After the two of them had seasoned their noodles and sat down at the table, the two steaming bowls of noodles were soon finished.

"Wow, I'm finally full!"

Yanzi patted her round belly, let out a satisfied burp, and her adorable appearance almost made Su Fengnan burst out laughing.

"It's good as long as it tastes good. I'll cook for you again next time," Su Fengnan replied.

"Okay," Yanzi said with a smile as she cleared the dishes, then casually asked, "When are you going back to Zijiang today?"

"This afternoon, I'll be leaving soon and won't be back. I'm heading straight back to Zijiang," Su Fengnan said while wiping the table. "The next time you come will be on the weekend. The trial opening is just around the corner. If you get too busy, you can hire someone to help you."

"Don't worry, Hai and I will get the shop sorted out." Yanzi's tone was firm, giving Su Fengnan a lot of confidence.

After getting ready, the two went out together. Yanzi turned around and went to the shop to keep an eye on the renovation progress, while Su Fengnan went straight to Professor Wang's house at the Normal University to pick up the two seals.

When Su Fengnan arrived at Teacher Wang's house, she saw that the door was still open, so she gently knocked on it.

"There are people home, come in." A deep, steady male voice came from inside the house.

Su Fengnan walked in slowly and went straight to Teacher Wang's workroom.

"Hello, Teacher Wang, I'm here to pick up the seal."

While engrossed in his work, Teacher Wang looked up upon hearing the sound and recognized the young woman from before. Without a word, he put down his carving knife, turned around, took out the carved seal from the cabinet, and gently placed it on the table.

"It's all carved, take a look."

Su Fengnan picked up the seal and examined it closely. She saw that the lines on the seal surface were crisp and smooth, the knife work was neat and skillful, and there were no burrs or cracks. It looked very exquisite.

She carefully put the stamp into her bag, thanked them, paid the remaining balance, and then turned and left.

Su Fengnan had just stepped out of the university gates when her phone rang. Seeing Zhou Chenyu's name flashing on the screen, a slight smile appeared on her lips as she answered the phone: "Hello, Brother Zhou."

On the other end of the phone, Zhou Chenyu keenly picked up on the background noise of people and traffic. His brow furrowed slightly, and his tone carried a hint of concern: "Nan'er, it sounds pretty noisy over there. Where are you right now?"

"I'm at the Normal University, I just came to pick something up." Su Fengnan turned slightly to avoid some of the crowd.

"Did you get the items?"

"Yes, I got it." She paused, a hint of anticipation in her voice, "When are we going back to Zijiang?"

Zhou Chenyu glanced at his watch, pondered for a moment, and said, "How about this, we'll go back after lunch. Send me your exact location, and I'll drive over to pick you up."

"it is good."

After hanging up the phone, Su Fengnan obediently sent the address and walked to the shade of the tree to wait for Zhou Chenyu.

Zhou Chenyu drove very fast and soon arrived at the location where Su Fengnan had sent the message. From a distance, he spotted the little girl standing under the shade of a tree by the roadside; her figure appeared somewhat frail.

Su Fengnan was completely unaware as the car silently glided up in front of her. Her head was lowered, her gaze fixed on a small object in her palm, her fingertips unconsciously rubbing it, her whole being immersed in her own little world.

Zhou Chenyu didn't urge him, but simply pressed the horn softly once.

"drop--"

A short, sharp sound broke the silence, startling Su Fengnan and snapping her back to reality. She looked up somewhat blankly, her gaze meeting the eyes of the person in the driver's seat.

"Brother Zhou..." she called softly.

Zhou Chenyu's gaze lingered on her for a moment, then his voice was low: "Get in the car."

Su Fengnan snapped out of her daze, quickly stepped forward, opened the car door, climbed into the passenger seat, and fastened her seatbelt. Only then did Zhou Chenyu step on the gas and slowly drive away from the roadside.

Zhou Chenyu led Su Fengnan to a retro-style restaurant. Stepping inside felt like stepping back into the 1980s. The dim light bulbs, the mottled red brick walls, and the old songs playing from the radio all exuded the charm of that era.

The store has a retro decor, and the two chose a quiet booth to sit down.

Soon, a smiling waiter handed over the menu: "Welcome! What would you two like to order?"

Zhou Chenyu casually handed the menu to Su Fengnan, saying in a relaxed tone, "Nan'er, what would you like to eat? Order whatever you like."

Su Fengnan smiled and waved her hand: "Since we're here to experience it, let's just order their signature dishes. I don't really have anything in particular I want to eat."

Zhou Chenyu nodded upon hearing this, took back the menu, glanced at it, and promptly named four specialty dishes. The waiter noted them down and then turned to make the arrangements.

Recalling the scene of Su Fengnan standing under the shade of the tree in a daze, Zhou Chenyu felt something strange in his heart. It was a kind of loneliness with a faint sense of alienation that he had never seen before.

"By the way, what were you looking at so intently by the roadside just now?" Zhou Chenyu suddenly asked, his gaze fixed on her eyes.

Upon hearing this, Su Fengnan remained calm. She had anticipated that Zhou Chenyu would ask, so she was already prepared. She calmly took the stamp out of her bag and handed it to Zhou Chenyu, saying, "Here, this is it."

Zhou Chenyu took the seal, his fingertips tracing the cool engravings. He examined it carefully for a moment, his gaze lingering on the characters "Nan" and "Xin Yuan," then he looked up, his eyes deep: "Nan'er, is there any special meaning behind carving these two seals?"

When Zhou Chenyu asked this question, Su Fengnan didn't know how to answer him for a moment. She lowered her eyes, thought for a moment, and said, "I bought it when I came to Zhucheng last time. The shopkeeper recommended a seal-carving artist, so I had it made too, thinking that it might be useful in the future."

"Is that really all?" Zhou Chenyu stared at her, his tone carrying a hint of probing.

"Hmm... I really didn't think too much about it at the time." Su Fengnan nodded vigorously, as if afraid that she wouldn't believe her.

"Alright, whatever makes you happy." Zhou Chenyu didn't ask any more questions and returned the seal to her.

Soon, all the dishes were served.

As Zhou Chenyu served her food, he casually said, "Nan'er, I'll be leaving for a while. During this time, please visit your grandmother more often, okay?"

Upon hearing this, Su Fengnan's heart skipped a beat, and she subconsciously asked, "What happened? How long is it to walk?"

"There's been a problem with the company project that I need to handle." Zhou Chenyu paused, seemingly considering his words. "If things go quickly, it should only take a week."

Zhou Chenyu didn't dare tell the young girl the truth. He had found out part of the truth about his mother's accident back then and needed to go back to deal with some people, and also resolve those arranged marriages at the same time.

As a man, he was capable of handling it and didn't want his young girl to worry.

Su Fengnan looked at him and nodded obediently, "Okay, then I will go see Grandma. Brother Zhou, focus on your work."

A few seconds of silence followed between them. Su Fengnan took a deep breath, trying to suppress the surging emotions in her heart and make her voice sound as calm as possible: "Then... when is Brother Zhou leaving?"

My flight is at 8 PM tomorrow night.

As soon as he finished speaking, the air seemed to freeze for a moment.
