I walked up to the tenth floor. I pushed open the fire door in the stairwell.

The tenth floor is the office area. At the end of the corridor, there is a room with a light on. The sign on the door reads: Central Control Room.

Han Yingying walked over. The door was ajar. She could hear the sound of a television playing inside, along with the sound of chewing.

She turned to the side and peered through the crack in the door.

There were two security guards in the monitoring room, wearing the same uniforms as her. The guard on the left sat in a swivel chair, looking at dozens of monitor screens in front of him. The guard on the right sat at a table, eating a box of fried rice. Two cans of beer were next to him.

Han Yingying pushed open the door and went inside.

"Old Li, why did you take so long to go to the restroom?" The security guard eating fried rice didn't look up. "Hurry up and eat. The rice's getting cold."

The security guard watching the screen turned around. He saw Han Yingying. The face under the hat brim was unfamiliar. It was a woman.

He reached for the walkie-talkie at his waist.

Han Yingying raised her right hand. The Glock pistol was held horizontally.

Pfft. Pfft.

The silenced pistol emitted two muffled sounds.

Two bullets struck the right thighs of the two security guards with precision.

Blood splattered on the monitor screen and the fried rice container.

The two security guards screamed and fell to the ground, writhing on the floor, clutching their bleeding thighs.

Han Yingying walked over and kicked away their walkie-talkie and baton that had fallen to the ground.

She pulled over a swivel chair, sat down, and looked at the wall full of surveillance screens.

The images from the first to the thirtieth floors of the building are displayed. Only the images from the third basement level are black, showing "no signal."

"Where is Li Changsheng?" Han Yingying asked, looking at the two security guards on the ground.

"Who the hell are you?" the security guard on the left gritted his teeth, his forehead covered in cold sweat.

Han Yingying pointed the gun at his left leg.

puff.

Another shot. The bullet pierced the calf and hit the floor.

The security guard let out a bloodcurdling scream, like a pig being slaughtered.

"The third basement level." The security guard on the right collapsed. He clutched his head in his hands. "The chairman is in the laboratory on the third basement level. Don't kill me. I don't know anything."

Han Yingying stood up, walked to the control panel, and typed a few keys, shutting down all the surveillance cameras inside the building. The screens turned completely static.

She turned and left the monitoring room.

Walk to the elevator. Press the down button.

The elevator doors opened. She stepped inside, swiped the access card she'd just taken from the security guard, and pressed the button for the third basement level.

The red light on the third basement floor button on the elevator panel indicates insufficient permissions.

Han Yingying pressed the button for the basement level. The elevator began to descend.

The basement level is an underground parking garage.

The elevator doors opened. Dozens of luxury cars were parked in the parking lot. The lighting was dim.

Han Yingying stepped out of the elevator. Following the signs on the wall, she found the entrance to the third basement level.

It was a heavy, silver-gray blast door. Two tall figures stood in front of it.

Han Yingying hid behind a Mercedes-Benz G-Class, peeking out to observe.

Those weren't ordinary security guards. They were two people wearing black exoskeletons. The armor covered their torsos and limbs. Battery packs were mounted on their backs. Hydraulic pipes and thick cables were exposed at the mechanical joints. A small-caliber rotary machine gun was mounted on their right arm.

This is very similar to the mechs in the transit station, only smaller in size. It's suitable for combat in confined spaces.

Project Descent. They have brought the weaponry technology from the transit station into the real world.

Han Yingying glanced at the Glock pistol in her hand. 9mm bullets couldn't penetrate this level of bulletproof armor.

She put the pistol back in its holster and drew the tactical knife from her calf.

He took off his oversized security guard jacket, revealing a tight-fitting black tracksuit underneath.

She crumpled her coat into a ball and threw it forcefully into the open space to her left.

The armored figure on the left turned its head. Infrared sensors locked onto the jacket flying in mid-air. The machine gun on its right arm opened fire instantly.

Da da da da.

Flames spewed out. The coat was ripped to shreds in mid-air and fell in a flurry.

Using the noise of the machine gun fire as cover, Han Yingying rushed out from the right side of the Mercedes.

Her speed exploded to its limit, like a black cheetah.

The armored man on the right spotted her. He raised his arm, ready to aim.

Han Yingying lowered her body and executed a long slide tackle, sliding directly between the armored man's spread legs.

As she glided, she swung her dagger upwards, precisely slicing into the joint gap behind the armored man's knee and severing the hydraulic lines there.

High-pressure liquid was ejected and spilled on the ground.

The armored man's right leg lost power. He collapsed to his knees. The heavy armor shattered the floor tiles.

Han Yingying used the momentum from the slide to stand up. She pushed off the ground with both feet and jumped onto the back of the armored man.

He gripped the edge of the armored man's helmet with his left hand. His right hand held a dagger. He forcefully stabbed it into the joint between the helmet and the neck armor.

The blade pierced through the skin, flesh, and trachea.

The armored man flailed his arms wildly. He struggled a few times, then stopped moving.

The armored man on the left had already turned his gun and locked onto Han Yingying.

Han Yingying drew her dagger. With a powerful leap, she jumped off the back of the dead armored mannequin, rolling repeatedly on the ground until she hid behind a Range Rover.

Machine gun bullets swept across the Land Rover. The windows shattered. The body was riddled with bullet holes. The burglar alarm went off in a frenzy.

Han Yingying leaned against the wheel, touching her left calf. She had been cut by shards of glass on the ground while sliding. Blood flowed out, staining the black fabric red.

She ignored the wound and drew her Glock pistol.

I glanced at the undercarriage of the Land Rover. The fuel tank is located on the left rear.

She fired two shots at the fuel tank.

Gasoline leaked out. It flowed onto the ground and spread.

Heavy footsteps approached. The remaining armored man was circling around the front of the vehicle.

Han Yingying took a windproof lighter out of her pocket, lit it, and threw it onto the gasoline.

With a loud bang, flames shot two meters high, engulfing the rear of the Land Rover.

The armored figure didn't stop. It walked straight through the flames. The fire-resistant coating on the armor protected it from the intense heat.

However, the high temperature interfered with the armor's infrared detectors. A blinding red light appeared on the helmet screen, obstructing visibility.

Han Yingying was waiting for this one second of blind spot.

She leaped from the back of the vehicle, gripping the dagger with both hands. Using the force of her fall, she plunged the dagger deep into the cooling vent at the back of the armored man's neck.

The tip of the knife touched the circuit board inside. She stirred it forcefully.

Sparks shot from the ventilation holes. A crackling sound of short circuits emanated from inside the armored man. The mechanical joints locked. He froze in place like an iron tower.

Han Yingying pulled out the dagger. She shook off the machine oil from the blade.

We walked up to the blast door.

The access control panel has fingerprint and retinal scanners.

She walked to the first armored man who had died. With both hands, she forcefully ripped off his helmet, revealing a bloodless face.

She dragged the corpse by the collar and pulled it to the gate.

Grab the corpse's right hand and press it onto the fingerprint scanner. Then pry open the corpse's eyelids and align it with the retinal scanner.

drop.

The green light came on. The explosion-proof door emitted a heavy mechanical creak as it slowly slid open to both sides.
