Yun Jin looked closely and realized that she recognized the man. He was about twenty years old and named Shi Yan. He was one of the eight people that Shi Yong had found.

She had seen him once in the courtyard that day. He was taciturn and stood in the corner, not saying much, but his eyes were exceptionally bright.

When Shi Yan saw her looking over, he looked around, wanted to come over, but didn't dare to rush forward.

Yun Jin waved to him and pointed in the direction of the side door.

Shi Yan understood, nodded, and turned to go towards the side door.

Yun Jin turned around and whispered to Chunxi beside her, "Go and see what's wrong with him. If you're unsure, bring him to see me again."

Chunxi responded and left.

Yun Jin pulled her cloak tighter and hurried back to Jinshu Pavilion.

The maids had already cleaned the room, and the heat emanating from the fireplace evenly warmed the entire room, making it feel like a completely different world from the cold outside.

Yun Jin took off her outer garment, leaned back on the couch, and let out a long sigh.

She absolutely could not accept the thought of suffering from cold and hunger after transmigrating.

Soon, Chunxi returned, followed by Shiyan.

Chunxi walked up to Yunjin and said in a low voice, "Miss, Shiyan said he has something to report to me. I was unsure what to do, so I brought him along."

Yun Jin sat up straight and said towards the door, "Come in."

Shi Yan stepped in, gave a proper bow, and kept his eyes fixed on the ground. "Miss, that courtyard... the people from the Left Patrol Police Academy left yesterday, saying it was all a misunderstanding." He paused, then couldn't help but look up at Yun Jin, his tone filled with admiration, "Miss is truly amazing."

Yun Jin didn't reply, but calmly asked, "What do you want from me?"

Shi Yan then remembered the important matter and hurriedly said, "Shi Yong said he has something to report to Miss in person, but he can't leave, so he asked me to invite Miss over."

Yun Jin frowned slightly: "Can't leave? How could you not leave?" A sense of unease crept into her heart, and she demanded, "Tell the truth!"

Shi Yan lowered his head, hesitated for a moment, and then said, "Shi Yong is injured."

Yun Jin's heart tightened: "How did you get injured?"

Shi Yan shook his head: "I don't know. He only said that he had something important to tell Miss, and didn't say anything else."

Yun Jin was silent for a moment, then thought for a moment and said, "I understand. You go back first, I'll go over later."

Shi Yan responded and left.

After Yun Jin left, she turned and went to Qingshui Garden.

Chu Wanqing was sitting on the heated kang bed in the main room, a smile on her face.

Seeing Yun Jin enter, she took Yun Jin's hand and touched the fire wall, her tone filled with joy: "Jin'er, this thing is so warm. We don't even need a brazier."

Yun Jin smiled, sat down beside her, chatted with her for a few moments, and then handed her a small porcelain bottle: "Mother, these are pills I made for Lang'er. You can give them to him later. They're more convenient than decocted medicine, and the effect is just as good."

Chu Wanqing took the porcelain bottle and glanced at Yun Jin: "Why didn't you deliver it yourself?"

Yun Jin thought for a moment and said, "A friend of mine is injured, and I want to go see him."

Chu Wanqing didn't ask any further questions, only instructing, "Go early and come back early, don't linger outside too long. It's cold outside, wear more clothes."

Yun Jin responded and got up to return to Jinshu Pavilion.

She changed into a dark-colored outfit and put on a thick cloak before heading out.

Chunxi followed, carrying a lantern in her hand: "Miss, I'll go with you."

Dongxue followed behind and said, "Miss, I can drive. Let me go with you."

Yun Jin thought for a moment. Prince Yu also knew that courtyard, and Dong Xue was someone he had sent, so it wouldn't hurt to bring her along. She nodded: "Let them all come."

The three of them left the mansion through the side gate and boarded the carriage.

Dongxue sat on the carriage shaft, cracked the whip, and the carriage steadily drove into the night.

The carriage stopped at the entrance of a quiet alley in the south of the city.

Yun Jin got out of the car and quickly walked into the narrow alley with Chun happy and Dong Xue.

Chunxi stepped forward and knocked on the door. Shiyan opened the door and, seeing them arrive, quickly whispered, "Miss, Shiyong is inside."

Yun Jin walked into the courtyard first and headed towards the house where Shi Yong and the others were staying.

Pushing open the door, I saw Shi Yong lying on the bed, his face pale, with a strip of cloth wrapped around his forehead, and a dark red stain seeping through the cloth.

Zhao Tiezhu was squatting by the bed, wringing out a hot towel. When he saw Yun Jin come in, he quickly got up and made way for her.

"Miss..." Shi Yong struggled to get up, but Yun Jin quickly stepped forward and pressed down on his shoulder: "Don't move."

She removed the cloth strip from his forehead. The wound wasn't deep, but it had bled quite a bit, with the skin and flesh turned inside out, making it look rather frightening.

She then examined his arm and body and found a knife wound on his arm, which had been hastily bandaged with strips of cloth torn from his clothes. The blood had dried and was stuck to his skin.

"Who wrapped it?" Yun Jin frowned.

Zhao Tiezhu scratched his head and said awkwardly, "It was my order..."

Yun Jin sighed, took out the medicine she carried with her from her sleeve, and asked Chunxi to fetch a basin of clean water.

Just as she was about to make a move, Dongxue stepped forward, her voice cold and clear: "Miss, let me do it."

She took the medicine bottle from Yun Jin's hand, skillfully untied the messy strips of cloth on Shi Yong's arm, washed the wound with clean water, and carefully applied medicine and bandaged it.

The whole process was clean and efficient, far superior to Zhao Tiezhu's.

Yun Jin nodded inwardly as she watched Dong Xue's actions.

This person was indeed a former bodyguard; even treating wounds was more efficient than that of ordinary people.

After changing the dressing, Yun Jin asked Chunxi and Zhao Tiezhu to leave, leaving only her and Shi Yong in the room.

"Tell me, how did you get injured?" Yun Jin sat down by the bed and looked at Shi Yong.

Shi Yong leaned against the headboard, took a breath, and whispered, "Miss, Yunheting went to see Liu Zhixue this afternoon."

Yun Jin's heart skipped a beat: "What did they say?"

Shi Yong shook his head: "I didn't hear clearly. The two were talking inside the room, and her maid was guarding outside, so I couldn't get close. Yun Heting left in less than half an hour, and he didn't look well."

Yun Jin remained silent, waiting for him to continue.

Shi Yong continued, "After Yunheting left, Liu Zhixue went out. She was alone, wearing a veiled hat, and walked very fast. I followed her all the way and found that she went to a house in the south of the city."

He paused for a moment, then added, "The house is quite large, and there are guards at the gate."

Yun Jin frowned slightly: "There are people guarding it. Do you know who lives inside?"

Shi Yong shook his head: "I wanted to get closer to take a look, but as soon as I climbed over the wall, the people inside discovered me. Some of them chased after me, and I was hit a few times. When I was running over the wall, I was cut on the forehead by a piece of tile on the wall, and I was also slashed on the arm."

He paused, then gritted his teeth and said, "I circled around several times before I finally shook them off and got back here."

Yun Jin remained silent for a moment. What kind of place was the house that Liu Zhixue went to? Who lived there?

"Did they see your face?" Yun Jin asked, and fearing that Shi Yong would misunderstand, she quickly explained, "If they did, don't go out for the time being, and wait and see how things develop."

Shi Yong thought for a moment and shook his head: "Probably not. I was wearing a mask and running fast. They chased me for a while but couldn't find me, so they went back. I went around again to make sure no one was following me before I came back."

Yun Jin nodded, stood up, and paced around the room.

Shi Yong tentatively asked, "Miss, should we have someone investigate that house?"

Yun Jin shook her head: "No, I'm worried that you've already alerted them, and they probably won't find anything even if they go."

Although she was quite skilled and had the ability to use her spatial abilities, investigating the past of that house was not an easy task for her.

She suddenly looked towards the door, thought for a moment, and called out, "Dongxue."

Dongxue pushed open the door and bowed, saying, "Miss."

Yun Jin looked at her: "Do you have any connections to find out information?"

Without hesitation, Dongxue nodded and said, "Yes."

Yun Jin said to Shi Yong, "Tell Dong Xue what you know."

Shi Yong recounted the address and location of the house he visited that day.

After listening, Dongxue nodded expressionlessly: "What does Miss want to investigate?"

Yun Jin said, "I want to know who the owner of that house is, who lives there, who Liu Zhixue goes there to see, and whether she goes there often. It would be even better if I could know the purpose of her visits."

Dongxue nodded: "I understand, Miss. I'll go check right away." After saying that, she turned and left the house, disappearing into the night in the blink of an eye.
