Wen Yisheng: "..."

Is this some kind of exaggeration? Her hair doesn't actually have that much power.

But it seems the bullet really hit Wen Zhi's eye; look, he's in so much pain that tears are streaming down his face.

How could it be fake??

Wen Yisheng discovered that Wen Zhi could be quite childish and spoiled at times.

"What a sweet and gentle girl," she muttered to herself.

Wen Yisheng, feeling guilty after all, patted his arm, signaling him to lower his head: "Then bend down a bit, let me take a look for you."

Wen Zhiqing hummed in agreement and obediently lowered his upper body.

But he was still a bit taller than her.

Wen Yisheng reached out her hand, her soft fingertips covering his eyes. His moist eyelashes brushed against her fingers, making him feel a little ticklish.

She gently lifted his thin, pale eyelids, revealing bluish veins.

"A little red."

She tilted her head back and examined it carefully for a while.

"There's nothing in my eye."

Wen Zhi had already opened her eyes, her serious yet adorable face reflected in her light-colored pupils.

A smile crept into his eyes: "If you blow on it, maybe the pain will go away."

Wen Yisheng was stunned for a moment, then met his gentle, smiling gaze and suddenly realized that he was teasing her again.

My heart was beating much faster than usual.

"You're so boring!" She pushed him away and walked to the right in a huff.

"It really hurts. If Ah Sheng won't blow on it, fine," Wen Zhi didn't chase after her, but raised an eyebrow and called out to her, "I came to tell you to go to class at the gym. You've gone the wrong way."

Wen Yisheng stopped in her tracks, tilted her head back, and turned to walk to the left.

Wen Zhi smiled and caught up with her.

~

There are no classes during the day on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; the first monthly exam after enrollment will be held.

The quiz was conducted in our own classroom, with the desks and chairs spaced a little further apart.

I took the exam during the day, and I heard that the teachers in Nanchuan grade the papers incredibly fast.

While getting dinner in the cafeteria, Wei Lan heard from somewhere that the math exam results from the afternoon had been released.

Wen Zhi was the math class representative and had access to firsthand information. She encouraged Wen Yisheng to go to Wen Zhi to ask about her math grades.

Wei Lan winked at her: "Sheng Sheng, why don't you sit across from Wen Xue Shen later and find out about our math scores?"

Wen Yisheng was pondering what to eat tonight, holding her plate and unable to make up her mind.

She shook her head: "I'm not going. You'll find out when all the results come out on Friday."

Wei Lan pleaded, "I just have no idea how good I am at math, and I want to know as soon as possible so I can be free from this predicament. Sheng Sheng, please ask for me."

"Why don't you just ask him directly?"

"Me?" The hot-tempered Wei Lan chickened out. "I don't dare."

Wen Yisheng turned to look at her, quite surprised: "Why?"

Wen Zhi is usually very popular in class. The boys call him "brother," and the girls have a crush on him. He is also very easy-going and polite, without any airs of a genius. He will carefully explain any homework questions to anyone who asks him.

Wei Lan is considered a leader and a big sister among the girls in the class, so why doesn't she dare to approach Wen Zhi?

"It's just that I feel like he's... how should I put it, he's just too amazing in every way," Wei Lan whispered to her, "Anyway, someone like Wen Xueshen, if you put him in our anime world, he'd be a harmless, perfect, and kind person in the beginning, but he'd definitely have a divine reversal later on."

Wen Yisheng, unfamiliar with anime and manga, asked, "What kind of plot twist is this?"

Wei Lan smiled mysteriously: "In a shoujo manga, he'd be a perverted yandere; in a crime manga, he'd be a deranged serial killer; in an action manga, he'd be a world-destroying villain!"

Wen Yisheng nodded, seemingly confused but impressed: "I see."

Wei Lan became more and more excited as she spoke, and asked Ye Hehua, who was standing next to her, "Does painting feel the same way?"

Wen Yisheng also looked over.

Ye Hehua thought for a moment and said, "My mom says that the better-looking a man is, the more dangerous he is, and the more likely he is to lie."

As Wen Yisheng listened, she glanced up and saw Wen Zhi and Xie Yu queuing up across the food serving window.

Wen Zhiye happened to look over, and their eyes met.

He smiled at her.

Wen Yisheng's heart tightened, and she looked away: "Shh! Lanlan, stop talking..." She didn't know if Wen Zhi had heard their conversation.

Wei Lan also saw them, and awkwardly shut his mouth, nudging Wen Yisheng with his shoulder and putting his hands together in prayer.

"Could you ask about my grades for me? You're deskmates anyway, you can ask after dinner."

Wen Yisheng smiled helplessly and agreed.

There are no teachers for the two evening self-study sessions; we have to rely entirely on self-study.

Everyone is reviewing for tomorrow's exam.

Wen Yisheng opened her notebook, tore off a piece of paper, scribbled a line on it, and nudged Wen Zhi with her elbow.

Wen Zhi glanced at her and picked up the note from the middle of the table.

Wen Yisheng: I heard the math results are out?

Wen Zhi wrote: Yes, do you want to know the score?

Wen Yisheng wrote: I want some. Lanlan and the academic genius want some too!

Wen Zhi took the notebook, smiled, and began to write.

Wen Yisheng waited for a while but he didn't finish writing. Just as she was wondering about it, he finally pushed the note, which was already filled with the handwriting of the two of them, over.

Wen Zhi writes: I am a perverted yandere, a psychopathic killer, a world-destroying villain, and also very dangerous and a liar?

He ran out of space on the note, so he squeezed in a small corner and wrote:

Is this how Ah Sheng talks about her brother in private? Ծ‸Ծ.

I even drew a sad little face on the back.
