We agreed it was just a hug, why did you actually do it?

Chapter 18 The puppy is really addicted!

Suddenly, Tang Shaowu reached out and switched on the light, revealing an unusually pale face to Su Weile. The paleness of his complexion and lips softened the ruthlessness and untamed spirit in his eyes, allowing Su Weile to relax somewhat.

Tang Shaowu looked at Su Weile quietly, his breathing steady. But Su Weile easily saw the throbbing veins beside his temples, his bloodless face, and his hair soaked with sweat.

Su Weile frowned deeply, went to Tang Shaowu's side, took the painkillers from the table, poured a glass of water and handed it to him. "Take the painkillers, then lie down, I'll massage you. Try to make sure the medicine is absorbed. If you don't feel so much pain that you vomit, we've won."

Tang Shaowu didn't speak or laugh, he just looked at him. Su Weile said a little angrily, "Come on, I said it's possible, I promise I won't make you vomit up from the pain."

After a full minute, Tang Shaowu finally reached out and took the medicine. He swallowed it directly without water, seemingly already used to this way of taking medicine.

Su Weile didn't insist and went straight to the bathroom to wash his hands. Then he took three towels, one cold and two hot. He put all the towels in plastic bags.

Back at the bedside, he placed two very hot towels in Tang Shaowu's hands, letting him hold them gently. Then he had Tang Shaowu lean his head back against the pillows and placed the cool towels on his forehead.

After finishing these steps, Su Weile began to slowly massage Tang Shaowu. She started at his temples, moving to the acupoints around his eyes, and then to the acupoints on the back of his head. After about twenty minutes, Su Weile clearly felt that Tang Shaowu's muscles were not as tense as before. Su Weile's whole body relaxed as well.

During this time, neither of them said a word. They remained silent, and it all felt very natural.

Half an hour passed, and Su Weile finally breathed a sigh of relief. The painkillers Tang Shaowu took were enteric-coated tablets that were absorbed very quickly; they should have been absorbed long ago in half an hour. Moreover, judging from Tang Shaowu's condition, he shouldn't be vomiting.

Su Weile removed the slightly warm towel. She was just about to stretch her aching back when Tang Shaowu finally spoke, "Where did you go this afternoon?"

Su Weile answered truthfully, "I went to my uncle's house."

"Has it been there all along?"

"Yeah, what else?"

Tang Shaowu opened his eyes, looked at Su Weile, and said, "Are you angry with me for talking to me like that?"

Su Weile looked directly at Tang Shaowu. "Yeah, what else?"

Tang Shaowu's lips curled up slightly. "Why? Because I didn't let you beat up Xue Bing? Or because I haven't found out who got Jin Jiajia pregnant yet?"

Tang Shaowu's words made Su Weile feel very uncomfortable. But before Su Weile could retort, Tang Shaowu immediately said, "I asked Xue Bing today, and he told me who that person is?"

Su Weile immediately exclaimed in surprise, "Really? Tell me quickly, who is it?"

Tang Shaowu, still smiling, said, "Don't rush, I'm waiting for evidence. Tell me first, what are you planning to do? Go beat him up again?"

Su Weile was also stunned: that was really what he was thinking—to beat him up first, then take him to Jiajia and make him kneel down and admit his mistake. Then he would let Jiajia do whatever she wanted with him.

Seeing Su Weile's expression, Tang Shaowu guessed what he was thinking. Tang Shaowu's voice was very calm, "Even if you know who he is, he might not admit it. This kind of thing happened so long ago, they even have a child, and no one went to the police. Does it really make sense to say that Jin Jiajia was bullied?"

Su Weile was annoyed. "How can you say that? So what if Jiajia didn't call the police? She's a girl, of course she'd be scared, and it's only natural that she'd choose to keep quiet. Besides, no matter what, if you're with a girl, you have to take responsibility."

Tang Shaowu looked at Su Weile, "How do you want that man to take responsibility?"

Su Weile said without hesitation, "We'll leave the specifics of how to handle things to Jiajia. My job is just to find this bastard and then beat him up first."

Tang Shaowu asked with a seemingly casual smile, "You like Jin Jiajia that much? What is she to you? A perfect goddess? Your innocent first love?"

Su Weile's face turned a little red. "What? No, she's not. She's my little sister whom I grew up with."

Tang Shaowu chuckled. "Su Weile, I wasn't joking before. You don't really match your image. You seem quite smart."

Su Weile's face flushed even redder with anger. "Tang Shaowu, what do you mean? Are you indirectly calling me stupid again?"

Tang Shaowu: "I didn't beat around the bush, I just said it straight, didn't I? I've just never seen anyone as silly as you before, it's quite a novelty. You're probably still too young, a young fool."

Su Weile was about to explode. "Tang Shaowu, don't go too far. Just because you're older than me, you think you can bully me? I'm letting you have your way because you're a patient. Otherwise, let me tell you, if you mess with me, I'll beat you up just like last time."

Tang Shaowu wasn't angry at all; in fact, his smile seemed more genuine this time. "What? Are you addicted to taking care of me?"

Su Weile blurted out in anger, "The puppy is the one who's addicted!" But then she realized that the words sounded familiar. Suddenly, a phrase she'd just said echoed in her mind: "Next time I give him a massage, I'll be the puppy."

Su Weile: "Damn it~~~ I'm so angry!"

The two argued for a while, but the awkwardness and anger from before disappeared. Tang Shaowu's headache gradually subsided, and he was ready to start working again.

Su Weile was truly exasperated. He realized that Tang Shaowu was really treating him badly. He was the typical type who was ruthless to others but treated himself even worse.

Su Weile walked over to Tang Shaowu and slammed his laptop shut. "Can you please stop working? Don't you have anyone else at your company? Do you have to work all night? And while you're sick?"

Su Weile simply took the computer away, then stretched out her hands and said, "Let me tell you, Young Master Tang, who is more than ten years older than me, I'm giving you a massage today. My fingers are very sore now. If you get a headache from exhaustion later, I won't massage you anymore."

So, lie down right now and go to sleep.

Tang Shaowu leaned back gently against the pillows, his posture very relaxed. "I can't sleep."

In fact, Tang Shaowu really couldn't sleep. He didn't need much sleep to begin with, and he was never used to having other people around him when he was asleep.

Su Weile was completely unaware of the situation. "Can't sleep? What should we do? Let's play something? Play games? No, you're not suited to looking at electronic devices for long periods right now."

Su Weile scratched her hair. "Let's play cards. Oh no, I didn't bring any cards."

After thinking for a while, Su Weile still couldn't think of anything to play, so she simply lay down on the sofa. "Hey, Young Master Tang, do you usually play poker? What do you usually play?"

Tang Shaowu shook his head expressionlessly.

Su Weile exclaimed in surprise, "You never play? My goodness, there really is a generation gap. Young Master Tang, how can you be so bored? Aren't you tired of it every day?"
