Han Yingying stood outside the door. She understood. These people didn't know that Li Changsheng had been arrested, nor did they know that the data was in her hands.

She pushed open the door and went inside.

The factory was spacious. Several large servers were placed in the middle. The indicator lights on the servers were flashing.

Three men in black suits stood in front of the server.

Upon hearing the door open, all three turned around simultaneously.

Han Yingying raised her pistol, aiming the muzzle at the man in the middle between the eyebrows.

"Li Changsheng sent me," Han Yingying said.

The three men paused for a moment. The man on the right reached behind his back.

Han Yingying pulled the trigger. The bullet struck the man's feet on the right, creating a crater in the concrete.

"Take your hand out," Han Yingying said.

The man on the right stopped what he was doing and raised his hand.

"Where's the data?" the man in the middle asked. He was looking at Han Yingying's gun.

"It's with me." Han Yingying patted her pocket. "Li Changsheng said you can offer a higher price."

The man in the middle sized up Han Yingying. "Who are you?"

"Just running errands," Han Yingying said. "Black Gold Security Group. Your in-game name is Black Gold Guild, right?"

The expressions on the three men's faces changed.

They didn't expect that a mere errand runner knew about things in the game.

This was exactly the effect Han Yingying wanted. She needed them to be suspicious, to buy her time, and to allow her to observe the environment.

There were only three people in the factory. No heavy weapons. The server was connected to thick cables leading underground.

"How much do you want to sell it for?" the man in the middle asked.

"Ten million," Han Yingying announced.

The man laughed. "You have quite the appetite. Do you even know where you are?"

"I know. Your rendezvous point," Han Yingying said.

The man took a step forward. "Hand over the stuff. I'll let you leave alive."

Han Yingying fired the gun.

The bullet hit the man's right knee.

The man screamed and knelt on the ground.

The other two men drew their guns.

Han Yingying rolled to the side and hid behind a server.

A gunshot rang out. The bullet struck the server's metal casing. Sparks flew.

Han Yingying peeked out from the other side of the server. She fired two shots.

The man on the left was shot in the chest. He fell to the ground.

The man on the right is hiding behind a pillar.

Han Yingying changed the magazine.

"Don't shoot. Let's talk this out," the man behind the pillar shouted.

Han Yingying ignored him. She looked at the cables on the ground.

She walked to the cable, pulled out her dagger, and cut through the insulation, revealing the copper wires inside.

She plunged the dagger into the copper wire. Short circuit.

Sparks flew out. All the server indicator lights went out.

The factory floor darkened.

The man behind the pillar rushed out, holding a pistol.

Han Yingying raised her gun and pulled the trigger.

The bullet struck the man's wrist. The pistol fell to the ground.

Han Yingying walked over and kicked the gun off the ground.

She looked at the man kneeling on the ground, clutching his knees.

"What's underground?" Han Yingying asked.

The man gritted his teeth and remained silent.

Han Yingying pressed the gun barrel against the man's left knee.

"A reaction vessel," the man said, his voice trembling. "A reaction vessel in reality."

Han Yingying put away her gun.

She found the stairs leading underground. She went down.

The staircase is long. Concrete steps.

Below was a heavy iron door. It wasn't locked.

Han Yingying pushed open the door.

The basement is larger than the factory building above.

In the middle was a huge pool. The pool was filled with black liquid.

The liquid was churning. It emitted a pungent chemical smell.

Several heavy cranes are suspended above the pool.

This is the real-world reactor. A breeding ground for those black-scaled monsters.

A man was standing next to the pool.

The man was wearing camouflage clothing. He was over 1.9 meters tall. His muscles stretched the clothing very tight.

He looked at Han Yingying.

"You've taken care of those guys upstairs," the man asked. His voice was gruff.

"It's solved," Han Yingying said.

The man turned around. He was holding a military machete in his hand.

"I'm the head of security at Black Gold. You can call me Titan," the man said.

Han Yingying didn't speak. She raised her pistol and fired.

The bullet struck Titan in the chest.

Titan didn't fall. He tore open his camouflage uniform.

Inside was a layer of black scales, just like the monsters in the game.

He was also a cyborg.

"Regular bullets are useless against me," Titan said.

He strode forward and rushed towards Han Yingying. He was very fast.

Han Yingying stepped back. She ran out of bullets. She smashed her pistol at Titan's face.

Titan dodged to the side. The machete came slashing horizontally.

Han Yingying lowered her head. The blade swept past the top of her head, severing a few strands of hair.

She drew her dagger and stabbed at Titan's armpit.

*Clang.* The tip of the knife touched the scales. It slid away.

Titan gripped Han Yingying's shoulder with his left hand. His strength was immense.

Han Yingying felt like her shoulder bones were about to break.

She raised her right knee and pressed it against Titan's groin.

Titan grunted. He released his grip.

Han Yingying stepped back, creating some distance.

She observed the Titan. Its entire body was covered in scales. Only its eyes and mouth were visible.

A direct assault won't work. You have to use your brain.

Han Yingying saw the control panel of the crane next to the pool.

She ran toward the control panel.

Titan was chasing after them.

Han Yingying ran to the control panel and pressed the red start button.

The crane hook was lowered, and a huge iron shipping container was hanging from it.

The container is parked above the pool.

Titan charged forward. His machete slashed towards Han Yingying's neck.

Han Yingying dodged to the side. She then pulled a lever on the control panel.

The bottom door of the container is opened.

Hundreds of kilograms of quicklime were poured down, all of it hitting Titan.

When quicklime came into contact with the sweat on Titan's body and the moisture in the air, it began to heat up.

Titan screamed in agony. He dropped his machete and frantically clawed at his body.

Han Yingying didn't stop. She ran to the edge of the pool.

Dozens of blue plastic buckets were piled up next to the pool. They were marked with signs indicating that the chemicals were hazardous.

She kicked over several buckets. A clear liquid flowed out and into the pool.

This is a highly concentrated strong acid.

The black liquid in the pool began to react violently, billowing thick smoke.

Titan was still struggling in the quicklime. The intense heat had destroyed his eyesight.

Han Yingying walked up to him and picked up the machete from the ground.

She gripped the knife with both hands, aimed it at the Titan's open mouth, and thrust it in forcefully.

The blade pierced the upper jaw and penetrated the brain.

Titan stopped struggling. He collapsed to the ground.

The smoke in the basement grew thicker and thicker. The pungent smell made it hard to breathe.

She ran up the stairs, through the factory buildings, and over the wall.

Back in the SUV.

Han Yingying started the car and drove out of the woods.

She took out her phone and dialed the police.

"Southern Industrial Zone. Abandoned textile factory. Leakage has occurred at an illegal chemical plant."

She hung up the phone. She tossed her phone onto the passenger seat.

The data on the USB drive is only part of the story. Changsheng Bio and Black Gold Security were merely the executors.

The real mastermind is still hiding.

She needs to go back into the game and reunite with Zhou Lang.

Only by piecing together the clues from the game and reality can we find the truth.

Han Yingying stepped on the gas. The SUV accelerated on the highway.
