Su Weile frowned and said, "Dad, when I saw him in the hospital, in so much pain, yet still so strong, I kept thinking of my mom, and my heart ached so much."

Su Jun patted his son's hand and said, "Good son, you're just too kind-hearted. But don't be too sad. After all, he just has headaches, unlike your mother, who had brain cancer. It's incurable."

Su Weile sensed his father's noticeably lowered tone. He knew how deep his father's feelings for his mother were; otherwise, he wouldn't have remained single for so many years without remarrying.

Su Jun adjusted his tone and said, "Okay, go if you want to, but since you just met them, don't bother them too much. Be mindful of your boundaries. Come back early when you're done. Oh, and when you go to Jinhai, visit your uncle more often. Spend more time with him."

Su Weile smiled and said, "I understand, Dad. Don't worry."

Seeing her father's less-than-ideal mood, Su Weile regretted bringing up her mother's situation. After a moment's thought, she said, "Dad, why don't you come with us to the reservoir? It's so much fun! There's also a farm stay, and a bonfire at night."

Su Jun laughed and said, "I'm not going. Who wants to mess around with you kids? Take me to your grandpa's. I'm going to have a drink with the old man."

This wasn't Su Weile's first time visiting the reservoir, so they were very well prepared.

When they arrived, there were already two groups of people at the campsite, perhaps because it was the weekend.

Since they were all young people, they weren't very familiar with each other at first, but after a while, they started chatting. By the time of the bonfire party that evening, they had all become close friends.

There was a girl named Mengmeng in the group who showed great affection for Su Weile. This was quickly noticed by everyone, and they kept teasing her about it. Su Weile didn't mind; she was just joking around. After a couple of days, everyone would forget about it.

Tang Shaowu sent Su Weile a text message to let her know he was safe after arriving in Jinhai during the day. They exchanged a few words and agreed to talk again that evening. Tang Shaowu seemed quite busy; the phone could be heard with many people coming and going.

It was past 11 p.m. when Tang Shaowu sent a video call request. Su Weile quickly got up, found a relatively quiet place, and accepted the request.

Tang Shaowu smiled faintly. "Still playing outside?"

Su Weile laughed and said, "Yeah, we're having a bonfire party right now. You wouldn't stay another day, so I brought you here to join in the fun, so you won't feel so cold all day."

"I just need you to heat it up for me, I don't need anyone else."

Before Su Weile could even speak, Tie Tou ran over from a distance. "Xiao Le, what are you doing? Why are you hiding here? Hurry up, Meng Meng, the beautiful lady, is looking for you over there. So, are you interested in her? I think she's really going all in; she's determined to win you over. Are you going to give in to her?"

Su Weile laughed and said, "Get lost! If you want it, go after him! Stop making fun of me."

Tie Tou grinned slyly. "Seriously, the girl's pretty. If you like her, give it a try. Hey? Can you come over here? It's so tiring talking to you. Come back with me and keep playing around. What are you trying to be so serious about, staying away from everyone here?"

Su Weile laughed and said, "Okay, okay, you go ahead, I'm going to make a call now."

Tie Tou muttered, "Why do you call every night in the middle of the night? Are you some kind of radio confidante?"

After finally getting rid of Tie Tou, Su Weile said to the camera, "I forgot to mention that you distracted me today, so I forgot to tell you that you need to go to the hospital tomorrow, understand? Also, don't just bear the headache on your own, take your medicine properly and cooperate with the doctor."

Tang Shaowu, seemingly unrelated to the question, replied, "I've already got suitors since I got there. Are they pretty? Do you like them?"

"Like it my foot! They didn't even look closely. It was just everyone joking around. Did you remember what I just said?"

"I can't remember. Even if I remember something that wasn't said to my face, I won't do it."

"Tang Shaowu, you bastard, I hope it hurts you to death."

Tang Shaowu looked at him with a faint smile. "Su Weile, don't pay attention to others. You're such a fool."

"You're the fool! You're sick and don't go to the hospital. Who's the fool here?"

The two looked at each other through their phone screens and suddenly burst out laughing.

Tang Shaowu's smile was a rare moment of relaxation. "If you've had enough fun, hurry back to Jinhai. Aren't you my best friend? You can't just think about having fun on your own."

Su Weile smiled and said, "I know, didn't we agree? I'll be there on time, I won't skip it, and you can't ask me to come early."

The voice calling Su Weile came from afar again. Tang Shaowu heard it on the other end of the phone.

"Go ahead, everyone's calling you. Go have fun, but be careful."

Su Weile smiled and said, "Alright then, you should get some rest, okay? Play some music to help you sleep."

Tang Shaowu smiled and said, "Only you can help me sleep."

After saying that, he hung up the video call before Su Weile could react.

Su Weile stared blankly at her phone screen for a moment, then suddenly lost interest in the distant bonfire party, her earlier excitement gone.

He felt as if he had done something terribly wrong to Tang Shaowu, and that he was enjoying himself while leaving Tang Shaowu aside.

Everyone had a blast at the reservoir for three days and two nights. When they returned to Yanshan, they were all exhausted, mainly from lack of sleep. Su Weile went back to her apartment in the city and had a good night's sleep. When she opened her eyes again, it was already completely dark.

He picked up his phone and saw that Tang Shaowu had messaged him two hours earlier, asking, "Are you home yet?"

"We arrived a while ago. I was asleep and just woke up."

Tang Shaowu's video arrived immediately. Su Weile was in the bathroom. She hurriedly pulled up her pants and came out, clicking "accept."

"Young Master Tang, you've come at just the right time. I just went into the bathroom, and I was in a real hurry."

Tang Shaowu laughed and said, "Didn't you finish? Are you feeling unwell?"

Su Weile blushed slightly when asked this question. "It feels great, very comfortable."

Tang Shaowu noticed Su Weile's awkward expression and chuckled softly, "Where are you? Isn't this the place I went to last time?"

Su Weile looked for the ice cream she had bought last time in the refrigerator and replied, "Yes, this is my home in the city. I stay here most of the time unless I go to Grandma's. Come again when you have time, and I'll show you around."

Tang Shaowu smiled and nodded, then leaned back in his office chair. Su Weile, seeing Tang Shaowu's familiar appearance, felt a pang of unease. "Tang Shaowu? You have a headache? Didn't you say you went to the hospital recently?"

Tang Shaowu said with a faint smile, "Yeah, I have a bit of a headache. I went to the hospital, but I'm not tolerating this new drug, and my headache is getting worse."

Su Weile's heart skipped a beat.
