Qin Muyuan rode Wangcai closer and overheard the conversation of the people outside the city gate.

"You fled from Silverflower City? Your Silverflower City has been bewitched too?"

"Yes! You don't know, that demon was terrifying! It was still noon, and the sky was still bright! But as soon as that demon arrived, the entire Silver Flower City went dark, as if someone had covered the sky with a cloth..."

"What's that! Over there, there were no unusual signs in the sky, but my neighbor suddenly died, bleeding from all seven orifices! Not long after they died, they turned into corpses and stood up again. It was truly terrifying! I heard it's because these corpses were parasitized by demons..."

"Fortunately, my family noticed something was wrong beforehand and escaped! And fortunately, the current emperor is benevolent and took us in, even opening a granary for us to store food..."

"Yes! Although the grain had a fishy smell from being stored for too long, it's edible, and as long as we're alive, that's good..."

Hearing the conversation of the people outside the city walls, Qin Muyuan had a sudden thought:

Following the exclamation mark, Qin Muyuan found his target.

It was a woman with a similarly dusty and gray face. Although her features were obscured by the dust, her figure was still shapely and graceful.

It's clear that if she weren't covered in dust, she must be a woman of rather good looks.

And that's why the woman was surrounded by several burly men.

In front of these burly men stood a young man dressed in silk and wearing a jade pendant, whose attire was unlike that of ordinary people.

Then the young man in fine clothes chuckled and raised his hand to reach for the woman's face.

"Get out of the way!"

Upon seeing this, the woman let out a terrified scream, slapped away the hand of the richly dressed young man reaching out to her, and tried to run away.

But the woman was already surrounded by the young man in fine clothes' guards, so there was no room for her to escape.

He could only stare in panic at the young man in fine clothes as a burly man blocked his retreat.

"Oh? Still resisting?"

Seeing the woman resist, the richly dressed young man was not angry at all; on the contrary, he became even more interested in her.

A wicked smile crept across his face:

"Great! I love these thorny wildflowers! They're only fun when they're tamed!"

Upon hearing the words of the richly dressed young man, the guard beside him immediately smiled obsequiously:

"Only a young master could tame such wildflowers!"

"Of course! After all, I am the renowned Dragon Spear Master of the entire Fire Cloud City!"

Upon hearing this, the young man in the fine clothes laughed even more heartily.

This scene caused many residents in the surrounding shantytowns to clench their fists.

When they saw the young man's fine clothes, and the several burly male guards around him who were dressed in short jackets and had short swords at their waists.

All the people who wanted to stand up for the woman lowered their heads.

The reason why chivalrous acts are widely praised is that people have passionate hearts, but lack the ability to act on them and cannot resist the subsequent retaliation of evildoers.

It is precisely because they are rare, and because people yearn for them but cannot achieve them, that the world longs for a great hero.

However, how can one expect to find a true hero?

Suddenly, a clear sword cry rang out in the shantytown.

The people looked up and saw a young man with black hair and black eyes, followed by a huge wolf demon, slowly walking into the shantytown.

Around the woman who was surrounded, blood spurted from the necks of the four burly men at the same time!

And the heads of these burly servants all fell to the ground at that moment!

This horrifying scene left all the people wide-eyed and in a deathly silence.

In the shantytown, the young man in fine clothes stood frozen in place, slowly raising his hand to touch his cheek.

The young man in fine clothes let out a scream of extreme terror, but the scream stopped abruptly before it could resound through the sky.
