Beside the campfire, the soldiers huddled together in groups of a dozen or so, keeping each other warm as they slept. They covered themselves with blankets they carried on their backs and wore thick hoods. Snowflakes fell on their heads and bodies, and they snored softly.

Nangong Wu glanced at the thermometer; it was -26 degrees Celsius. The temperature was too low. She felt that it wouldn't be good for these soldiers to sleep like this. If anyone got sick and developed a fever, it would further delay their journey.

Li Shuang walked to her side. "Your Highness, this is only temporary. It will be fine once we leave Lin Dong Prefecture!"

"Let me think of something else!" Nangong Wu turned and walked back. "Come into the space with me!"

"Yes."

She took Li Shuang back to the car and entered the space.

"Eileen".

"Coming!" Eileen came out of the study. "Master, I heard what you were saying just now."

"How many tents do we have in our space?" Nangong Wu asked her.

The tent can block out wind and snow, and can keep more than a dozen people warm while sleeping inside.

"There are quite a few tents of various sizes. The large ones can sleep dozens of people, and the small ones can sleep one or two people. I've already set them up, but it may not be enough for an army of 300,000," Eileen said.

"I'll distribute them as many as I can get, I'll go out and distribute them to them right now!" Nangong Wu was really afraid that the soldiers would get sick if they slept like that all night.

"Okay, it's only a little past nine o'clock now, so it'll be quick to set it up. I'll go get ready for you." Eileen said and left.

"We have to make another trip!" Nangong Wu telepathically led Li Shuang out of the space.

She brought out the truck with the rain canopy and loaded the tent onto it.

Upon seeing this, Li Ke immediately went to wake up the soldiers who had just fallen asleep.

The soldiers perked up when they heard there were tents to sleep in.

Tents can protect against wind and snow, and most importantly, they allow people to lie down and sleep.

Among this large army, dozens of Flying Feather Guards had followed Nangong Wu and knew how to set up these tents. After Nangong Wu distributed the tents, they were responsible for teaching the soldiers how to set them up.

The army used to have tents when marching, but Nangong Wu's tent had an iron frame. It was easy to explain to them.

Nangong Wu distributed all the tents, but there were only enough for half of the people.

"Master, the tents are gone, but we still have a lot of canvas. It came from that base. There are many soldiers. We can set up a few logs and put the canvas on top to keep them sheltered from the wind and snow," Eileen suggested.

"Okay, take it out and give it to them." Nangong Wu continued driving forward.

They were busy for another hour or so.

After all that fuss, Nangong Wu instructed Li Feng to let the soldiers sleep an extra half hour the next morning.

She returned to the front of the column and saw that the soldiers who had set up their tents earlier were already asleep.

She felt a little relieved and hoped the soldiers wouldn't get sick.

Knowing her worries, Li Feng came over to comfort her, "Princess, don't worry, we used to sleep in the open like this when we were on military campaigns."

"Yes, but if conditions permit, we still hope that our soldiers will not get sick," Nangong Wu said.

Even if you're sick, you have to tough it out, but this is a relocation, and she hopes everyone is doing well.

Upon hearing this, Li Feng cupped his hands and said, "Your Highness thanks on behalf of the soldiers."

"It's my duty. Tomorrow, have the soldiers get up and pack up the tents, leaving them where they are. I'll bring them back when I get back," Nangong Wu instructed.

"Understood," Li Feng replied.

"You're all tired, those who need to rest should go and rest." Nangong Wu turned around and went back to the car, taking Li Shuang into the space.

The next day.

Nangong Wu got up, ate some of the breakfast that Eileen had cooked with Li Shuang, and then left the space.

Before dawn, the soldiers were already eating breakfast, which consisted of rice porridge with meat and potatoes.

Seeing that she had gotten up, Li walked over and said, "Your Highness!"

"Li Ke, you spent the whole day yesterday learning to drive this car, you should have mastered it by now. You can drive it first, and I'll go pack up the tents," Nangong Wu instructed.

"Yes, I will get the car moving." Li Ke accepted the order.

"Okay." Nangong Wu led Li Shuang toward the small truck.

Half an hour later, the army set off.

The snow was even heavier today, and the sky was foggy. The soldiers walked with difficulty in the wind and snow, moving even slower than yesterday.

Fortunately, no one got sick.

By noon, there were no more steamed buns, so the soldiers had to eat self-heating rice, plus a vacuum-packed chicken leg made with hot spring water from the space.

"Chirp—" A chirping sound suddenly came from the sky.

It was the sound of Lie Feng. Nangong Wu looked up in surprise and saw that it was indeed Lie Feng who had returned and blew a whistle.

Upon hearing her response, Gale swooped down and landed on her tracked vehicle, tilting its head to examine it.

"Lie Feng, come down!" Nangong Wu waved to Lie Feng.

A fierce wind spread its wings and flew down.

"Lie Feng, you've worked hard." Nangong Wu took out the shredded rabbit meat she had prepared for Lie Feng to reward it.

This guy's favorite meats are rabbit, beef, and mutton.

"This guy's back!" Li Ke came over to help remove the bamboo tube from Lie Feng's claws.

Nangong Wu took the small bamboo tube, removed the lid, and took out the small roll of paper inside.

Her face turned cold after she read the note.

Seeing her expression change, Li assumed something had happened in the capital and hurriedly asked, "Princess, is the Prince alright?"

"In the past three days, two groups of highly skilled assassins broke into the Prince's mansion. My father has already left the mansion through a secret passage and is now living in a villa on the outskirts of the capital." Nangong Wu's eyes were icy cold.

Li Ke's face darkened upon hearing this. "It seems that the Emperor and Nangong Chengkun already know about what happened at Lindongguan."

"Your Highness, let's go and fetch the Prince first!" Li Shuang said with great concern.

Nangong Wu looked up at the sky, which was still overcast and the wind and snow showed no sign of stopping.

"Alright, we'll leave this afternoon. Have Li Feng come see me."

"Yes." Li Ke hurriedly went to find Li Feng.

A quarter of an hour later, Li Feng returned and, seeing Huo Jing's letter, was also filled with worry. "Your Highness, the Prince is in danger. You should go and fetch him!"

"Alright." Nangong Wu nodded. "Let the army rest for two days and leave after I return."

The army traveled light, relying on her space for food.

Anyway, they weren't in a hurry to get going, so stopping for a day or two wouldn't matter.

"Understood!" Li Feng accepted the order.

After lunch and a half-hour rest, the army continued their journey.

Nangong Wu drove the tracked vehicle ahead, found an open area suitable for the army to temporarily set up camp, and then brought out the food and tents.

The grain was covered with a large canvas, enough to feed the army for two or three days.

She not only left them food, but also a large quantity of guns and ammunition in case of a sneak attack.

After she finished making arrangements, she left with Li Shuang and Li Ke, and they needed to get to Kyoto before dark.
