The long rope had cut into Wen Chi's neck a little, and dark red blood seeped out from around it.

He didn't care or resist; he just lay quietly outside the protective shield, his gaze fixed on Wenren Lei's face.

Just a second before Fu Yan was about to snap Wen Chi's neck, Wenren cried out urgently, "Brother Yan, don't strangle him! This is my uncle; he saved my life."

Fu Yan's brow relaxed, and the pressure in his hand instantly lessened considerably: "Uncle?"

Wen Chi opened his mouth, as if reading from a language system, and uttered in an extremely hoarse voice, "What's your name?"

Wenrenlei thoughtfully shone the flashlight on her face so that Wen Chi could see her appearance clearly.

In fact, this makes his face look quite bizarre.

He looked at Wen Chi expectantly and said, "My name is Little Golden Bean."

Seeing Wen Chi survive in the form of a zombie king, Wenren Lei felt relieved and even wanted to cry.

Wen Chi pressed his entire face against the protective shield, squeezing it out of shape, as if he wanted to stare right through Wenren Lei: "Little Golden Bean..."

The next second, he said calmly, "I don't know him."

Wenren Lei's long eyelashes trembled slightly, his last hope shattered. He lowered his eyes and said, "If you don't know me, then die."

The zombie king, who has lost his memory, is loyal to the research institute. Perhaps the person in front of him is no longer the Wen Chi from more than ten years ago.

Upon hearing this, Fu Yan immediately tightened the Thunderfire Rope again, causing the elemental light on the rope to surge, scalding Wen Chi's neck until it hissed and emitted black smoke.

But Wen Chi seemed oblivious, still clinging to the protective shield, watching Wenren Lei, repeatedly muttering three words: "Little Golden Bean, Little Golden Bean... Why does that sound so familiar..."

Suddenly, Wen Chi reached out and stabbed himself through the chest.

"Huh?" Wenren Lei was stunned.

"Huh?" Fu Yan was also dumbfounded.

Wen Chi rummaged around in his chest cavity, finally pulling out a blood-stained sealed bag.

The bag was covered in thick, black blood, making it impossible to see what was inside.

Wen Chi turned to look at Fu Yan and pressed the sealed bag against Fu Yan's sleeve, rubbing it vigorously.

Fu Yan slowly raised an eyebrow, looked at Wenren Lei, and politely inquired, "May I kill her now?"

Wenren Lei watched this absurd scene with a mixture of amusement and disbelief.

He remembered that when he escaped from the research institute, Wen Chi had indeed inserted something into his body; so this was it.

Through the protective shield, Wenren Lei softly coaxed, "Good brother Yan, let's wait a little longer and see what he's up to."

Fu Yan's lips curled up slightly: "Okay."

Wen Chi wiped the blood off the sealed bag, revealing a group photo inside.

In the photo, Wen Chi smiles brightly, sitting cross-legged on the carpet in the children's room, with a young child sitting on each knee. Wen Chi has his arms around them, making his classic peace sign with both hands.

He held up the photo, comparing it to Wenren Lei's face, and even unabashedly tugged at Fu Yan's arm: "Look, doesn't it look like her?"

Fu Yan looked over helplessly. He had seen photos of Wenren Lei when she was a child and recognized at a glance that the person sitting on Wen Chi's left knee was Wenren Lei, who was about one year old.

He said, "Yes, it's him."

Wen Chi glanced at Wenren Lei's face again, and instantly dispelled the black mist in the pit. The sunlight suddenly rushed in, so bright that Wenren Lei subconsciously raised his hand to shield his eyes.

Wen Chi turned the photo over, and on the back, a line of words was written in a flamboyant style: "The older one is my eldest nephew, and the younger one is my second nephew, both my biological sons."

There was a two-second silence.

Wen Chi kicked Wenren Lei's protective shield to pieces, then stepped forward like a bandit and hugged Wenren Lei, his blood quickly covering Wenren Lei's body.

Fu Yan's lightning-fire rope was still around his neck, making the scene both awkward and bizarre.

Wen Chi patted Wenren Lei on the back guiltily: "I'm sorry, second nephew, I've lost my memory."

Wenren Lei nearly coughed up blood from the slap, and managed a weak cough: "It's okay, let me go first."

Wen Chi immediately released his grip and stood at attention.

Seeing this, Fu Yan slowly put away the Thunderfire Rope, walked to Wenren Lei's side, and used his healing ability to pat his back: "Are you alright?"

Wenren Lei shook her head: "It's nothing, it doesn't hurt."

During their conversation, the Corpse King, seeing that no one was paying attention to him, simply reopened the wound on his chest and carefully stuffed the sealed bag containing the photos back in.

Wenren Lei was stunned again: "Uncle, you..."

Wen Chi laughed heartily: "You flatter me. It's easy to lose if you put it somewhere else."

Wenren Lei felt truly helpless; he hadn't expected that his reliable uncle, whom he remembered, was actually so absurd.

He sighed softly and asked, "What do you mean you have amnesia?"

"It means exactly what it says. I only have memories after I woke up." Wen Chi wiped his blood-stained hands on his tattered clothes. "When I woke up, I was in this city with Qin Qingqing. She told me to stay here and catch two little white-haired girls."

Wen Chi looked at Wenren Lei with admiration and began to chatter on: "But she didn't tell me that Little White Hair is my nephew, and just as handsome as me. I knew that little girl Qin Qingqing had no good intentions, ordering me around like that."

Wenren Lei nodded. Qin Qingqing's plan was indeed thorough. She would wander around searching outside, while Wen Chi waited for her in Xinchen.

If he and his brother are drawn to the zombie horde and come to Xinchen to investigate, they will fall into Wen Chi's hands.

Wenren Lei poked her head out: "Even if you have amnesia, you can't go back to the research institute. Where would we put someone we've arrested?"

Wen Chi recalled for a moment: "She said if you came, you could capture me alive or dead, and she would come back to meet me, and then we would go back to the research institute together. But she hasn't come back yet. I'm so bored here by myself, so I gathered four little brothers to play with. Right now, they're beating up your arrogant friend."

Wenren Lei gave a weak laugh: "Qin Qingqing has already been killed by Brother Yan, and she will never come to meet you in this lifetime."

Wen Chi said, "Really bad!" He glanced at his nephew and changed his words, "Well done!"

Wenren Lei raised an eyebrow, looking at Wen Chi's tattered clothes and exposed wounds, and sighed, "Even in this state, you still remember that you have a photo hidden inside your body."

Wen Chi squinted, giving him a look of disbelief. "It's been pricking my skin all day, how could I not feel it?" He then added with a smug grin, "I can't believe how clever I was before I lost my memory, managing to calmly and collectedly hide a sweet photo of us. But don't worry, even if I don't remember you, your uncle still loves you..."

Listening to Wen Chi's incessant monologue, Fu Yan lowered his voice and asked Wenren Lei, "What's the situation with this uncle?"

"I've entered an illusion." Wenren Lei glanced at the deranged Wen Chi and said, "Never mind, let's talk about it when we get back."

"Go back?! Where to?!" Wen Chi suddenly leaned closer.

Wenren tearfully said, "Go back to the RV, you'll stay with us..."

"Let's go!" Wen Chi grabbed Fu Yan with one hand and held Wenren Lei with the other, then jumped to the ground.

Wenren Lei steadied herself by supporting Wen Chi's shoulder: "Uncle, you really are... decisive and efficient..."

"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!" Wen Chi let out a loud laugh, put his hands behind his back, and walked towards the only intact car in the entire ruins.

Fu Yan stood beside Wenren Lei and asked in a low voice, "Lei Lei, do you trust him?"
