I became a farmer in the apocalypse.

Before Jiang Li could say anything, Lin An was the first to object.

"No way! This kind of car is prone to overturning in accidents. The chassis is not solid, so it's hard to drive on bumpy roads. Moreover, the speed is limited. If it encounters a mutated beast chasing it, it won't be able to shake it off and will eventually be trapped."

Jiang Li: "Yes, Lin An is right. This car can only be used in a limited number of scenarios."

If you can afford it, you should buy a better car.

Lin An: "You can use my car to transport goods for now; there's no rush to buy a new car."

That makes sense, but it's not good to keep bothering Lin An. It would be even more inconvenient if Lin An had to go on a mission. Jiang Li still plans to save money to buy her own car.

"Liu Qing, why don't you take your older brother to dig potatoes first?" Jiang Li said.

She's still waiting for the system to send her rice seeds!

Liu Qing nodded repeatedly and led Liu Weidong to the vegetable garden. As soon as they entered, Liu Weidong saw two fields of peas climbing on trellises and his eyes widened immediately.

"This, this...this..."

He was so excited he couldn't speak, as if he'd seen a ghost. "These weren't here yesterday! There weren't any peas in the garden yesterday at all!"

Where did these peas come from?

Liu Qing: "Brother, don't make a fuss. Miss Jiang is faster at farming than most people. Let's not look around and just focus on digging potatoes."

Liu Weidong was speechless.

Even if this kind of land grows quickly, it can't grow two fields of green beans overnight, right?

Could it be...?

Is this how she grows potatoes?

Liu Weidong was deeply shocked!

"Hey girl, do you think we can keep doing this business?" Liu Weidong asked.

Yesterday he was worried that once the potatoes were dug up, there wouldn't be any left, but today, seeing the peas that had grown overnight, he was surprised and filled with anticipation.

If Miss Jiang really grows vegetables that fast, then he wouldn't have this worry.

Liu Qing: "Whether we can continue this business depends on Miss Jiang. As long as she says it's okay, then it's okay."

Liu Weidong understood.

So the goods are not a problem; as long as Miss Jiang is willing, they can keep getting goods.

"Brother, whatever you see here in the future, pretend you didn't see it. Don't tell anyone and cause trouble for Miss Jiang."

Liu Weidong wasn't stupid; of course he wouldn't tell anyone, otherwise he'd be ruining his own career.

"Don't worry, girl, I know what I'm doing."

[10000 points credited to your account.]

Jiang Li immediately received 10,000 points transferred from Liu Weidong.

We're rich! We're rich!

Balance: 22499

With the money, Jiang Li couldn't resist checking the system shop to see if there was anything she could buy.

As she scrolled through the pages, she unexpectedly found something interesting. In the "Tools/Machinery" section, she saw a machine called "Fertilizer Making Machine".

[Item Description: Converts the stems, leaves, and fruits of mutated plants into normal fertilizer! Conversion rate: 5%, maximum conversion rate: 100 catties of plants per 24 hours.]

Price: 12999 points.

It is a machine that looks about the same size as a washing machine, consisting of three parts: the inlet, the body, and the outlet.

Jiang Li clicked "Buy" and selected the initial placement location as the wall next to the vegetable garden.

A fertilizer manufacturing machine appeared before everyone.

Liu Weidong was startled.

"What is this?"

Jiang Li: "A fertilizer manufacturing machine, used to produce fertilizer."

Jiang Yan curiously went over to take a look. "Sis, how do you use this? Does it need to be plugged in?"

Jiang Li said, "Don't rush, let me take a look first."

Jiang Li opened the shop, clicked on the item description, and found a line of text:

[Note: High-power equipment requires connection to the farm's dedicated power system. Please purchase the farm power equipment set in the [Construction] section. A full-coverage perimeter cable is included free of charge. Electricity costs will be settled monthly and automatically deducted from your account balance. The initial price is 1 yuan per kilowatt-hour.]

Jiang Li searched around and found the "Power Equipment Group," which appeared to consist of solar photovoltaic panels, combiner boxes, controllers, distribution boxes, battery banks, switches, cables, and so on.

Price: 9899 points/set.

Jiang Li glanced at her balance: 9500 points.

It still wasn't enough.

She looked at Lin An, "Could you lend me 500 points?"

"500 points credited to your account."

Lin An: "I've transferred it to you."

Upon receiving the points, Jiang Li promptly made the purchase. However, during construction, she discovered that the solar panel was actually over 100 square meters in size. Jiang Li didn't have a large enough roof to place it, so she simply placed it against the west wall of the farm for the time being and planned to modify it later.

In the blink of an eye, the system had set up the electrical equipment. The controller and distribution box were attached to the wall. Jiang Li spent 50 points to open a waterproof socket on the wall near the vegetable garden. After plugging in the plug, the [Fertilizer Making Machine] was set up.

Jiang Li said to Jiang Yan, "From now on, we can put all the mutated plants in here and turn them into fertilizer, so we won't need to buy fertilizer anymore."

Liu Weijun didn't leave either. He came over curiously and touched the machine, his eyes full of surprise.

The machines and sockets that appeared out of nowhere felt like a dream.

Jiang Yan quickly ran to the vegetable garden, dug up a few mutated potatoes, threw them into the feed inlet, turned on the switch, and the machine started running with a "rumble," emitting puffs of black smoke. Then a small handful of fertilizer was spilled out of the discharge outlet.

Being able to convert mutated plants into fertilizer is definitely a good thing! At a rate of 100 jin of plants per day, you can get 5 jin of fertilizer a day. Although it's not much, it still saves a lot of money on fertilizer. After all, one jin of fertilizer costs 17.5 points at the farming station, so 5 jin would be 87.5 points!

If Jiang Li bought a few more of these machines, she felt she could even open a fertilizer factory!

At that time, employees will be hired to harvest mutated grass and leaves. Mutated plants are everywhere, so there will be no shortage of them. Each machine will produce 5 catties of fertilizer per day, 10 machines will produce 50 catties of fertilizer, and 100 machines will produce 500 catties of fertilizer. 500 multiplied by 17.5 means that you can earn 8750 points a day just from selling fertilizer...

Jiang Li's smile gradually widened as she became completely absorbed in her own fantasy.

Why bother farming then? She wants to be the boss of a fertilizer factory!

Even the system couldn't stand it anymore after learning what Jiang Li was thinking.

[Please remember your role, host, and be a diligent and conscientious farmer! The fertilizer manufacturing machine is a limited-purchase machine! Only 10 units can be purchased at a time!]

Jiang Li: "..."

She had some doubts: was the machine limited from the beginning, or did the system limit purchases after it learned of her thoughts?

In short, her dream of becoming a fertilizer factory owner was shattered.

Jiang Li said to Jiang Yan, "From now on, all the mutated potatoes that are harvested from the fields should be thrown into this machine. It can take up to 100 jin a day and convert it into 5 jin of fertilizer. If that's not enough, we can dig up some mutated grass nearby and turn it into fertilizer as well."

Jiang Yan asked with some concern, "Won't fertilizer made from mutated plants affect the seed mutation rate?"

Jiang Li shook her head, "No, the fertilizer coming out of here is normal, the same as what we buy at the agricultural station."

Jiang Yan nodded.

Liu Weidong and Liu Qing loaded 200 jin of potatoes onto a four-wheeled vehicle and drove away with the bus that came to the field area.

At the same time, Jiang Li also received a system notification:

Today's task (trade 100 jin of potatoes) has been completed, and the reward has been sent to your resource reward box. Please check your account!
