to the hospital to get it checked out," Chen Long said sincerely.

Chen Hu interjected, "Brother, don't underestimate Brother Feng, he's a miracle doctor."

"My apologies," Chen Long said to me. "I heard from Chen Hu that you originally wanted to talk to him? Let's go upstairs then."
