Chapter 113 1 Let everything take its natural course
The two women's trip lasted quite a long time.
The boys in the class had been eagerly waiting for dinner since before the sun had set, but no one returned even after it was completely dark.
Just as everyone was wondering if the two of them had both disappeared and was about to take out their phones to call the police, they finally saw two people carrying large and small bags into the door.
After the meal, the boys sat and chatted for a while before getting up and going back to their dorm.
Peng Jingpei showed no intention of leaving, saying, "Since I've eaten their food, I should do something for them, otherwise I'll feel guilty."
Su Man'er was initially pleased, thinking that the girl was going to stay and help her clean up the mess of cups and plates on the table.
To everyone's surprise, she turned around and followed Gu Feng into the study.
So, she was still thinking about tutoring Gu Feng.
We've let the wolf into our house!
Su Man'er watched helplessly as her man entered the room with another woman, feeling both bitter and angry. But when she looked up again and saw that the two hadn't closed the door, but were sitting upright next to the desk, her heart finally calmed down a little—at least they still had some conscience and hadn't ignored her.
"Gu Feng, tell me about your situation so I can know where to focus my supplements."
Peng Jingpei glanced at Gu Feng, who was sitting upright. She didn't know what had gotten into him; he seemed like a completely different person after entering this room. He was serious, silent, and not only did he stop joking with her, he also spoke very little.
"Uh... to put it simply, I'm completely familiar with traditional Chinese medicine, but I have absolutely no concept of Western medicine. These past two days have been like starting from scratch," Gu Feng said succinctly.
"Oh, I see. Well, I brought the anatomy book then, so I made the right decision." Peng Jingpei placed the thick anatomy textbook, which was thick enough to kill someone, on the table. "Then I'll explain it to you from the beginning, okay?"
Gu Feng nodded blankly, earnestly adopting a humble and receptive demeanor.
When men and women work together, even studying doesn't feel tiring.
One was speaking intently, and the other was listening attentively. Neither of them noticed that Su Man'er had come and gone several times.
As Peng Liangpei spoke, she underlined key points in the book with a pen.
When not in use, the pen twirled nimbly between her slender, pale fingers, its arcs curving in circles before winding around again, seemingly casual yet possessing an indescribable elegance that captivated Gu Feng.
A soft "click" sounded.
Even the best of us make mistakes, and the pen fell to the ground with a thud.
Gu Feng quickly bent down to pick it up. His fingers had just touched the pen, and he was about to look up when his gaze inadvertently swept over Peng Liangpei's skirt...
Just as I was engrossed in watching, those knees suddenly came together, and a soft cough came from above!
Gu Feng snapped out of his daze and hurriedly straightened up, but his guilty expression couldn't hide his unease.
Seeing his strange expression, Peng Jingpei immediately understood what was going on. Her face flushed red with embarrassment, and she glared at him, asking, "What did you see?"
"No, I didn't see anything," Gu Feng replied evasively, his answer only making matters worse.
"Hmph, you big pervert," Peng Jingpei scolded, standing up as she did so.
"Where are you going? I didn't mean to, I was..." Gu Feng assumed she was really angry and nervously tried to explain.
"You still say you didn't see it?" Peng Jingpei glared at him reproachfully.
"I, I..." Gu Feng hung his head dejectedly, like a child who had made a mistake.
With a chuckle, Peng Liangpei was amused by his silly appearance and said, "Silly boy, it's so late, if I don't go home, am I supposed to sleep here with you tonight?"
I'd like to, but my tigress at home would definitely not agree. Gu Feng sighed inwardly with considerable regret.
"Let's go, take me home." Peng Liangpei picked up her small bag, but when she turned around, she found Gu Feng still rooted to the spot in his chair, not moving an inch. She couldn't help but wonder, "Huh, you're not even going to take me home, are you?"
Gu Feng felt a bitter taste in his mouth and didn't know how to answer.
Seeing his seemingly painful expression, Peng Liangpei became worried again: "Gu Feng, what's wrong? Is your stomach upset?"
"I feel a little uncomfortable, down in my stomach," Gu Feng thought to himself, but quickly denied it aloud, "No, no."
"You were perfectly fine just now, how come you're suddenly acting like this towards me?"
Helpless, Gu Feng had no choice but to carefully stand up, his legs slightly apart, his hips sticking back, looking incredibly awkward!
Some things, if said aloud, will only make things worse.
Some actions become more obvious the more you try to hide them.
Peng Liangpei was full of doubts. Her beautiful eyes swept over him, and finally, she understood!
"You rascal, what are you thinking? I'll wait for you outside." Peng Jingpei's face turned as red as it could possibly be. She spat and quickly fled the study.
Su Man'er, who was idly watching a romantic drama in the living room, caught a glimpse of Peng Liangpei walking out of her room, her face flushed and her expression shy. Su Man'er immediately wondered: Wasn't she supposed to be having tutoring? What happened?
"Sister, I'm leaving now," Peng Jingpei said shyly as she took her leave.
"Oh, okay, come visit anytime." Su Man'er said politely, but secretly she hoped she would never come again. Turning her head, she called out insincerely, "Gu Feng, are you hiding in your room having your babies? Hurry up and see your classmate off."
"Oh, he's here." When Gu Feng came out of the room, everything had naturally returned to normal.
As he passed by her, he heard Su Man'er suddenly lower her voice and lean closer to ask, "Did you molest someone?"
"No, no." Gu Feng quickly shook his head.
"Hmph, still not behaving yourself. Wait till you get back, I'll teach you a lesson." Su Man'er said fiercely, then, seeing him still standing there dumbfounded, she couldn't help but hiss, "What are you standing there for? Hurry up and go."
"Oh, okay," Gu Feng replied repeatedly, but inwardly he was filled with regret. Why did I have to bring other women home? Wasn't I just asking for trouble?
It seems that tonight it won't be Wu Song fighting the tiger, but rather the tiger fighting Wu Song.
"Gu Feng, your older sister is really something. She's elegant in public and capable in the kitchen, a perfect wife and mother." On the way back to school, Peng Liangpei said to Gu Feng with a hint of jealousy.
You don't know this, but her greatest skill lies in the bedroom. Gu Feng thought to himself, forcing a dry laugh: "Yeah, yeah."
"Judging from her expression, even though she's not your biological sister, she really cares about you." Peng Jingpei's jealousy intensified.
"Yes, yes," Gu Feng replied obliviously.
"She's so beautiful, and she owns a car and a house, she must have a lot of suitors, right?"
"Yeah, yeah." Gu Feng was absent-minded, his mind already wandering back to his bed at home. He wondered how his sister would punish him tonight.
"You two are so close, your relationship probably goes far beyond that of ordinary siblings, right?"
"Yeah, yeah," Gu Feng replied absentmindedly. The words had barely left his mouth when he noticed Peng Liangpei's face turn deathly pale, and he snapped back to reality.
He wanted to explain, but felt that explaining was nothing more than a cover-up; to cover up, he would have to make up a story. But making up stories was clearly not his forte.
He thought for a moment, then simply sighed. Whatever. Anyway, his relationship with Su Man'er was definitely beyond that of ordinary siblings. If you don't want to talk to me anymore, I don't want your so-called friendly match either.
The atmosphere instantly became extremely awkward. Peng Jingpei regretted her decision to meddle in something she shouldn't have. After a long silence, she murmured softly, as if talking to herself, "Let everything... take its course."
"Yes, yes." Gu Feng nodded vigorously.
