Border Prisoner: The Mad Boss Seduces Her Every Night

Chapter 58 The medicine is working again.

The armored vehicle moved through the night, the border highway outside the windows a monotonous darkness. A medical kit lay open at the feet, the smell of gauze and iodine mingling and permeating the enclosed compartment.

Shi Luyu leaned back in her seat, her skirt wrinkled, her knees covered in mud, and the red marks on her wrists from Xu Chenglin's pinching had turned bluish-purple.

She kept her head down, her fingers unconsciously twisting and turning on the hem of her skirt, her mind a complete mess.

Xu Yuanjia turned his head to look at her.

His right leg was wrapped in gauze, blood seeping from the white bandage, appearing dark red in the dim light of the carriage. But his gaze towards her held no pain, only a captivating scrutiny:

"Good boy/girl."

Shi Luyu looked up.

He reached out, pinched the hem of her skirt, and slowly lifted it up.

The fabric slid past her knees, and Shi Luyu froze. She reached out to press his hand, but he gently grasped her wrist, and she couldn't break free.

"Brother... what are you doing..." her voice was weak.

Xu Yuanjia didn't answer. He looked down, his gaze falling on the bluish-purple bruise on her leg. It was from when she bumped into Xu Chenglin's tent; the skin was a dark purple with slightly yellowed edges, which was quite jarring against her snow-white skin.

His fingertips gently covered her, pressing on the edge of the bruise with very light pressure, as if afraid of hurting her.

Shi Luyu flinched, not because of pain, but because his fingertips were too cold.

"Does it still hurt?" he asked, his voice very low.

She shook her head, then nodded.

Xu Yuanjia lowered his eyes, his thumb slowly drawing a circle on the bruise, his movements as gentle as if caressing a fragile piece of porcelain. His breath fell on her bare skin, warm, in waves, causing a slight tremor.

Shi Luyu bit her lip, her fingers gripping the leather of the seat so tightly that her knuckles turned white.

She couldn't explain why she was so nervous. He hadn't done anything excessive; he was just staring at the wound, yet her heart was pounding uncontrollably. Her limbs felt weak, as if her bones had been removed, and she slumped into the seat, her breathing becoming increasingly rapid.

medicine.

She remembered. The drug that woman had given her. The effects of the drug, which had been suppressed by Xu Chenglin's violence and the shock of the gunfire, were now all coming back, and even stronger than before.

The heat flared up again, making her dizzy and every inch of her skin yearn to be touched.

The shy secrets were revealed and ruthlessly attacked and disrupted.

Shi Luyu tilted her head back, pressing the back of her head against the car window, her vision blurred. The light from the overhead light in the carriage diffused into a warm yellow mist in her pupils.

She felt him lean down, forehead to forehead, nose to nose. Their breaths mingled, and his hot breath washed over her skin like warm water flowing over a dam.

A very soft, short whimper escaped her throat, which she then bit down hard on her lower lip, swallowing the sound back.

Her attention was completely occupied by him. Every breath, every flutter of her eyelashes, made her heart race. His fingers ran through her hair, the warmth of his palm pressing gently against the back of her head.

Her fingers loosened their grip on the seat and seized his collar. She no longer tried to back away, but instead clenched her fists until her knuckles turned white.

She didn't know what she wanted... Did she want him to step back, or did she want him to come closer?

She was completely enveloped in that warmth. His lips brushed against her earlobe, and he mumbled something, half-smiling. Shi Luyu didn't hear it, nor did she need to. Her consciousness was propelled to a great height, and when it fell back down, she felt as if all her strength had been drained away, leaving only long, slightly trembling breaths.

The car stopped at some point.

Xu Yuanjia straightened up, leaned back in his chair, and slowly adjusted his shirt collar. His movements were casual and natural, as if he had just taken a nap on her shoulder.

Shi Luyu curled up in the seat, her face buried in her arms, her ears so red they looked like they could bleed.

Xu Yuanjia reached out and ruffled her hair.

"My goodness, my house was bombed before." His tone was pitiful, completely different from before. "I've been staying in a hotel for the past few days."

"I can't sleep without your scent in the hotel."

Shi Luyu lifted her face from her arms, her eyes still red, and glared at him. That glare was soft and watery, utterly harmless: "Then... then what do you want?"

Xu Yuanjia blinked, his eyelashes as thick as two small fans: "Let's go to your house."

Shi Luyu opened her mouth, wanting to say no, but looking at his bandaged leg and his pale face, and remembering that he had taken the bullet for her, she swallowed back the refusal that was on the tip of her tongue and nodded sullenly.

-

The apartment is very small.

The sofa was spacious, but he couldn't stretch his legs out. There was only one bed in the bedroom, about 1.5 meters wide, with white sheets that were soft from washing, and the pillow still smelled of her shampoo.

Shi Luyu helped Xu Yuanjia into the bedroom and sat him on the edge of the bed. He couldn't bend his right leg, so she carefully lifted his injured leg up, being careful not to touch the wound.

"Brother, you sleep in the bed," she took a step back, pointed to the sofa outside, her tone a little stiff and nervous, "I'll sleep on the sofa."

Xu Yuanjia lazily looked up at her, his tone indifferent: "Lulu, your brother needs someone to take care of him on the first night after his injury. How can you take care of him while you're out here?"

Shi Luyu was speechless at his words. She opened her mouth to retort, but when she saw the bloodstains seeping through the gauze on his leg, she felt guilty.

"Then...then I'll come in and sleep on the floor." She went to the closet to find spare bedding.

Xu Yuanjia reached out, grabbed her by the back of her collar, and pulled her back. Shi Luyu stumbled and almost fell on him.

"Your brother will feel bad if you sleep on the floor." He let go of her hand, patted the empty space beside him, and said, "Get in."

Shi Luyu shook her head: "No, that won't work."

Xu Yuanjia had already lain down. He turned to his side, using his uninjured left leg to hold down a corner of the blanket, and propped his head up with his right hand to look at her.

The bedside lamp in the bedroom cast a warm glow on his face, and his eyes held no aggression, only an irresistible, soft plea, and an indescribable cunning.

"I promise I won't touch you," he said softly. "Sweetie, I'm really tired today."

Shi Luyu stood by the bed, hesitated for a full half minute, then turned off the light, climbed up in the dark, and lay down close to the edge of the bed.

There was a distance of nearly half a meter between the two people, and there was enough space in between for another person to lie down.

In the darkness, no one spoke.

She heard his breathing, even, steady, a little slower than usual. She heard the occasional car passing by outside the window, the low hum of the refrigerator starting up, and… her own heartbeat.

The blankets rustled, and she suddenly felt his body heat on her back. Not too close, not too far, just on the line between "touching" and "not touching".

Her shoulders stiffened slightly, and she dared not turn over, her breathing becoming softer.

A long time passed, so long that she thought he had fallen asleep.

An arm suddenly reached out from behind and wrapped around her waist.

Her body froze.

The hand gripped her waist, slightly curled, gradually tightening its grip, like an elegant predator leisurely savoring its meal.

Shi Luyu closed her eyes tightly, her eyelashes trembling slightly in the darkness.

A moment later, the arm tightened. She was pulled completely into his embrace, as if he were surrounding her, his heartbeat pounding against her back.

Her body slowly softened from its stiffness, as if melted by his body heat.

"Good boy/girl."

Xu Yuanjia's voice came from behind her ear, deep and husky, with an unsatisfied allure, making no attempt to conceal his desire for her:

"My brother didn't eat enough in the car."
