"It's a lie, a lie, right..."

Sakura Matou curled up tightly, her nails digging deep into the flesh of her forearms. Black lines slowly crept up her neck, only to be pressed back down with all her might. Her entire figure flickered violently like a picture with a poor signal, and her trembling pupils were filled with terror and despair.

"No...it's not like that!" Her murmurs were barely audible, yet her body was frantically tearing between light and darkness.

"cherry!"

Shirou Emiya and Medusa ignored Shinji and immediately turned back to run towards her.

"No, don't come any closer!" Matou Sakura shouted hoarsely, and a massive amount of magical power went berserk instantly, causing the entire school building to shatter under this terrifying force.

At the critical moment, Lin Shiye carried Rin Tohsaka and leaped out through the smoke, landing steadily on the ground outside. Almost simultaneously, the golden spear tip deflected and pressed down on Shirou's crossbeam, and Karna swiftly appeared, grabbing him by the back of the collar.

The snow was still falling, silently covering the broken walls and ruins.

"Sakura?!" Shirou Emiya broke free as soon as he was put down and rushed towards the ruins like a madman.

As the smoke cleared, Matou Sakura's figure had long since vanished. Only Medusa and Matou Shinji remained, lying weakly in the rubble, their fates unknown.

Emiya Shirou clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white, and without the slightest hesitation, turned and chased after Sakura in the direction she had fled.

Watching his departing figure, Lin Shiye silently pondered what would happen next.

Should one uphold their ideal of being a righteous ally and personally eliminate Sakura, or betray themselves and become Sakura's only ally?

"Lin, can you put me down now?"

Rin Tohsaka's soft voice came from her arms, tinged with a barely perceptible awkwardness.

"Okay." Lin Shiye obediently let go.

"That's so unfair. You were calling him Shi Ye just now."

Rin Tohsaka rolled her eyes.

"Master." Karna walked over carrying Medusa and Shinji Matou.

"What should we do with them? Kill them?"

Rin Tohsaka pondered for a moment, then turned to look at Shiya Hayashi.

"Ask me?" Lin Shiye raised an eyebrow.

"Mm." Rin Tohsaka nodded.

I'd like to hear your opinion.

"Shinji Matou... I'll kill him if you ask me to," Lin Shiye said, but then his tone changed immediately.

"But I don't recommend you do that."

"Why?" Rin Tohsaka asked.

"Although he certainly deserved to die, if he really died," Lin Shiye said slowly.

"Sakura Matou will probably be quite shocked, won't she?"

Rin Tohsaka fell silent, seemingly agreeing with Shiya Lin's statement, but after a few seconds, she added:

"Sakura... I had suspected it before, but I just didn't want to believe it. She harmed so many people and deserves to be punished."

"I'll kill him myself..."

"That arrogant tsundere," Lin Shiye muttered to himself.

"What?!" Rin Tohsaka exclaimed in alarm.

"I'm talking to you." Lin Shiye took a step closer and looked into her eyes.

"He's clearly heartbroken, but he still puts on a grumpy face. I can't be bothered to complain."

"It's not your place to talk to me! You've been just watching the show the whole time!" Rin Tohsaka raised her hand to hit him, but Lin Shiye easily dodged it.

Seeing the two arguing for no apparent reason, Karna looked left and right, then stood aside without saying a word.

"Alright, alright, since I've had my fun, in exchange, I'll resolve this matter properly." After saying that, Lin Shiye snapped his fingers, restoring the teaching building to its original state.

I love going to school, and nobody can stop me. If I can't go to school, who will make up for the fun I miss?

Seeing this, Rin Tohsaka's eyes widened. "Dude, you weren't exaggerating."

Destroying a building is easy. But rebuilding a building in an instant is a completely different matter.

"Don't just stand there, go find them." Lin Shiye said, and then left first.

Seeing this, Rin Tohsaka immediately followed. Karna also silently transformed into his spirit form and disappeared from sight.

The snow is still falling...

.........

"I want to...be Sakura's only partner!"

"senior…"

The heavy snow covered their shoulders, turning their hair white. Shirou Emiya held the trembling girl tightly in his arms. After a heart-wrenching internal struggle, he finally made his choice.

He took off his coat and wrapped it around Ying's thin body, then took out the gleaming key from his pocket and gently placed it in her cold palm.

That's his house key.

"Don't lose it again," he said softly.

Sakura Matou's tears instantly burst forth. She looked at the keys in her palm and remembered the first time Shirou Emiya gave her these keys a long, long time ago.

She was truly delighted; it was the second time she had received such a precious gift from someone important.

"Let's go home."

"Um…"

The two held each other's hands tightly and walked slowly towards home. But as soon as they turned their heads, they saw Lin Shiye and Tohsaka Rin standing under a street lamp not far away, quietly watching them.

Emiya Shirou blushed, while Matou Sakura lowered her head with mixed feelings.

The fact that Matou Sakura was so easily appeased is largely due to Hayashi Shiya.

Firstly, because he altered the timeline, Matou Sakura didn't suffer any inhuman torture; at most, she was bullied at home by Matou Shinji.

It's just bullying. What normal Japanese student hasn't been bullied?

If you don't bully others just because you're afraid of dying, what's the difference between that and being dead?

To bully even knowing it might lead to death, to do something even knowing it's impossible—that's the will of a tyrant.

Most importantly, because of Lin Shiye's presence, Matou Sakura noticed that her older sister's gaze was fixed on him most of the time and almost never looked away.

This was fantastic news for Sakura. She had been feeling inferior because her older sister was so dazzling, but now, her senior was completely hers, and no one could compete with her anymore!

Lin Shiye: It's hard to say.

"Tokiyo, Tohsaka... Haha, what a coincidence~" Emiya Shirou scratched his head.

"You're so clever!" Rin Tohsaka retorted mercilessly.

"Let's go to your place first. I can take care of Sakura and the Shadow's matter," Lin Shiye said.

"Really?" Emiya Shirou was overjoyed, and Matou Sakura also looked over in surprise.

"Yeah, the sooner we finish, the better." Lin Shiye said, then looked at Ying and added.

"Don't worry, Sakura, no one will die because of you."

Before long, the group returned to the Emiya residence, trudging through the snow.

The warm light in the entryway dispelled the chill, and the radiator hummed softly, keeping the howling wind and snow outside at bay.

After a quick wash, Matou Sakura went to her room, lay obediently on the bed, wrapped in a blanket, feeling uneasy.

"Go, lull her to sleep." In the corridor, Lin Shiye looked at Emiya Shirou.

"Me? Me?" Shirou Emiya paused for a moment, pointed to his nose, and his face began to turn red again.

"Sister can go too." Lin Shiye then looked at Tohsaka Rin.

"You can't expect me, a complete stranger, to appease them, can you?"

Rin Tohsaka turned her head away haughtily, her ears turning red.

"Then I'll go." Shirou Emiya quickly went into the house, making sure to close the door behind him.

Only the two of them remained in the corridor.

Rin Tohsaka turned to look at Shiya Lin, her earlier awkwardness gone, and her tone became serious:

"What exactly are you planning to do? I don't think that simply peeling the shadow from Sakura's body will wake up those who are unconscious."

"Those people are fine." Lin Shiye looked at the closed door and lowered his voice.

"The shadowy figure simply dragged their consciousness into Sakura's dream, feeding on their spiritual energy to survive. Their vital signs are perfectly stable; at most, they'll have a headache for a couple of days after waking up."

"So you're going to go into the dream to solve it?" Rin Tohsaka frowned.

"Isn't this too dangerous? That thing is the absolute ruler in Sakura's subconscious; it's practically invincible in her dreams..."

"No one can claim to be invincible in front of me," Lin Shiye interrupted her.

"I really envy your perpetually positive attitude," Rin Tohsaka sighed.

"Your level is too low." Lin Shiye struck a pose like a master with his hands behind his back.

It's normal that you can't understand my state of mind.

Rin Tohsaka: ...

Just as Rin Tohsaka was about to lose her temper and was about to elbow him, the bedroom door was gently pushed open a crack, and Shirou Emiya peeked out.

"Shi Ye, she's asleep."

Lin Shiye gave a thumbs up, and then he and Rin Tohsaka walked in quietly, one after the other.

"Okay, you guys stand back a bit," Lin Shiye said.

"I'm going to begin."

Emiya Shirou and Tohsaka Rin took a few steps back.

Lin Shiye stretched out his finger and gently touched Matou Sakura's brow, and a wisp of light quietly bloomed.

"Lincoln is such a big idiot!"
