After a full month of being fed, Jiang Zhiyu was finally allowed to leave the courtyard by Su Wanqing.

Actually, she was already fully recovered. With the nourishment of the spiritual spring water, her wound healed the next day, and her strength was even more abundant than before she gave birth. But Su Wanqing didn't believe it and fed her three different kinds of soup every day, such as black chicken soup, crucian carp soup, and pig's trotter and peanut soup, until she felt her stomach churn at the mere mention of the word "soup."

Today was the baby's one-month celebration. The Song family held a low-key event, inviting only close relatives and friends, with just three tables set up in the courtyard. The event was lively all morning, but after the guests left, the courtyard returned to quiet. Taking advantage of the fact that the two little ones had finished eating and fallen asleep, Jiang Zhiyu quickly put the babies in their cradles and hid under the grape trellis for a moment of peace.

She looked down at the two fair and tender little faces in the cradle. Her daughter's eyes were closed, her little mouth slightly pouting, and occasionally a very faint blue breath seeped from her nostrils, which she silently enveloped and dispersed with her spiritual power. Her son slept soundly, his little fists clutching the corner of his sister's swaddling clothes, looking incredibly adorable.

The more Jiang Zhiyu looked at it, the softer her heart became.

......

The gate to the courtyard rang.

She looked up and was stunned. There were quite a few people. The leaders were actually Old Gao and Old Li, followed by five unfamiliar faces in naval uniforms. The group was carrying things in their hands.

The guard placed the gift on the stone table under the grape trellis, then stepped back a few paces and stood still.

Jiang Zhiyu quickly stood up and greeted them, "Elder Gao, Elder Li, what brings you two here in person?"

Old Gao waved his hand, "It's too crowded at noon, but quieter in the evening. Come and check on the two little ones."

Old Li followed behind, nodding and smiling. His gaze lingered on the two babies in the cradle for a couple of seconds, his face full of affection.

Jiang Zhiyu welcomed the group into the house and, while pouring water, noticed that the five naval officers were standing ramrod straight, their eyes filled with barely concealed urgency.

Old Li then introduced her, "This is Qi Zhenhai, the deputy commander of the navy. He was in charge of the formation and training of the second ship. These people behind him are his deputies."

Qi Zhenhai immediately stood up straight and gave Jiang Zhiyu a standard military salute.

Jiang Zhiyu put down the thermos in her hand, stood up, and solemnly returned the salute. The four deputies also saluted in unison, and she returned the salute to each of them.

Old Li smiled at the scene and said, "I came here today under the pretext of the baby's full moon celebration. First, I wanted to see the child, and second, these hotheads have been blocking my office door every day. They've chosen their people and almost finished training them, but these past few days, they've been following me around demanding an aircraft carrier. They're even more ruthless than Huang Shiren, always asking for it. Today they insisted on a definite answer. I really had no other choice, so I came to you. Do you think it's convenient for you to transport that one over recently?"

Jiang Zhi nodded with a slight smile, "Of course it's convenient. The children are basically being taken care of by two guards and Ma's wife now, so I can leave anytime."

Upon hearing this, Qi Zhenhai sprang to his feet as if springed back to life. "Comrade Jiang, shall we set off tonight?"

Old Gao raised his hand and patted his shoulder. "Sit down first. Haste makes waste. Now that you've received confirmation, put your mind at ease, go back and reorganize your troops, and wait to set off."

Qi Zhenhai sat back down heavily, his lips pressed tightly together, but his eyes were red. His four deputies behind him were no better off, each one more excited than the last. They had been waiting for this moment day and night for the past four months of training.

Seeing that the matter was settled, Mr. Gao and Mr. Li relaxed and leaned back in their chairs to drink some tea.

Old Gao then brought up another matter, "In the past month, I had the surveillance cameras surrounding your courtyard removed, and I've temporarily suppressed all the nuclear contamination reports from the labs, handling them using the old methods. It's not advisable for you to show your face now; we need to wait until the situation is completely stable. Besides, our own technology has made breakthroughs this year, so the nuclear contamination isn't as severe as it was a few years ago. There's no rush to send you out."

Jiang Zhiyu nodded. She knew that Old Gao was protecting her, and she remembered this kindness.

The group chatted for a while longer about research progress and future development plans, ranging from special steel to the localization of steam turbines, from new breakthroughs in the desert experimental area to several new projects at Beijing Institute of Technology. The conversation drifted further and further away. Finally, Professor Gao looked at his watch and said, "It's getting late. You still have children to take care of, so we won't stay any longer."

He turned to look at Jiang Zhiyu, "When are you planning to go to Sandu'ao?"

Jiang Zhiyu thought for a moment, "Tomorrow morning then."

"Alright, I'll contact Lu Zhenting tonight and have him prepare the backup plan in advance."

......

After seeing everyone off, Jiang Zhiyu had just returned to the grape trellis when she saw her parents and Song Yanzhou standing under the eaves, all three pairs of eyes fixed on her.

She paused, "Why are you all looking at me like that?"

Song Yanzhou strode over and grabbed her hand. "Wife, are we going on another mission?"

Jiang Zhiyu nodded.

Su Wanqing couldn't hide the worry on her face. "The baby is only a month old, so small. How long will you be gone?"

"It won't be long, probably three or four days." Jiang Zhiyu patted her hand, "Don't worry, Mom, you don't need to worry about her safety. It's just that the baby will be a bit of a hassle for you these next few days."

As she spoke, she turned around, looked at the youngest son in Su Wanqing's arms, reached out and touched his soft little face, and then took her daughter from Jiang Boxun's arms.

The little one whimpered twice in her arms and opened his big, dark eyes to stare at her.

Jiang Zhiyu closed her eyes, a wisp of extremely fine spiritual energy emanating from her fingertips, slowly flowing along her daughter's meridians, gently calming the restless poison-based energy within her body. Without a source of poison for her to absorb, this energy would only occasionally and unconsciously leak out of her body, but fortunately, the amount was small, and her calming action temporarily suppressed it.

She bent down and kissed her daughter's cheek, then looked at Jiang Boxun and Su Wanqing, "Mom and Dad, get some rest. I'm leaving tomorrow morning."

Seeing the fleeting apology in her eyes, Song Yanzhou said nothing more, took his daughter into his arms, and said, "Honey, don't worry, leave the house to me. If Grandpa and Grandma hear you're on a mission, they'll definitely take over this courtyard. The child will definitely be taken care of, so just focus on completing your mission."

Looking at the tacit understanding between the family members, Jiang Zhiyu's initial guilt was gradually replaced by a sense of reassurance.
