I am a dragon

I knew my cousin and his wife were coming to see a movie, but I didn't expect it to be the same movie theater.

Lin Fang and Jiang Ruxue were unaware that I was also there to watch the movie, so they looked quite surprised.

I also find it amazing that they actually bumped into each other.

Lin Fang laughed and said, "Xiao Feng, you didn't know your cousin and I were here to watch a movie, so you came to be a third wheel, did you?"

Jiang Ruxue nudged Lin Fang with her elbow, her face flushed, and said, "What nonsense are you talking about?"

Lin Fang chuckled, pulled his arm away from Jiang Ruxue's grasp, put his arm around my shoulder, and winked at me, saying, "Tell me honestly, who did you go to the movies with?"

"I made plans with Ning Meng," I answered honestly.

As soon as she finished speaking, I clearly felt Lin Fang's arm stiffen slightly. Jiang Ruxue said, "You all went to see a movie together? Remember to give your matchmaker a big red envelope!"

She then said to Lin Fang, "You said Xiaofeng and Ningmeng were impossible, but you've proven yourself wrong, haven't you?"

Lin Fang loosened his arms, but before he could speak, Ning Meng walked in.

Ning Meng was still wearing a white A-line dress, looking exceptionally pure and beautiful; I was completely mesmerized.

Jiang Ruxue nudged me and whispered, "Aren't you going over there?"

I snapped out of my daze, took two steps forward, and said, "Ning Meng, you're here."

Ning Meng nodded to me, then looked behind me and smiled sweetly: "Hello, Teacher Jiang and Mr. Lin."

Jiang Ruxue said, "Ning Meng, you guys are here to watch a movie too, what a coincidence! Xiao Feng didn't tell us. You look really beautiful today."

Ning Meng said, "Teacher Jiang is much prettier; I'm just a little girl."

This remark implied that Jiang Ruxue was old, and I was afraid she would be unhappy. However, to my surprise, Jiang Ruxue showed no displeasure and asked, "Where will you sit?"

I looked at the movie tickets and told them my seats. Jiang Ruxue exclaimed in surprise, "What a coincidence! Our seats are next to each other!"

"Yeah?"

When I took Jiang Ruxue's and Lin Fang's movie tickets, I saw that our four movie tickets were indeed next to each other.

Jiang Ruxue glanced at Lin Fang and said, "Xiaofeng, you didn't buy the tickets with your cousin, did you?"

"No, this ticket is..."

"The movie is about to start, shall we go in?" Ning Meng interrupted me.

The four of us entered the screening room and found our seats. Lin Fang chose the leftmost seat out of the four tickets, and Jiang Ruxue had no choice but to sit next to him.

Jiang Ruxue sat down and waved to Ning Meng. Ning Meng sat down next to her, and I sat down next to Ning Meng.

Ning Meng said, "Oh dear, I forgot to buy popcorn?"

"I'll go buy it." I got up and was about to leave.

Jiang Ruxue followed Ning Meng and said, "Buy two bottles of Coke for me and your cousin. Ning Meng, can you drink ice water?"

After receiving an affirmative answer, Jiang Ruxue said to me, "Then buy four bottles."

As she spoke, she pulled out a hundred-yuan bill, which I of course didn't take. I gave her an OK sign and then left.

With four or five minutes to go before the movie started, the audience began to enter the theater. I bought two large servings of popcorn and four bottles of Coke and returned to the screening room.

I sat down next to Ning Meng and handed them popcorn and cola.

Jiang Ruxue and Ning Meng were chatting about something, and they smiled from time to time.

The movie begins.

This is a period comedy inspired by lychees. I watched it absentmindedly. Most of the people watching the movie were couples. What puzzled me was that the couple in front of me kept kissing each other while watching a period drama, which made me very embarrassed.

I couldn't help but turn to look at Ning Meng. Ning Meng was completely engrossed in the whole thing, sometimes covering her mouth and laughing uncontrollably. I really didn't know what was so funny, but I laughed along with Ning Meng.

I felt a little jealous that Ning Meng was leaning against Jiang Ruxue. I wondered why she wasn't leaning against me.

Halfway through the movie, I heard Jiang Ruxue quietly scolding Lin Fang: "Why did you drink Ning Meng's cola?"

Ning Meng turned her head and whispered, "It's okay, I don't really want to drink it anyway."

At this moment, the people in the back row reminded us, and we quickly stopped talking and focused our attention on the movie.

But out of the corner of my eye, I saw Lin Fang put the bottle of cola back on the armrest next to Ning Meng, his movements a little stiff.

Jiang Ruxue glanced at him, her lips moved, but in the end she said nothing.

Ning Meng kept her eyes glued to the screen and didn't touch the bottle of cola again.

I was a little confused. How could Lin Fang have taken the wrong Coke? There was clearly a bottle on his side, and Jiang Ruxue was in between.

But then I thought, maybe I just couldn't see clearly in the dark.

I didn't continue thinking about it and returned my gaze to the screen, but I still felt that something was wrong.

The couple in front of me started kissing again. My palms were sweating and my heart was pounding like a drum. Ningmeng's hand was on the armrest, and I could touch her if I moved my finger.

But I just didn't dare to move.

What if she doesn't want to? What if she thinks I'm a frivolous person?

In the darkness, I sensed something moving on my left, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jiang Ruxue wink at me.

I wanted to kiss the couple in the front row, but I didn't dare; my heart was pounding.

But I still didn't dare, after all, Ning Meng and I weren't officially dating, and I was afraid of offending her.

I didn't dare to hold Ningmeng's hand until the movie was over; I felt really pathetic.

Ghost Hand Li once told me that women are actually more lustful than men, but they usually keep it under wraps and it's not easy to be discovered. So, to pursue a girl, you have to be bold and meticulous, you have to keep exploring and delving deeper and deeper.

I scoff at Ghost Hand Li's twisted logic and heresies.

Now I wish I could study it frame by frame!

The movie ended, and I didn't even know what I had watched; my mind was a complete mess.

The couples in the front row must have had swollen lips from kissing so much. Annoyed, I followed the crowd out and walked into the lobby.

Ning Meng suddenly and quietly took my hand, and I immediately felt as if all the flowers in the world were blooming.

He cursed himself inwardly for not being a man, for not even being as good as a woman.

During the day, Ningmeng took my hand first, and she did it again at night!

Ning Meng took my hand and said to Jiang Ruxue and Lin Fang, "Teacher Jiang, Mr. Lin, what a coincidence! Why don't we have dinner together? It's on me."

Lin Fang declined, saying, "I'm sorry, I have something to do. Maybe next time."

Jiang Ruxue nudged Lin Fang and said to Ning Meng, "Great, I happen to be free today."

"I hope this doesn't disturb your time together."

"We might be family in the future, so don't be so formal about bothering us." Jiang Ruxue said warmly, "However, Lin Fang will treat us to this meal."

Lin Fang laughed and asked, "Why me?"

Jiang Ruxue glared at Lin Fang: "You're so stingy, do your family know?"

This remark made everyone laugh.

Ning Meng said, "I think Mr. Lin must have something important to do."

"He's always busy." Jiang Ruxue glared at Lin Fang resentfully.

Lin Fang immediately surrendered, saying, "I was wrong, I admit my guilt. Ladies, please order whatever you like."

Jiang Ruxue said to Ning Meng, "Is he being generous today? Let's go, let's make him pay."

Ning Meng didn't refuse. The two ladies chatted and laughed in front, while Lin Fang and I lagged behind.

Walking down the street, Lin Fang whispered to me, "How far have things progressed between you and Ning Meng?"

I glanced at the woman in front of me and whispered, "It's nothing special."

Lin Fang nodded, then suddenly said something strange: "The more beautiful a woman is, the more likely she is to lie."

"Who?" I asked curiously.

Lin Fang didn't say anything, but instead gave me a cigarette, lit it for himself, took a deep drag, looked at the night sky at a 45-degree angle, and said, "The sky is overcast; it looks like it's going to rain heavily."

He was acting completely differently than usual. I felt like Lin Fang wanted to tell me something, but he didn't know how to say it.

How strange!
