After saying what she wanted to say, Su Weile hung up the phone.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class made a U-turn and sped towards Jinhai General Hospital. Forget about finding a hotel; Su Weile planned to retrieve his luggage from Tang Shaowu and head home. He was going back to his Yanshan. A carefree and happy life awaited him; why should he suffer here?

Returning to the familiar hospital and seeing the familiar men in black, Su Weile didn't say hello this time. She wasn't in the mood.

He looked out of the ward and saw that there was only a small night light on inside, which meant that Tang Shaowu should already be asleep.

Su Weile couldn't tell whether he felt relieved or disappointed. He was both afraid of the awkwardness of meeting her again, but he also felt it was a pity that she left without even saying goodbye.

Gently pushing open the door, Su Weile crept into the suite inside the ward like a thief, searching for his luggage that he had left there that morning. If it weren't for the limited-edition clothes he liked inside, he wouldn't have had to act like a thief to retrieve his belongings.

As soon as she stepped into the room, Su Weile, still not quite adjusted to the darkness, could barely make out her large, silver-white suitcase. Before she could even walk over, she was startled by a figure that suddenly moved beside her suitcase.

"Holy crap, who is it?" The fear in his voice was impossible to hide.

A sneer rang out, "So, people who have done something wrong are really cowardly."

Su Weile recognized Tang Shaowu's voice. After spending these past few days together, he recognized Tang Shaowu's pleasant voice.

"You're standing by the window in all black, not sleeping in the middle of the night. Who wouldn't be scared?"

Tang Shaowu never wore a hospital gown when he was hospitalized; he usually wore his own pajamas, which were mostly black.

Just as Su Weile finished complaining, she suddenly realized what Tang Shaowu had said and retorted loudly, "Besides, who are you calling a guilty party?"

Tang Shaowu remained standing in the darkness. "You sneak over here in the middle of the night, aren't you just planning to do something wrong?"

Su Weile was furious. "Don't accuse me of something wrong. I'm here to retrieve my own luggage, not to steal your things."

As she gradually adapted to the darkness, Su Weile could vaguely see the faint smile on Tang Shaowu's face. "Yes, he came to collect his luggage and then prepared to flee in fear of punishment."

"Tang Shaowu, how could I have fled to avoid punishment!" Su Weile said through gritted teeth in anger.

"You impulsively beat me up and landed me in the hospital. I haven't even recovered yet, and you're already trying to sneak away? Isn't that like fleeing from justice?"

Su Weile was angry all day that Tang Shaowu knew the whole story but deliberately set up a trap to make him look bad. Yet he had completely forgotten that Tang Shaowu had beaten someone into the hospital.

Su Weile, who has always been reasonable since childhood, felt that she was in the wrong. "Then...then I'll find you a caregiver."

Tang Shaowu looked coldly at Su Weile and said, "Do I need you to find me a caregiver? Can't I find one myself?"

Su Weile frowned and said, "I'll give you money to compensate you."

Tang Shaowu walked to the luggage, and then surprisingly sat down on the suitcase. "I remember we reached a consensus on how to handle this matter before. Or maybe I'm out of my mind and I'm remembering wrong?"

Su Weile couldn't stand his words. "Yes, yes, yes. I said before that I would take care of you until you recovered and were discharged from the hospital."

"Oh~~~~~ So it's not that I'm mentally ill and can't remember, but that you went back on your word and didn't keep your promise."

Su Weile rubbed her forehead in frustration. "Didn't we have a fight? Aren't you afraid of feeling awkward after a fight?"

"I don't think we had a fight. I just wanted to teach you a lesson about the wickedness of people, but instead of listening to you, you unilaterally started to insult me."

Su Weile was so angry she wanted to punch someone again. "Fine, I'll pretend I'm stupid. I don't know people are unpredictable, so what? Are you my father? Is it your business to worry about educating me?"

Tang Shaowu looked at the panting Su Weile. Knowing how to manipulate people, he could easily control her. "Although I'm not qualified to be your father, I considered us friends already?"

With just those words, Su Weile's anger subsided considerably. After calming down for half a minute, he said, "I wouldn't dare presume to be your friend, how could I be so foolish?!"

Tang Shaowu said sincerely, "I shouldn't have called you stupid. A child's self-esteem should be protected. I apologize."

Hearing Tang Shaowu say that, Su Weile was even more speechless. She muttered...

"Aren't you afraid I might lose control and beat you up again if you let me continue taking care of you?"

Tang Shaowu knew he had successfully calmed the impulsive little leopard. "Then please go easy on me, my friend. After all, I'm really not very resistant to beatings."

Su Weile felt the anger that had been festering in his heart dissipate, and he felt incredibly relieved. He walked lightly to Tang Shaowu's side and said, "Get up. My suitcase is very expensive and so big. What if you sit on it and ruin my clothes?"

Tang Shaowu smiled and said, "Help me up, I'm a little dizzy."

"Huh?" Su Weile was startled and quickly helped Tang Shaowu up. The moment his hand touched Tang Shaowu's wrist, he was shocked by the burning temperature. "Why is it so hot? Do you know you have a fever?"

Tang Shaowu didn't say anything, but walked to another ward and lay down. Su Weile muttered behind him, "Isn't he thirty? He has a fever and doesn't even know to see a doctor. He just stands there like an idiot. Will standing down bring down the fever??? He's so tall and strong, who would have thought he's so fragile~"

Su Weile complained, but her hands were busy. She helped Tang Shaowu put the bed down, took away the computer and documents from the bedside table, and covered him with the blanket.

"Let me take your temperature first, and then I'll call the nurse over."

Tang Shaowu was indeed feeling a bit dizzy from the fever. He frowned and said, "Su Weile, you're so noisy."

Su Weile didn't have time to pay attention to him. Looking at the thermometer in her hand, she wondered if she was seeing things. "Damn, forty degrees? You'll probably burn yourself up in a minute. I don't think I need to call a nurse for you. I'll just call the fire department."

Su Weile immediately pressed the call button. The nurse arrived quickly and was also shocked when she saw the thermometer. She couldn't help but complain, "A patient like him can't be left alone. What's wrong with your family? What's the use of having bodyguards at the door? There should be a caregiver inside. This is so dangerous! You're practically playing with his life."

Su Weile let the nurse scold her, her face flushed, feeling very annoyed. She realized she had been too unreliable. She had promised to take care of the nurse, but then she got angry and disappeared. How could she do that? It was outrageous.

The nurse gave Tang Shaowu an injection to reduce his fever. Whether it had a calming effect or was simply because fever is exhausting, Tang Shaowu slept soundly that night, which was unusually peaceful.

Su Weile didn't sleep a wink all night. He was afraid that taking his temperature would disturb Tang Shaowu's sleep, so he kept touching his forehead with his hand to check the temperature. Fortunately, the fever didn't return that night.

When Tang Shaowu opened his eyes in the morning, the first thing he saw was Su Weile, who was smiling brightly. Su Weile said in a roguish tone...

"Hello, my energetic friend~~"
