Erbao ran over and grabbed Congying's arm like a leech.

"Auntie, don't go." Erbao started to whine, "Sit down and eat with me."

"Your dad's back, the whole family can eat." Cong Ying reached out to pull Erbao's hand away. "I'm going home first."

"Let's eat first, don't wait for him." Erbao pouted and complained, "He's busy making big money outside, he doesn't even have eyes for me, his precious youngest son."

You've been gone for a month or two, and the house has been cold and empty. My brother's cooking is nothing to write home about. It's rare to have a hot meal, and now that you're gone, I'm not eating anymore.

"Aunt……"

He dragged out the last syllable.

"I've been studying hard."

Cong Ying simply couldn't resist Er Bao's coquettish behavior.

This child is born in the Year of the Monkey; she's sweet-talking and perceptive, yet she puts on a pitiful act, like a weak and helpless little princess, making it impossible to be cruel to her.

Da Bao stood by the dining table.

I watched this scene quietly.

He had long understood the look in his father's eyes when he looked at Aunt Congying.

Zhou Fang is usually carefree, but she cares a lot about Cong Ying. As a calm and sensitive person, Da Bao wants a lady of the house more than anyone else, especially since that person is Cong Ying.

"Auntie, please stay for dinner."

Da Bao spoke up, his tone sincere, "You bought the groceries and you cooked them. Now that you're gone, we can't feel at ease eating this meal."

"You need to eat dinner when you get back."

Two pairs of eyes stared at her expectantly.

Cong Ying was worn down by the two brothers until she lost her temper.

"Okay, I'll go back after I finish eating." Cong Ying pulled out a chair and sat down again.

"Awoo..." Erbao cheered and shot into the kitchen like a rocket, grabbing a large soup ladle.

He first served Cong Ying a full bowl of meat soup and placed it neatly in front of her.

"Auntie, have some soup," Erbao said, offering it up like a precious treasure.

The bathroom door opened, and Zhou Fang walked out, drying her hair.

He changed into a clean black T-shirt and sweatpants, and shaved his beard clean, looking much more energetic.

He walked to the dining table, pulled out a chair, and looked at the untouched food on the table.

"Why don't you eat first?" Zhou Fang felt a little guilty. "I already said if you're hungry, just eat quickly and don't wait for me."

"Ew..." Erbao gave him a disdainful look. "Who's waiting for you? Auntie was almost going home for dinner, but your cute, smart and clever son made me stay."

"Thank you." Zhou Fang picked up his chopsticks and put some food on Cong Ying's plate. "Thank you also for standing up for that brat at school today."

Cong Ying picked up a bowl and ladled a bowl of soup for Zhou Fang, handing it to him as well.

"If the school doesn't care, someone has to demand an explanation." Cong Ying briefly recounted what had happened yesterday and today to Zhou Fang.

Speaking of the chaotic scene at Jiang Yi's house.

Cong Ying frowned.

"That child was basically left unattended." Cong Ying picked up a piece of water spinach with her chopsticks. "His parents were always arguing or fighting at home, and they were always swearing."

If Jiang Yi didn't have someone to guide him, his life would be ruined. His family education was terrible; his parents treated him like a child who had brought his own food, as long as he didn't starve, and they'd resort to violence at the slightest disagreement.

Zhou Fang took a big bite of the garlic duck and frowned as he listened.

"Kids from families like that are ticking time bombs." Cong Ying put down her chopsticks and looked at Erbao. "Erbao, do you want to transfer schools? Auntie will ask someone to find you a better one."

Erbao is having a fierce battle with a salt and pepper shrimp.

Upon hearing this, he raised his head and shook it like a rattle.

"I won't turn it." Erbao swallowed the shrimp meat in his mouth.

"Why?" Cong Ying asked, somewhat surprised.

"It's so embarrassing to transfer schools, it'll make it seem like I'm afraid of Jiang Yi." Erbao threw the shrimp shells on the table. "Besides, what if I run into another lunatic like him after transferring schools? I have to protect myself."

"What will you use to protect yourself?" Zhou Fang scoffed. "You think you can protect yourself with that face of yours that's swollen like a pig's head?"

Erbao glared back defiantly.

"That's because there are more of them. I'm going to sign up for a class. Da Bao is learning Sanda and Taekwondo, and I want to learn them too. Once I'm skilled, I can take on all five of them at once."

Zhou Fang scoffed and ignored him.

He turned to look at Da Bao, his expression turning serious.

"Da Bao." Zhou Fang tapped the table.

"Mm." Da Bao put down his bowl.

"Go to the elementary school tomorrow. Find those kids who fought with Jiang Yi, and warn them one by one. They ganged up on your brother."

Tell them, if they dare touch Erbao again, I'll personally break their legs.

Da Bao nodded: "I've already warned them."

"Take it easy," Cong Ying said disapprovingly to Zhou Fang. "Don't try to scare the kid with the same tactics you use on thugs. The root of the problem lies with the school teachers. Erbao's homeroom teacher is just completely incompetent."

Cong Ying: "He doesn't want to offend difficult parents, so he ignores parents like you who are easy to talk to and don't care about anything. When something happens, he just tries to smooth things over and takes sides."

In addition, my second child is an average student at school, neither particularly good nor outstanding in academics, making him easily overlooked.

There are a lot of fights these days.

Teachers protect the top students in the class the most.

"I'll go to the school tomorrow and have a talk with their homeroom teacher."

Cong Ying did not respond.

She knew Zhou Fang's fiery temper all too well; if they went to school, a conflict might easily break out.

"Don't get provoked tomorrow, and stay calm when things happen." Cong Ying finished the last sip of soup. "Don't make a scene at school, and use your brain to solve problems."

Zhou Fang immediately calmed down.

"Okay, I'll do as you say," Zhou Fang agreed readily.

Erbao, watching his father's behavior, secretly winked at Dabao.

Da Bao lowered his head, suppressing a laugh, and quickly shoveled two mouthfuls of rice into his mouth.

The meal was eaten clean.

The five dishes and one soup were completely devoured, with not even a drop of soup left.

After the meal, Zhou Fang took the initiative to clear the dishes and went into the kitchen, resolutely refusing to let Cong Ying do anything.

Da Bao dragged Er Bao into the room to do his homework.

Cong Ying was left alone in the living room, sitting on the sofa, listening to the sound of running water coming from the kitchen.

"I'm going back to my dorm." Cong Ying walked to the kitchen door.

The sound of water in the kitchen stopped.

Zhou Fang leaned halfway out, "Wait a minute, I'll take you there."

"No need." Cong Ying turned and walked to the entrance to change her shoes.

Zhou Fang hastily wiped his hands a couple of times, rummaged through his travel bag and pulled out a wooden box, then took two steps to the door and followed them out.

The security door closed. Da Bao and Er Bao poked their heads out of the second bedroom.

Erbao pouted, "My dad is so stupid."

Da Bao glanced at him. "You think you're smart?"

"If I were him, I would lie on the ground and throw a tantrum, clinging to Auntie's leg and refusing to let go, insisting that she be our mother."

Da Bao couldn't hold back and flicked him on the forehead.

"Besides throwing tantrums and rolling on the ground, what else can you do?"

Erbao covered his head and thought for a moment, "She's also good at sweet talk. I've seen it portrayed like that in TV dramas. Besides, Auntie likes me, Daddy wouldn't do what I do."

Hey……

Erbao once again looked down on Zhou Fang, wondering if he could possibly win over a wife.
