LOL: Do I have to be a spinning top too?

Chapter 17: Riven's Sword Shines, Solo Kill

"IG's decision to ban Camille is quite obvious."

From the commentary booth, Miller's tone was confident:

"They must have studied Glory's performance on the Rift and know that his Camille is his signature champion."

Rita chimed in, "That's right. Apparently, Glory's Camille was also dominating in previous scrims."

"IG clearly doesn't want to let go."

From the TES players' bench, coach Chieh's voice came through the headset:

"As expected, Camille was banned. We'll ban Wink's Rakan as planned."

"Wink's Rakan is the engine of IG's early and mid-game tempo, we can't let him play."

Li Hu responded and glanced at the ban list on the other side.

IG's second ban: Malphite.

Chieh's lips twitched: "Your Malphite got banned too."

Li Hu smiled and said, "The opposing coach has done his homework quite well."

Chieh didn't reply, but instead banned Nightmare.

This is a ban targeting IG's mid-jungle synergy, preventing the enemy from using the Nocturne/Orianna combo after reaching level six.

IG's third ban: Doge.

All three ban slots were given to Li Hu.

"Seriously? IG's first three bans were all from the top lane rookie's champion pool?"

Miller's tone was clearly surprised:

"Camille, Malphite, Nasus..."

"This is clearly targeting Glory as a top-tier top laner in the LPL!"

Rita was also stunned for half a second: "This... is indeed a bit surprising."

"According to an unofficial source, a player who had a scrim with them a few days ago said that TES's top laner is quite skilled with Nasus, so it seems that IG's coaching staff has really done some research."

In the four-dog livestream room on the Tiger Duck platform, Zita slammed his fist on the table:

"OMG! IG banned Glory in the first three bans!"

"This level of respect, I know, is it any different from beating TheShy? Huh?"

Crystal laughed so hard he slapped his thigh:

"Yarei, all of BaGe's heroes have been banned, Malphite and Nasus are gone, what will this newbie pick next?"

"We can't exactly pull out Garen, can we?"

Letme chuckled: "To be honest, it's rare in Demacia Cup history for a rookie to be targeted by the opponent's first three bans, all focusing on the top lane."

"I'm really looking forward to it!"

Both teams have finalized their lineups.

Blue side IG: Top laner Aatrox, jungler Vi, mid laner Viktor, ADC Lucian, support Nami.

Red team TES: Top lane Riven, Jungle Lee Sin, Mid lane Taliyah, ADC Caitlyn, Support Lux.

When Li Hu locked in Riven in the fifth-floor counter-position, the Four Dogs livestream room was silent for a full second.

Then they erupted simultaneously.

"Riven!"

The posture caused him to spring up from the chair:

"Let's draw our swords directly!!"

"This kid picked Riven against Aatrox! I knew it!"

"How long has it been since Riven played in a competitive match?"

"The last person who dared to play Riven on their debut was..."

Before he could finish speaking, Crystal interrupted:

"Are, could it be that person?"

Letme's voice carried a subtle emotion:

"TheShy of S7..."

"As expected, she is one of the top three Riven players in the Korean server."

He nodded in agreement.

"Nowadays, newcomers dare to pick Riven in professional matches. Regardless of how well they play, they are genuinely confident."

AJ added, "And the fact that he picked Riven as the second pick shows that he has a lot of confidence in himself."

"This top lane match is going to be interesting."

Crystal, standing nearby, suddenly chimed in: "Just don't get completely destroyed. Riven isn't that easy to beat Aatrox."

"Although Neny is not a top player in the LPL, Aatrox is one of his signature skills."

The game has finished loading, and ten beams of light descend upon Summoner's Rift.

Li Hu flexed his fingers and his gaze fell on Riven's model.

The day the broken sword is reforged will be the day the knight returns.

In his past life, his favorite hero was Riven. He spent thousands of games practicing this hero, going from being a benchwarmer to being a pro.

Although after arriving in this world, I played Riven less because I needed to practice my skills with other heroes.

However, Riven is a popular champion in ranked games.

So I quickly reached 100% proficiency, plus that skill that was etched into my muscle memory...

Li Hu was confident he could perform even better than with Camille.

"Xiao Fang, you don't need to come to the top lane this game, I can dominate it myself."

Li Hu spoke in a flat tone.

"Huh?" Xiao Fang was taken aback.

"You help mid and bot, if Mark's Lux lands her Q, you can kill her."

"Okay!"

Xiao Fang's voice held a hint of surprise in his reply; junglers love hearing this kind of self-deception.

At level one, both sides maintained their positions, and no level one team fight broke out.

Before the minion waves even clashed, Li Hu's Riven was stuck in the river bushes.

Neny's Aatrox emerged from the tri-bush and gazed at Riven from afar.

"Riven has an advantage in the early game against Aatrox."

Miller's voice was steady:

"Aatrox's skills have long cooldowns, and his level 1 Q damage isn't enough. Glory should play very aggressively."

The moment the words were spoken, the first wave of minions clashed.

Li Hu didn't rush to push the lane, but instead stood to the side of the melee minions, watching the Sword Demon come forward to last-hit the enemy.

The moment Aatrox raised his hand, Riven moved.

The first part of the Broken Wings Dance is a dash, followed by a normal attack to cancel the recovery animation. The second part of the Broken Wings Dance is then followed by another normal attack.

The Sword Demon's health dropped by a small amount.

Neny reacted quickly, retaliating with a Q-Darkin Blade.

But Riven's third Broken Wings Dance landed perfectly, and Aatrox's Q hit empty air.

"A brilliant blood transfusion!"

Miller's voice rose: "Glory's Riven skill is extremely high! The cancel animation is so smooth!"

In the commentary booth, Rita also showed a surprised expression:

"This lightning-fast QA combo was executed quite smoothly; for a newcomer, the fundamentals are very solid."

The first-level blood transfusion gave Li Hu confidence.

Neny's Aatrox proficiency is not bad, but his Riven profile is already 100%.

What does 100% mean?

This means that he has completely mastered every skill of Riven, every cancel of the aftercast animation, every opportunity to trade blows, and every game strategy.

At level two, Aatrox learned Shadow Strike and wanted to come up and unleash a combo.

Riven countered with a Soul Shock Roar to stun, followed by Broken Wings Dance three times plus a passive auto-attack, and immediately retreated after the combo was finished.

The Aatrox's health was reduced to half, while Riven was almost unharmed.

After level two, Li Hu had already pushed the lane all the way to the enemy tower.

Neny's health was reduced to below half.

Once the hero Aatrox's health is reduced in the early game, his health recovery is simply insufficient without sufficient armor penetration and level.

"Wait, how come this rookie Riven is so dominant?"

Neny's forehead began to sweat.

He's played in the LPL for so long and has seen quite a few people play Riven.

But the number of people who could make him so restrained could be counted on one hand.

Isn't this person a newcomer who just turned eighteen?

The king of the streets at the top of the Rift?

How come your lane dominance is so strong?

The director seemed to have sensed the tension in the top lane as well, frequently switching the camera to the top lane.

In the scene, the Sword Demon's health was almost depleted, forcing him to retreat back to the city.

After Li Hu pushed the lane, he was one level ahead.

At 3:30, Aatrox used Teleport to return to lane.

Five and a half minutes in, Riven hid in the bushes and used her position to reach level six.

The Sword Demon is still at level 5 because his experience points are lagging behind.

Li Hu's voice came through the earphones.

"Now it's my turn."

Li Hu hid in the grass, waiting for a new wave of minions to arrive, while the Sword Demon frantically probed behind the minion wave.

He didn't rush in, but waited for the Sword Demon to come forward and finish off the cannon minion.

Finally, the Sword Demon couldn't resist and took a few steps forward, wanting to gain experience points—now was the time.

Li Hu's fingers landed on the keyboard, and he pressed the R key for Exile's Edge.

The moment the broken sword was reforged, a streak of emerald green sword energy shot out from behind Riven.

Riven then flashed right in front of him, stunned him with a Soul-Shaking Roar, followed by a basic attack and the third stage of Broken Wings Dance, unleashing the sword energy of Exile's Edge.

A series of combos flowed smoothly, and Neny's screen turned gray.

FirstBlood.

The announcement of the first blood resounded throughout the venue.

Miller stood up abruptly from the commentary booth:

"The Sword Demon got a solo kill before even reaching level six!"

"Riven flashed and stunned Aatrox, unleashing a full combo; Aatrox didn't even have time to use Flash!"

"The damage calculation is incredibly precise!"

Rita couldn't help but exclaim, "Glory's Riven is incredibly skilled!"

"From the initial exchange of blows at level one to the kill threshold at level six, every step was meticulously planned in advance!"

Tiger Duck Live.

He stared wide-eyed at the screen, and after a long pause, finally managed to utter a sentence:

"Holy crap! He really got a solo kill!"

"In less than seven minutes, Riven solo-killed Aatrox!"

"My god, is this a newbie?"

"Now I finally understand why Guo Hao let Da Huang go."

Crystal exclaimed in surprise from the side:

"Yare, is this newcomer really that good?"

"Wait, Riven's combo proficiency looks kind of familiar..."

Letme's expression turned serious: "His lightning-fast QA canceling of the aftercast animation is too smooth; this isn't a hero he just practiced temporarily."

"To be honest, I haven't seen Riven this strong in a long time."

AJ quietly added from the side, "This reminds me of TheShy from S8..."

Zita nodded: "Indeed, it reminds me of Shy."

"They dare to fight and struggle, and most importantly, they can win."
