The first child looked up at the little bear in the tree, roared anxiously, and then climbed the tree to try to bring the little bear down.

When it climbed two-thirds of the way up, the whole tree was shaking. The first panda was too big, and the trunk at the top was too thin for it to climb up. If it climbed any higher, it would break the branches, and both pandas would fall off.

The first-year student shouted anxiously, moving up and down, caught in a dilemma.

Lan Xiaoxiao had never seen it have such strong emotions before.

Lan Xiaoxiao wanted to go down, but when she looked down, she felt dizzy. How could it be so high!

The little bear clung tightly to the tree branch, too afraid to move.

The first day of the lunar month's call attracted Big Blue back.

Da Lan walked to the tree, looked up at Lan Xiao Xiao, and made a "baa" sound, as if calling her to come down.

Big Blue saw Chu Yi in the tree and bared its teeth to shoo him away.

Everything went completely out of control in an instant!

The little bear wouldn't come down; it was still reaching out to try and climb up. Big Blue got anxious when it saw the little bear trembling and clinging to the branch.

It stood up and climbed up the tree trunk, but the tree was too thin. When Big Blue's weight pressed down on it, the trunk shook violently, making a "crackling" sound, and it could break at any moment.

This tree can't support two giant pandas and a cub!

Lan Xiaoxiao felt her vision go black. Oh no, was she going to fall off the tree?

She had seen it online before: pandas in zoos often climb to the top of trees, break off branches, and fall solidly down, and it seems... nothing serious happens.

She should be alright after falling, right?

But she's just a little bear!

Suddenly the tree stopped swaying so much. Lan Xiaoxiao looked down and saw that Chu Yi had climbed down the tree, forcing Da Lan down as well.

Two giant pandas were under a tree. The blue panda bared its teeth wildly, and the giant panda swung its paw at it!

On the first day, a large patch of its fur was scratched off. It roared a few times, looked anxiously at the bear cub in the woods, and suddenly turned and ran away.

Big Blue didn't chase after it; it circled the tree anxiously, its nose constantly exhaling.

……

……

Chu Yi ran very fast, his round body crashing through the forest, breaking several bamboo stalks, but he didn't stop.

It ran down the stream, past its usual area, out of the territory's boundaries, and continued down the mountain.

Once you cross the valley, you can see green tents set up on the grassland in the distance; those are human camps.

The bear had smelled human scents before, and sometimes the bear cubs also smelled human scents, so those humans would come looking for the bear cubs.

After swimming across the river on the first day of the lunar month, without even having time to shake off its feathers, it rushed off to the tent camp.

Outside the tent, Xiao Zhang was sitting in a folding chair, basking in the sun, happily eating a bag of potato chips.

Then he caught a glimpse of something moving out of the corner of his eye, looked up, and was shocked!

A round, chubby panda rushed over and headed straight for the camp.

Xiao Zhang's potato chips fell on the ground.

"Professor Xu!!!" Xiao Zhang's voice cracked, "Panda!!! The panda is here!!!"

Everyone inside the tent rushed out.

Professor Xu, still holding a pen, froze when he saw the wet panda standing by the camp.

"Don't move! Don't move at all!" Professor Xu whispered. "Slowly back away, don't provoke it!"

Everyone slowly backed away.

The pandas didn't seem to intend to attack them.

It stood at the edge of the camp, watching the group of humans, panting, then turned around, took a few steps up the mountain, glanced back, and then walked back, "Baa~".

"Why does this seem like the first year of junior high?"

"I recognized it from the sound it was making, but I almost didn't recognize it because it was all wet."

The research team members recognized the panda.

But they still didn't dare to get close, after all, pandas are bears too, and Chu Yi is a completely wild bear.

Although it is gentle with its cubs, it may not be so gentle with humans.

After walking a few more steps, Chu Yi turned around and looked at them.

It bleated as if in a hurry, then shook its head and took a few steps.

Those movements, those glances—were they clearly leading the way?!

"Professor Xu..." Xiao Zhang's voice trembled, "Is it telling us to go with it?"

This is unbelievable!

Professor Xu stared at Chu Yi for a few seconds, then gritted his teeth: "Everyone, put on your gear. Something might have happened on the mountain. Follow it, keep your distance, and don't get close."

The research team members carried their equipment and followed Chu Yi.

Upon realizing that humans were following, Chu Yi immediately turned around and walked away quickly!

Chu Yi walked in front, his round body moving through the forest at a pace that was just right for humans to keep up.

It would look back every now and then to make sure the humans were still behind it, and then continue walking.

The more it seemed that way, the more certain Professor Xu became that his guess was correct.

"It's amazing, it's so smart, it actually asked humans for help."

"It's in such a hurry, what could have happened on the mountain? Could it be that Lan Xiao is in trouble?"

The expedition team members were all in a heavy mood, and each of them tried their best to keep up with the pace of the first-year students so as not to hold them back.

The direction this is leading is indeed into the territory of the Big Blue.

The bear led the people into the mountains, and after about an hour, they finally stopped.

Professor Xu and the others spotted Da Lan from afar.

It stood under a tree, looking up at the treetop, and made urgent calls.

When humans looked up, they saw a black and white glutinous rice ball clinging to the top of a tree, swaying gently in the wind.

"!!!"

Under the tree, Big Blue was still circling. When it saw humans coming, it alertly pricked up its ears, stood in front of the tree, and let out a low growl.

Xiao Zhang exclaimed, "How did Lan Xiao climb so high!"

The cub was trapped at the top of a tree; the trunk was too thin for an adult panda to climb.

Now I finally understand why Chu Yi came to find them.

But Big Blue is here and could attack them at any moment, so they dare not go over.

Professor Xu said, "Xiao Zhang, contact the zookeeper who kept Da Lan when he was a kitten and tell him to go up the mountain quickly."

Big Blue lived at the base when it was a child and has an emotional bond with its keepers. We contacted the base and asked them to send Big Blue's former keepers over.

The reserve is not far from the wild breeding base. If we go and pick up the zookeeper now, we should be able to rescue Lan Xiao before dark.

Lan Xiaoxiao saw humans coming from the treetop, and even saw Chu Yi next to them, which surprised her greatly.

People have arrived, so everything is alright. Humans will definitely find a way to save her.

Professor Xu led his men to retreat a bit down the mountain, and only then did Da Lan stop growling.

At first glance, I didn't understand why the two-legged creature didn't save the bear cub and even backed away, while the bear's head tilted to one side.

Chu Yi plopped down on the ground, looking worriedly at the tree and resentfully at the humans.

A female assistant really wanted to touch Chu Yi, but she refrained from doing so.

Three hours later, the zookeepers finally arrived!

He was a middle-aged man in his forties, whom the younger generation called Uncle Wang. Uncle Wang was Da Lan's caretaker when Da Lan was a child, and he hadn't seen Da Lan for two years.

When Uncle Wang approached, Big Blue was still growling at first, but soon its ears twitched and its nose twitched a few times, as if it was trying to identify some scent.

Uncle Wang squatted down and called out to Big Blue in the familiar whistle he used when it was a child.

Big Blue's roar stopped.

It looked at Uncle Wang, hesitated for a few seconds, and then slowly walked over and sniffed Uncle Wang's hand.

"Big Blue, it's me." Uncle Wang's voice was a little choked up. "Do you still remember me?"

Da Lan's expression clearly showed that she remembered him; Da Lan recognized him.

It didn't attack; instead, it slowly walked towards Uncle Wang.

Uncle Wang couldn't help but pat her and exclaimed, "My dear daughter, I heard you did a fantastic job in the wild!"

Big Blue nuzzled against him, but its eyes kept glancing at Little Blue in the tree, making anxious "baa" sounds.

"I know, I know you're worried." Uncle Wang gently patted Da Lan's head. "We're here to help you, don't be afraid."

With Uncle Wang's reassurance, Da Lan's emotions gradually stabilized.

Professor Xu then told the team members that they could go forward to rescue Lan Xiao.

Chu Yi stood at a distance, not approaching. It watched as the humans set up the ladder. The female assistant was thin and wouldn't break the branches. She climbed up and carefully approached Lan Xiaoxiao.

"Baby, baby, don't be afraid, Auntie will take you down."

The female assistant was still trying to calm the bear down when she discovered that it wasn't afraid of her at all. Its eyes were sparkling, and it even stretched out two paws as if it wanted a hug!

The female assistant, with a soft heart, carried the teddy bear down with one hand.

Lan Xiaoxiao remained calm throughout the entire process of being carried down, and even took a bite out of the other person's collar.

As soon as Lan Xiaoxiao was safely placed on the ground, Da Lan rushed over, and the female assistant quickly stepped aside!

Big Blue sniffed her from head to toe to make sure the cub was alright before picking her up and carrying her back to the cave, keeping her eyes on Uncle Wang as she went.

Uncle Wang waved goodbye to it: "Go on, girl."

Chu Yi stood at a distance, watching the bear cub being carried away, and did not follow.

It stood there for a while, then turned around and slowly walked into the bamboo forest.

Uncle Wang watched Chu Yi's retreating figure, then turned to Professor Xu and asked, "What was that panda?"

"Its name is Chu Yi," Professor Xu said. "It's been helping Da Lan raise her cub recently... a male giant panda."

Uncle Wang's eyes widened: "Huh?"

"It's a long story," Professor Xu wiped the sweat from his brow. "I'll show you the video later."
