After descending the mountain, my aloof fiancée became completely devoted to me.

Terrified, one of the assassins let out a roar, his eyes suddenly turning sinister. He immediately disregarded everything, dodged Lin Ping, and charged towards Shen Aoxue at the foot of the stone wall, intending to take her hostage and force Lin Ping to surrender.

The other assassins instantly understood and turned around in unison, several figures rushing straight towards the defenseless Shen Aoxue, their sharp blades aimed at her vital points.

"Dare to touch her? You're asking for death."

Lin Ping's eyes turned cold, and his murderous aura surged instantly. A chilling killing intent swept through the entire mountain forest, and the temperature seemed to plummet to freezing point.

He moved so fast that the naked eye could not catch him, instantly teleporting in front of Shen Aoxue and firmly protecting her behind him.

Before the charging assassins could even touch Shen Aoxue's clothes, Lin Ping raised his hand and unleashed several powerful bursts of internal energy. The invisible force, like a giant steel hammer, slammed heavily into the assassins.

Shen Aoxue was so frightened that she closed her eyes tightly, her face turned pale, and her whole body trembled slightly. She thought she was doomed and was filled with despair.

The expected pain did not come. Instead, she felt a broad and upright figure blocking her way, shielding her from all danger.

She slowly opened her eyes, and what came into view was Lin Ping's unharmed, proud and upright back, steadily protecting her in front of him. The fierce aura around him gradually dissipated, and she felt a strong sense of security.

With her heart finally at ease, Shen Aoxue's eyes reddened slightly. She quickly stepped forward and subconsciously gripped Lin Ping's sleeve tightly, her heart filled with lingering fear and dependence.

Meanwhile, the woman in yellow gazed at Lin Ping with a blush on her cheeks, her eyes filled with submission and admiration. She showed no fear whatsoever, and instead bowed and walked closer to Lin Ping step by step, completely letting go of all hostility. Her heart was already entirely devoted to him.

Liu Lian stared intently at Lin Ping's tall figure, his cheeks burning. There was no longer any trace of the killer's ruthlessness in his eyes, only a foolish infatuation and certainty. He took two stiff steps forward, tilted his head back, and stared at him stubbornly.

"I won't run away, I won't leave. I'll stay and be your bodyguard, protecting you!"

Her voice carried a hint of youthful determination as she clenched her fists, looking ready to go all out, completely ignoring her senior sister's pale face beside her.

Lin Ping's brows furrowed almost imperceptibly, a hint of impatience and coldness flashing in his eyes. He glanced at her indifferently, his tone detached and unwavering: "No need. I don't need anyone to protect me. Do as you please."

His strength was unparalleled, and he had few rivals in the world. Why would he need a little girl who had just come down from the mountain to protect him? To him, these words were both laughable and superfluous. He remained convinced that this was a new conspiracy between the two, just a different way of getting close and waiting for an opportunity to strike.
