The next morning, when Su Qing came out of the bathroom after washing up, the living room was already filled with the aroma of fried eggs and toast.

Jiang Ran, wearing an apron, stood in the kitchen. Hearing footsteps, she turned around with her usual sweet smile on her lips.

Su Qing was wearing a light pink cotton nightgown. One of the buttons at the neckline had come undone at some point, hanging crookedly below her collarbone, revealing a patch of fair, glowing skin.

Sunlight streamed in obliquely through the living room window, falling directly on her. Then Jiang Ran saw the marks she had left behind last night... There were several faint red marks on the side of her sister's neck, like crushed flower petals gently imprinted on the snow.

Not just on her neck, but also on her arms, below her collarbone, and even on her two long, straight, white legs, the rouge was scattered finely on her fair skin, like a box of rouge had been accidentally spilled.

In the morning light, Su Qing had a head of messy, ear-length hair that was sticking up in her sleep, with a few stray strands standing on top of her head. There were still tears in the corners of her eyes from just yawning. She looked soft and dazed, just like the sister she had held in her arms last night, who had let out a sweet hum under her lips.

"It's already autumn, why are there still so many mosquitoes..." She rubbed her sleepy eyes, yawned, and walked barefoot to the dining table in her slippers, pattering as she sat down.

Jiang Ran was just taking the freshly fried eggs out of the pan and putting them on the plate in front of her when she heard this. Her spatula paused for a moment, then she casually arranged the fried eggs, turned around and went to get the toasted bread, a very faint smile on her lips, the meaning of which only she knew.

"Maybe the window wasn't closed properly last night," she said without turning her head, her voice calm and obedient. "I'll look for it later and help my sister swat that big mosquito."

As Jiang Ran said this, she placed the strawberry milk next to Su Qing. Her gaze lingered for a moment on the red mark on Su Qing's collarbone before she casually looked away and sat down opposite her.

After all, Su Qing never imagined that the "big mosquito" was sitting properly across the table, holding a slice of toast, looking very obedient.

Su Qing hummed in agreement, picked up her strawberry milk and took a sip. In her mind, she asked the system if she had been bitten badly by mosquitoes last night. The system was silent for a moment, then answered in an extremely calm tone, without any emotional fluctuation, saying that the red marks on her body were indeed caused by some kind of nocturnal creature, and that applying floral water would help prevent them. It then began to list common mosquito repellent products on the market and their effective ingredients.

As the system earnestly began explaining the difference between DEET and N, Su Qing decisively chose to let it go in one ear and out the other.

Jiang Ran ate her breakfast while secretly observing her sister's reaction.

My sister looked exactly the same as usual, with messy hair, sleepy eyes, and puffy cheeks when she ate her toast. She occasionally picked up her milk and took a sip, not even noticing the white milk stains around her mouth.

She seems to remember nothing.

Jiang Ran lowered her eyelashes, feeling relieved. If her sister didn't remember, then she could continue to pretend that nothing had happened.

However, she still wanted to confirm it.

She swallowed the toast in her mouth and asked with a casual, almost dismissive tone, "Sister, did you know you were drunk last night?"

Su Qing stopped biting into her toast.

She looked up, half a slice of toast still dangling from her mouth, her eyes wide open.

Really? She genuinely couldn't remember when she fell asleep, but surely her alcohol tolerance isn't that low? Could she really get drunk on such a low-alcohol fruit wine?

But looking at Xiao Ran's obviously probing appearance... could she have done something embarrassing last night?

Su Qing was startled. She took the toast out of her mouth and placed it on the plate, sat up straight, and unconsciously twisted the edge of the napkin with her fingers.

Jiang Ran was startled by her sister's nervous demeanor.

Has my sister remembered?

She lowered her eyelashes guiltily, her mind racing with images from last night...

She pulled her sister into her arms, buried her face in her neck, and pressed her lips against the soft skin above her collarbone, listening to her soft moans in her sleep.

If her older sister knew what she had done to her, she would definitely find it very strange. She would definitely think that her most trusted and beloved younger sister had secretly kissed her while she was drunk, and not just once, but in many, many places.

She secretly gripped her chopsticks, thinking that if her sister really asked, she would admit her mistake and apologize properly, no matter what her sister thought.

Just as she took a deep breath, preparing to confess, Su Qing had already moved closer to her.

Jiang Ran was lost in thought and didn't notice her sister approaching. When she came to her senses, Su Qing was already sitting in the chair next to her, tilting her head close and looking at her with a nervous yet incredibly curious expression. She whispered, "Ran, did I do anything strange last night?"

Su Qing's voice was very low, as if afraid of being overheard by a third person. She frowned slightly and stared at Jiang Ran without blinking.

Jiang Ran was stunned for a moment upon hearing this, and then the corners of her mouth began to involuntarily turn up.

She pressed the back of her hand against the corner of her lips, trying to suppress the curve, but she couldn't.

She placed the chopsticks on the chopstick rest, her fingers tracing circles on the table. Her tone was light and casual, as if she were absent-minded, but in reality, she spoke each word slowly, deliberately making Su Qing's heart sway in mid-air for a few more seconds: "No, I didn't do anything last night~ I went to sleep very well."

Looking at her expression, Su Qing realized it had nothing to do with "doing nothing." Instead, it seemed to say, "Yes, you did do it, but I won't tell you. You have to guess."

She immediately clasped her hands together and raised them to her eyebrows, her attitude as sincere as if she had committed some terrible crime: "I'm sorry! Whatever it is, it's all my sister's fault!"

Jiang Ran felt a pang of guilt when she saw her sister's sincere and adorable expression, as if she was afraid of being too slow in apologizing.

After all, from last night until now, she has been the one who "profited the most"... She kissed her sister, left a mark, and was treated by her sister as a non-existent mosquito. Her sister is even apologizing to her now for those things that never happened.

However, her guilt only lasted for a fraction of a second before another thought took over.

"Sister, do you really want to know?" She lowered her voice and whispered, putting on a mysterious and serious expression as she leaned closer.

Su Qing swallowed, hesitated for a fraction of a second, and then nodded.

Jiang Ran asked her to come closer, and Su Qing obediently leaned forward. The two were so close that Su Qing could clearly feel Jiang Ran's warm breath.

Then Jiang Ran tilted her head slightly and brought her lips close to Su Qing's ear, which was fair with a hint of pink and had fine downy hairs that could be clearly seen in the morning light.

"Chirp."

A very faint, moist sound exploded in Su Qing's ears.

It wasn't a kiss, but a very, very light touch on her earlobe, so gentle it felt like being touched by something soft.

"Ugh...!" Su Qing let out a short cry of surprise, and her whole body jolted back as if she had been electrocuted, falling back into the chair.

Jiang Ran had already sat back down in her seat, spread her hands, shrugged, blinked her eyes, and said innocently, "Sister really didn't do anything last night, she went to sleep very well."

"Then, then what you just did...?"

"Oh, I was just teasing my sister."

Looking at her mischievous little expression, Su Qing felt a tingling sensation, like being electrocuted, and her pretty face turned red. After a long while, she managed to squeeze out an angry "Xiao Ran" through her teeth.

Jiang Ran looked at her sister's embarrassed and angry expression, yet she couldn't do anything about it. Her eyes crinkled with undisguised laughter and indulgence.

Although Jiang Ran said, "Sister, don't be angry, I won't do it again next time," the more Su Qing listened, the more she felt that her tone sounded like she would do it again next time.
