Falling into the rain

Chapter 34 Wen Huaixu was stunned

Wen Huaixu glanced at her casually; he really couldn't figure out what twenty-year-old girls like them were thinking.

They clearly didn't want to go in, but they deliberately asked and invited me.

Yu Tingyu is the same way; she always does things she doesn't want to do, regardless of whether she's happy or not.

Ke Wen Huaixu taught her from a young age that she should always put herself first, and that he was capable of covering everything for her.

In his heart, no one could surpass her.

When will she understand?

Shen Sihe was so frightened by his all-knowing gaze that she fell silent. Her earlier comment was just making conversation out of nothing.

I really don't know how Yu Tingyu managed to hide under his nose for so long. If it were her, she would have been seen through long ago.

Wen Huaixu quickened his pace, asking her as he walked, "How much did Xiaoyu drink?"

Even though he could find the answer by going inside, he couldn't help but ask first.

Shen Sihe didn't even dare to look at Wen Huaixu, and stammered, unable to speak.

Wen Huaixu immediately understood, and his eyes darkened further.

As he stepped into the room, he immediately saw Yu Tingyu leaning against the sofa. Her eyes were closed and her face was flushed. Anyone who didn't know the situation would think she was sick, because she looked like this when she had a fever, and Wen Huaixu had seen it more than once.

So his first reaction was to reach out and touch Yu Tingyu's forehead.

He breathed a slight sigh of relief when he saw that the temperature in his palm was normal.

However, his complexion was even worse; no one present had ever seen him look so gloomy, and they all dared not speak.

Unfortunately, only the person involved was unaware of the situation. Yu Tingyu felt someone touching her forehead, her eyelashes trembled, and she opened her eyes.

Wen Huaixu's face was immediately reflected in her pupils, but she had no reaction, no fright, no surprise, she just looked at him with her clear, dark eyes.

After a few seconds, Wen Huaixu finally spoke first. He stretched out his hand and placed his large palm in front of Yu Tingyu: "Get up."

Yu Tingyu continued to look at him without making any move.

The others standing nearby remained silent. Shen Sihe silently closed her eyes, silently mourning for Yu Tingyu. It was all over; she was sure to get a scolding when she got back.

Yu Tingyu probably knew it herself, so she didn't stay still for too long. She lowered her eyes, reached out, and grabbed Wen Huaixu's sleeve, using the force to barely straighten up.

Wen Huaixu helped her up and was about to pick her up when she suddenly stepped forward, her little head hitting his chest, her voice low and aggrieved: "Why did you take so long to come?"

In the corner, Shen Sihe opened her lips silently upon hearing these words.

Didn't you just say you didn't want to see him? Why have you changed your tune now?

Wen Huaixu clearly hadn't expected this either.

He looked down, and could only see a cute, innocent profile.

As Yu Tingyu approached, the distance between them was no more than an inch, and a soft, warm fragrance wafted around their noses.

Wen Huaixu let her fall into his arms, and the fingers on her back trembled slightly involuntarily. His dark expression softened a little.

The fact that he could still be recognized even when drunk means he wasn't completely unconscious.

Yu Tingyu was still rubbing against him when Wen Huaixu's throat tightened. He picked her up and carried her outside, not forgetting to tell the people inside, "It's late, hurry back."

Stepping out of the room, Wen Huaixu walked steadily with each step, and his pace was much slower than when he came in.

He looked down at the person in his arms and asked in a deep voice, "Does your head hurt? Is anything else bothering you?"

Although I was angry that she drank so much, I couldn't help but care for her.

She was the one who felt bad, but he was the one who felt sorry for her.

This is an age-old truth that cannot be separated from anything.

Yu Tingyu hugged his neck, her hazy eyes fixed on him, and shook her head: "I don't feel unwell... I still want to drink."

Wen Huaixu was almost amused by her. He didn't say anything, but quickly walked a few steps and put her in the car.

Wang Hang had already arrived. After closing the back door for them, he quickly went to the driver's seat.

Yu Tingyu had drunk too much and couldn't sit comfortably no matter how she sat. She looked up at Wen Huaixu beside her, her eyes red, and she looked like a gentle and harmless little rabbit.

Anyone who sees this face and this expression will soften their stance, let alone Wen Huaixu.

How could he possibly be angry with the little drunkard? He'd only vent his anger when she sobered up. He placed his suit jacket on Yu Tingyu's lap and asked, "Are you feeling unwell? Will you drink so much next time?"

Yu Tingyu's long eyelashes curled upwards, her shimmering eyes staring straight at Wen Huaixu, watching his lips move.

She nodded, clutched at her clothes, and whispered, "I don't feel well... I feel so uncomfortable..."

Upon seeing her like this, Wen Huaixu indeed became anxious. He straightened up with a stern face and asked her, "Where does it hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital?"

Yu Tingyu had never been drunk before, and he didn't know where the tipping point was. If he really got himself sick from drinking, that would be a big problem.

The car window rolled down halfway, and a cool night breeze blew in, drying the tears from Yu Tingyu's eyes. She pointed to her heart and whispered, "Here."

"He doesn't want me anymore."

Wen Huaixu's breath hitched suddenly; his intuition told him that Yu Tingyu was talking about the person she loved but could not have.

He was somewhat exasperated, angry that she was so deeply in love with that man, but at least he had some more information, and he wanted to know more, almost like a form of self-torture.

Wen Huaixu prompted her, asking, "Little Fish, tell me, what's his name?"

But Yu Tingyu acted as if she hadn't heard Wen Huaixu's question. She suddenly sat up, shook her head, and said to herself, "No... no, it's me who doesn't want him anymore."

"I don't want to like him anymore. Starting today, I know I can do it."

Wen Huaixu pressed his temples, feeling a headache coming on. He was helpless and had no way to deal with Yu Tingyu.

He could only instruct Wang Hang in the driver's seat to slow down, so as not to make Yu Tingyu, who was already dizzy from drinking, even more dizzy.

You still know who he is now, but don't forget who you are in a little while.

He went along with Yu Tingyu's words, saying, "Okay, then I don't like him anymore, and I won't mention him again, okay?"

Yu Tingyu neither nodded nor shook her head, but silently watched Wen Huaixu.

Wen Huaixu let her look at him, and after some time, he suddenly heard her say in a commanding tone, "Come closer."

Although it was spoken in a commanding tone, to Wen Huaixu it sounded more like a coquettish plea.

He didn't know what Yu Tingyu was going to do, but she was so drunk, what could she possibly do?

Wen Huaixu moved a few centimeters closer as instructed, but Yu Tingyu seemed to think that wasn't enough and directly grabbed his tie.

Now Wen Huaixu could feel Yu Tingyu's breath on his face, carrying a faint fragrance.

His body stiffened slightly, and he turned his face away.

Yu Tingyu stared intently at his profile, feeling that today's dream was exceptionally real, with sounds and tactile sensations, no longer a one-woman show.

She raised her hand.

After noticing Yu Tingyu's movement, Wen Huaixu reached out and grasped her wrist, his thin lips parting slightly: "Alright, sit still..."

He froze the moment the last word left his mouth.

It was his sister who kissed him.
