Little Pocket is absolutely gorgeous!

It was a beauty she could never have imagined, even in her dreams.

After Lin Ye waited until she calmed down, he reached out and gently wiped away her tears with his thumb.

"Little Douzi has always been very good-looking." His voice was soft and earnest.

"It was true before, it is true now, and it will be true in the future."

Little Douzi sniffed and nodded emphatically.

Only then did she finally manage to look away from Lin Ye.

She glanced around.

Wow...it's so big!

"Godfather..." Little Douzi's eyes darted around.

"Is this...is this Xiaodouzi's room?" Her voice was full of anticipation, and her eyes sparkled as she looked at Lin Ye.

"That's right! From now on, this will be Xiao Douzi's room exclusively. No one can enter without Xiao Douzi's permission."

Lin Ye thought for a moment, then solemnly added, "Including my godfather!"

"Then, can we see Xiaodouzi's room?"

She tilted her head, and the tuft of hair on top of her head tilted to the side as well.

"Of course." Lin Ye helped her down, put on her shoes, and took her hand.

"Come on, let your godfather show you around."

He first pointed to the big bed where Xiao Douzi had just gotten off.

"This is Xiaodouzi's bed. Godfather specially had someone replace it with a bigger one so Xiaodouzi can roll around on it however he wants."

Then he walked to the bedside and patted the three big dolls: "These are the new friends that your godfather found for you, Xiaodouzi. You can give them names. They will sleep with you, chat with you, and listen to your secrets."

Xiao Douzi picked up one of the bears. The bear was much bigger than her, and it was a little difficult for her to hold it, but she couldn't bear to let go.

She buried her face in the bear's belly and mumbled, "Hello, Little Pocket's new friend."

Lin Ye smiled and led her to the other side of the room.

"This is the dressing room."

He pushed open a white door, revealing a large and exquisite space.

There were cabinets on all four sides, some with clothes hanging on them, some with folded blankets, but most of them were still empty.

There weren't many clothes hanging there, only a dozen or so sets, all of which were ready-made clothes for the current season that Zhou Ran had someone deliver yesterday.

Hoodies, cardigans, pants, jackets—each outfit was perfectly coordinated and hung together.

Below were several pairs of shoes: boots, sneakers, dress shoes…

Several hats hung on hooks behind the door, including berets and knit hats...

There were also several sets of plush pajamas in different colors, folded and placed in the compartments.

Little Douzi looked at the clothes and his mouth opened into an "O".

"These...are all from Xiaodouzi?"

"That's right! They're all from Xiaodouzi!"

......

"That's the toy room."

Lin Ye raised his hand and pointed to the room opposite the dressing room.

Open the door—

A faint woody scent mixed with the lingering smell of foam wafted up, revealing a fairytale world yet to be built.

The ground was covered with colorful foam mats, which were pieced together seamlessly, each one painted with different little animals, houses, flowers and grass.

Several low toy shelves stood against the wall. They were white, only about waist-high, but quite long, with three side-by-side against the same wall. They were currently empty, waiting to be filled.

Little Douzi stood at the door, barefoot on the doormat, his ten chubby toes curling slightly.

She slowly squatted down, placed her palm on the little rabbit pattern on the floor mat, gently touched the rabbit's long ears with her fingertips, then raised her head, her eyes curving into two crescent moons.

"Godfather, there's a little rabbit on the ground."

"Yes, later on, once Xiaodouzi has chosen her favorite toy, the little rabbit can play with her."

Next to the toy room is the study.

The study had a scent of paper and wood mixed together. Light streamed in through the window, falling on the dark wooden floor and creating a warm, matte finish.

The walls are a refreshing yellow-green. The right wall is lined with bookshelves, made of wood and painted a light grass green. Several rows of books are already arranged inside, mostly children's picture books, and there is also a set of encyclopedias, thick and large format, with swirling nebulae and dark blue deep sea printed on the cover.

In front of the bookshelf was a white desk with a pen holder on it. Inside the pen holder were several sharpened pencils, all standing upright with their tips pointing upwards, like a cluster of bamboo shoots.

Next to it was a table lamp with a light blue, semi-transparent shade that looked like glass but was much softer.

"This is Xiaodouzi's desk." Lin Ye pulled out the chair in front of the desk.

The chair is also white, with a backrest shaped like a little rabbit and two long ears sticking out from both sides.

"From now on, Xiaodouzi can read, write, and draw here."

Little Douzi climbed onto the chair and sat down. He reached out and touched the smooth tabletop, then touched the lampshade of the table lamp. His fingertips touched the cool, light blue plastic surface.

She withdrew her hand, placed it on her knee, turned her head, and said softly, "Godfather...it's so nice here..."

Lin Ye leaned against the bookshelf, crossed his arms in front of his chest, and smiled slightly.

He looked around the room, his gaze sweeping across the empty bookshelves before settling back on Xiao Douzi.

"It's still a bit empty. There wasn't enough time to finish." His tone was somewhat unwilling.

"Godfather will definitely buy Xiaodouzi even more things in the future, so that our Xiaodouzi can live the life of a little princess!"

Little Douzi turned around on the chair, dangling his feet over the edge and dangling them.

She looked at Lin Ye and shook her head. Her hair swayed a few times with her movement, and a few stray strands clung to her cheeks.

"No need, Godfather! It's already this good!" Little Douzi said with a sigh of satisfaction. "There's no need to buy Little Douzi anything more, Little Douzi doesn't need it."

After speaking, he pursed his lips, his expression serious and sensible.

She didn't want to cause her godfather too much trouble; he had already been very, very good to her!

Lin Ye walked over and squatted down in front of Xiao Douzi until his line of sight was level with hers.

He reached out and grasped Xiaodouzi's two hands.

"Little Douzi, listen to what your godfather has to say." Lin Ye stared into her eyes.

His eyes were a deep color, reflecting the sunlight streaming in from the window and her small reflection.

He spoke slowly and deliberately, each word seeming to be squeezed out of his chest, carrying weight, "Your godfather buys you things—it's what your godfather wanted to do. It's what your godfather did willingly."

Little Douzi's eyelashes trembled.

"Godfather just wants to be good to Xiaodouzi!"

"I want to give Xiaodouzi the best of everything. I want Xiaodouzi to live in the best room, wear the best clothes, and eat the best food. I want to make up for everything Xiaodouzi should have had but didn't have in the past!"

Lin Ye paused for a moment, considered his words carefully, and then continued speaking.

"Because Godfather cares about Xiaodouzi." His voice lowered a little.

"Little Douzi is the daughter of my godfather's best brother, his goddaughter, and family. If my godfather doesn't treat you well—who else would he treat well?"
