Shu Zi raised an eyebrow, remaining seated as steady as a mountain, even adjusting to a more comfortable position: "Oh? Is that so?"

Seeing her unyielding attitude, the woman could barely maintain her professional politeness.

Her fingers tightened slightly as she held the coffee cup, her tone becoming more forceful and carrying a clear reprimanding undertone:

"Didn't you hear me? This is the CEO's office, not a place anyone can just walk into! Which department are you from? Who brought you here? Did you have an appointment?"

Shu Zi stared at her quietly for two seconds, then suddenly chuckled softly through her mask (which she often forgot to take off).

She leaned back comfortably in the wide chair, casually folding her hands on her lap, and looked at the other person with a hint of interest in her voice:

"I'm not sure if he likes people touching his things, but..."

She paused, looked up, and calmly met the other person's angry gaze, adding slowly and deliberately:

"If I were to touch it, I'd probably be an exception..."

The woman's expression suddenly changed.

Her gaze shifted quickly from scrutiny and displeasure to vigilance and deeper inquiry. She looked Shu Zi up and down again, even more carefully than before.

However, no matter how she looked at him, the person in front of her, from head to toe, did not have a single designer item that could show his status.

His clothes were from a typical fast-fashion brand, his shoes were the kind you see everywhere, and his wrists were bare—he didn't even have a decent watch.

Its entire appearance screams "ordinary" and even "cheap."

The woman quickly made a judgment in her mind, and the slight vigilance and unease that had just arisen dissipated, replaced by an offensive anger and a deeper sense of superiority.

She resumed her condescending posture, a hint of undisguised mockery playing at the corners of her lips, and asked, word by word:

"An exception? You? What makes you think you're an exception?"

Shu Zi looked at her, then suddenly raised her hand and slowly took off her mask. She then raised her hand again and took off her baseball cap, which was pulled down low, and casually tossed it onto the large desk.

A face, beautiful and radiant even without makeup, was completely exposed to the air.

She leaned back in her chair, tilting her head slightly upwards to look at the woman standing in front of the desk. Her voice remained calm, yet carried an indescribable aura:

"Because the person sitting here right now is me."

"And the person standing here, speaking to me in this tone, is you."

The woman's pupils suddenly contracted.

Of course she recognized her.

Shuzi.

The name that has been frequently appearing on trending searches recently is associated with the variety show "For Your Heart's Desire." It's no secret within the Gu Group that they invested in that show.

The company has been circulating various versions of the story about the "legendary woman" who barged into the rooftop conference room in her pajamas last time.

Some say she's a mentally unstable obsessive fan, others say she's an obscure celebrity desperate for fame, and still others say... she has a close relationship with CEO Gu.

She never expected that the person in the rumors and the currently popular female celebrity in front of her were actually the same person!

Shu Zi watched the wonderful expressions that changed instantly on her face, and a very faint smile appeared on her lips, but the smile did not reach her eyes.

She maintained that relaxed posture, looking at the other person, her tone as calm as if stating a simple fact:

"You just said he doesn't like people touching his things?"

The woman (Lin Wanqing) moved her throat, but no sound came out.

Shu Zi chuckled softly, but it carried an invisible pressure:

That's someone else, not me.

She paused, her gaze falling on Lin Wanqing's slightly pale face. The casual curve of her lips deepened, and her voice, though not loud, was clear and distinct:

"Also, I suggest you keep quiet about seeing me here today, but..."

She changed the subject, her tone still calm, yet revealing an inherent arrogance and certainty:

"Even if you tell everyone, what difference does it make? Even if you dare to say it, which media outlet would dare to publish it?"

"You agree, right?"

He didn't raise his voice, didn't speak harshly, and didn't even change his posture.

Yet, the confidence and majesty that came from within her very being, the kind of presence that belonged to a top-tier noblewoman, spread out silently, pressing heavily on the air and making it almost impossible to breathe.

She sat there as if it were her right.

Lin Wanqing's face instantly lost all color, turning ashen white. Her lips trembled uncontrollably, as if she wanted to say something, but couldn't utter a single syllable.

Shu Zi leaned back, sinking comfortably into the wide, soft leather chair back. Her tone returned to its previous languidness, even tinged with a hint of listlessness, as she casually waved at her:

"Alright, if there's nothing else, you can go now. Close the door behind you."

Lin Wanqing stood frozen in place, her feet seemingly glued to the spot. It took several seconds before she seemed to regain some control of her body.

She was about to turn around when, almost at the same time, the office door was pushed open from the outside.

Gu Yan stood at the door, holding a folder in one hand. His gaze first swept around the room, passing over Lin Wanqing who stood stiff as a statue, and then steadily landed on Shu Zi, who was sitting in his seat.

He strode in, his steps unhurried, and stopped in front of the desk.

"What's going on?" he asked, his voice low but carrying a coldness and impatience born of someone accustomed to a position of power.

The question was directed at Lin Wanqing.

Lin Wanqing trembled violently, her lips opened and closed repeatedly, her throat felt as if it were being choked by something, and she couldn't utter a single word. Her face was even more pale than before.

Gu Yan didn't look at her again, turning his gaze to Shu Zi. He leaned slightly forward, his voice unconsciously lowering and softening slightly:

"What's wrong? Did she upset you?"

Shu Zi leaned back in her chair, arms crossed, chin slightly raised, her tone utterly self-righteous:

Do I look like the kind of person who would get upset by just anyone?

She paused, as if suddenly remembering something, and gestured with her chin towards Lin Wanqing, who was still standing there. She complained without any qualms, even with a hint of deliberate intent:

"However, this lady just told me that you have OCD and especially dislike others touching your things, especially this chair. She told me to be sensible and get up quickly and wait outside."

She tilted her head, glancing sideways at Gu Yan, a sly glint in her eyes, and deliberately dragged out her words:

"Huh—how come I didn't know you had this problem? 'Don't like others touching your things'? When did you add those?"

Looking at her "let's see how you make this up" expression, Gu Yan smiled helplessly and followed her words:

"Yes, that's a problem, but..."
