From rejecting the beautiful female CEO to becoming extremely powerful

Chapter 68: Should I sign a contract of servitude?

"A thorough investigation of the Milky Way?"

Su Qingwan opened the materials on the table, glanced at only a few pages, and then pushed the documents back.

"Lei Hu, did you clean up your mess before handing over these things?"

Lei Hu pressed his hand on the teacup: "What do you mean?"

"On the 17th of last month, three boxes of prohibited drugs were smuggled into Tiansheng Entertainment City, a subsidiary of Huixin Group."

"The goods come in from your private dock and are hidden in the mezzanine of the liquor warehouse."

"On the night of the 22nd, you had someone move the goods to the northern suburbs."

Su Qingwan gave out two license plate numbers and then read out a string of warehouse numbers.

Lei Hu stopped holding the cup.

The elders present exchanged glances.

Ninth Master gripped his cane and slightly raised his eyelids: "Do you have evidence?"

"I have backups of the delivery drivers, dock loading and unloading records, and warehouse surveillance footage."

Su Qingwan looked at Lei Hu: "Once that batch of stuff gets into Sheng'an, Yundian Club will be implicated too. You dare to drag everyone down with you just to make money, and you still have the nerve to bite me?"

"Nonsense!"

Lei Hu slammed his hand on the table and stood up, splashing tea onto his sleeve.

"The goods were received by my subordinates without my permission, and I had them dealt with a long time ago. You're trying to pin this old, unverifiable matter on me, Ninth Master, you can't let her make baseless accusations!"

"What's the rush? I haven't finished speaking yet."

Su Qingwan turned to Fengshan.

"Regarding the East Suburb Resort project, you arranged for Wang Daqiang to embezzle five million yuan in wages, and then used the work stoppage to force Fengming Group to pay breach of contract penalties."

"The kickbacks you received from the six material suppliers totaled more than 17 million."

Fengshan's cigarette fell onto the table.

Su Qingwan pushed a piece of paper over.

"The transfer time, the receiving account, and the name of the person handling the transaction are all here."

Fengshan grabbed the paper, and after reading only two lines, sweat beaded on his forehead.

"This is an internal matter for the Feng family!"

"Where were you hiding when the workers poured gasoline on the Fengming Group office?"

Su Qingwan leaned forward and stared at Fengshan.

"Feng Shan, you think you're worthy of taking the CEO position?"

"Shut up!"

Fengshan jumped up, bumping his head on the edge of the table.

"Ninth Master, she's changing the subject! Today's interrogation is of Xinghe, what nonsense are you spouting?"

Lei Hu chimed in, "If she really had evidence, she would have handed it over long ago. The reason she's only bringing it up today is simply to buy time."

That's enough.

Ninth Master tapped the ground with his cane.

Lei Hu immediately sat down, and Feng Shan, suppressing his anger, retreated back into his chair.

Ninth Master looked at Su Qingwan.

"Now that you have this information, why don't you report it according to parliamentary procedures?"

"Because I know who will get hold of the materials after they are submitted."

Su Qingwan glanced at the people next to Lei Hu.

"Among those sitting here today, how many have received money from Huixin, and how many have shared projects with Fengshan? Do I really have to name them all?"

A few chairs in the hall made a soft rustling sound.

Ninth Master tightened his grip on the cane.

"Su Qingwan, are you questioning the council, or are you questioning me?"

"Someone wants to take away the business I've built up over a decade, and I'm expected to bow down and thank them?"

Su Qingwan tore open the folder and spread the materials inside on the table.

"I deny the money laundering charge. Lei Hu and Feng Shan conspired to cause trouble, all they wanted was Xinghe's port and land."

"Just because they want to take it, does that mean I have to give way?"

The lines on Ninth Master's face tightened.

Several elders at the table lowered their heads, not daring to utter a sound.

Xiao Sihai picked up the teacup and put it back on the table.

"Ninth Master, Qingwan was a bit too blunt."

He glanced at Su Qingwan.

Regarding the port approval, Xinghe is willing to pay three times the deposit and suspend new projects for another six months.

"The issues concerning Lei Hu and Feng Shan will be handled in another adjudication meeting. That's all for today. What do you think?"

Ninth Master stared at Xiao Sihai: "Are you teaching me how to do things?"

Xiao Sihai tightened his jaw: "I wouldn't dare."

"Then sit down."

Xiao Sihai remained silent for a moment, leaned back in his chair, and did not speak again.

Su Qingwan saw this scene and pressed her palm against the edge of the table.

The sweat on her palms clung to the wood grain, but she didn't let go.

Ninth Master picked up the list in front of him.

"Xinghe ignored the review process and introduced foreign funds. Su Qingwan publicly attacked members of the council and refused to obey the ruling."

"These two things are enough to warrant punishment."

Lei Hu sat up straight, and Feng Shan put down his cigarette.

Ninth Master said, "The operating rights of the two ports under Xinghe Group will be handed over to Huixin Group for management for five years."

"The three commercial projects in the eastern part of the city have been transferred to the investment company managed by Fengshan."

"Galaxy is prohibited from participating in parliamentary votes or raising new external financing for two years."

Su Qingwan propped herself up on the table and stood up.

The chair slid back half a meter and hit the floor.

"The port accounts for 60% of Galaxy's cash flow. Three commercial projects involve over 4,000 employees; you're just going to give them all away with a single sentence?"

The four guards behind Ninth Master stepped forward at the same time.

One of them had already slipped his hand inside his clothes.

Su Qingwan did not back down.

"Ninth Master, if you deem me to have violated the rules, I will pay whatever the fine is."

"What rule does it fall under to directly give assets to Lei Hu and Feng Shan?"

"You want to go over the parliamentary charter with me?"

Ninth Master raised his hand.

The four guards stopped, but their eyes remained fixed on Su Qingwan.

"The rules are set by Yundian, and the decisions are made by me. You may disagree, but that won't affect the execution of the rules."

Lei Hu leaned back in his chair, a smile creeping across his face.

"Chairman Su, Ninth Master has already given you some leeway. If you continue to make trouble, Xinghe will lose everything."

Fengshan chimed in, "Signing sooner will allow you to keep a few companies. If you force yourself out of Sheng'an, no one can save you."

Su Qingwan turned to look at him: "Think about how to explain that seventeen million first."

Feng Shan's smile vanished.

Ninth Master placed a black folder in the center of the desktop.

"Su Qingwan, considering your contributions to the council over the years, I'll give you another option."

The black folder slid down the desktop to her.

"Sign it, and Galaxy will retain 70% of its assets. The port will still belong to you, and you won't have to hand over the land."

Su Qingwan did not touch it.

"What is this?"

"Letter of Allegiance"

Several men at the table looked up, their eyes burning.

Su Qingwan stared at the cloud-top seal on the cover, her throat bobbing a few times.

She had seen this agreement before.

After signing, the properties under one's name will be subject to parliamentary control, and personal schedules will be reported at any time.

Core members have the right to summon them, and signatories may not refuse any request.

Ninth Master leaned back in his chair, his tone calm.

"After you sign, you will be fully loyal to Yundian. You must do whatever the core members here need you to do."

"Including sleeping with them?"

No one in the hall responded.

Lei Hu licked her lips, and Feng Shan's gaze remained fixed on her for a long time.

Su Qingwan opened the document.

On the last page, all eleven signature fields were filled with names, leaving only the bottom one empty.

She gripped the pen on the table.

The pen cap was pulled off, fell onto the table, and rolled twice before stopping.

Ninth Master looked at her and tapped the watch face twice.
