The two argued until they were completely exhausted.

The bedroom light had been turned on at some point. Song Yunqi squinted, the light making him uncomfortable, so he turned his head and buried his face in the pillow.

"It's off," he said, his voice so hoarse it was almost inaudible.

"No," Shen Chonglu refused.

"I want to see what you look like now."

Song Yunxi was too weak to argue with him, but Shen Chonglu had already wisely dimmed the lights, turning the cold white light into a soft warm yellow, spreading a light halo in the room.

Shen Chonglu leaned on top, sweat dripping down his forehead, onto Song Yunqi's collarbone, and then sliding down the curve of her skin into the pillowcase.

His breathing was rapid, as if he hadn't fully recovered from the intensity of the previous scene. His gaze was fixed on Song Yunqi's face, filled with an almost greedy infatuation.

Song Yunxi felt uncomfortable being stared at, so she raised her eyes and gave him a haughty, aloof look.

That glance was clearly weak, his eyelids were almost about to give way, but it was precisely this lazy yet slightly disdainful demeanor that made Shen Chonglu's heart skip a beat.

"Do you know what you look like right now?" Song Yunxi's voice was soft and hoarse, as if she was squeezing it out with her last bit of strength.

Shen Chonglu shook his head blankly, beads of sweat glistening on his forehead.

The man parted his thin lips slightly and uttered two words: "You lowly dog."

Shen Chonglu was taken aback for a moment, then smiled.

The smile wasn't one of offense, but rather one of immense reward; the eyes lit up, and the corners of the mouth curved into a childlike satisfaction.

"Yes, that's me."

As if those two words had ignited something, he bent down, buried his head in Song Yunxi's neck, and started rubbing against her, making a fuss again.

Song Yunxi cursed a few more times, her voice broken and intermittent. Halfway through her curses, she turned into muffled gasps, swallowing the rest of her words back down her throat.

By the time it was over, light was already seeping through the gaps in the curtains.

Song Yunqi was so exhausted that she couldn't move a single finger. She was completely buried in the bedding, like a crumpled piece of paper.

His eyelids were so heavy he could hardly lift them, his breathing was shallow and slow, each exhale seemed to take a great deal of effort, his lower body was in a state of disconnection and stimulation, every joint and every pore was screaming about exhaustion.

Shen Chonglu got up and went to the bathroom to run the water. The water gushed for about five or six minutes, and when he came out, he had a hot towel in his hand.

He placed a towel on Song Yunqi's lower abdomen, then bent down and lifted the limp man off the bed, supporting his back with one hand and his waist with the other, half-carrying and half-dragging him into the bathroom.

Song Yunxi did not open her eyes or struggle throughout the entire process. When the hot water hit her body, she let out a muffled groan, it was hard to tell whether it was from pleasure or discomfort.

The water temperature was just right, neither too hot nor too cold, and steam filled the small bathroom, quickly covering the mirror with a layer of white mist.

Shen Chonglu squeezed the shower gel into his palm and rubbed it together. Then he carefully washed him, his movements were very light, and his fingertips barely touched his skin, as if he was afraid of hurting something fragile.

After showering and drying himself off, he wrapped Song Yunqi in a clean bath towel, carried her out, and placed her on the sofa.

Song Yunqi leaned against the sofa armrest, a bath towel wrapped from her shoulders to her ankles, revealing only her face. Her eyes were half-open and half-closed, her eyelashes were still damp, and her lips were even more vibrant than usual. The swollen curve of her lips made her face look both glamorous and tired.

Shen Chonglu squatted down and leaned in to kiss the man's lips, but the man turned his head away.

"Alright, we don't need you anymore, you can go back now."

Shen Chonglu paused for a moment, his lips hovering in mid-air, only two or three centimeters away from Song Yunqi's cheek.

He could smell the shower gel on the other person, sweet with a hint of milk, which he had applied himself and then rinsed off. He stepped back slightly, his Adam's apple bobbing, swallowing back his disappointment.

"Well, you're really heartless; you're just going to throw this away after you've used it."

Shen Chonglu sighed inwardly.

She hated herself for falling for such a heartless guy, yet she liked him so much, as if someone had her lifeline in their grasp, and she couldn't even bear to be angry.

Although the room temperature remained at 28 degrees Celsius, he was still worried that people would get cold, so he pulled a blanket over Song Yunqi, who was dozing off on the sofa, and wrapped him up in a tight cocoon.

Song Yunqi shifted in the blanket, finding a comfortable angle, and her breathing gradually became steady.

Shen Chonglu turned around and went back to the master bedroom.

The battlefield was in complete chaos. He tore off all the sheets and blankets, crumpled them up, and threw them into the laundry basket.

Then, I pulled out a clean set of bedding from the walk-in closet. It was dark gray and neatly folded.

He unfolded the sheets and spread them on the bed, his movements not very skilled but very serious. Then he put on the duvet cover and fluffed up the pillows and straightened them.

After doing all that, I carried the bedding from the laundry basket to the balcony and put it in the washing machine.

Then he took a broom and dustpan from the foyer and went back to the bedroom to sweep the floor.

There were seven or eight covers scattered on the carpet, along with a pile of used tissues. Shen Chonglu cleaned up all the trash and started the robot vacuum cleaner to finish up.

He returned to the living room, picked up the person wrapped in the blanket along with the blanket, and carried them back to the master bedroom.

When Song Yunqi was placed on the newly changed sheets, she frowned slightly, but quickly relaxed and sank into the soft bedding.

"Well……"

Shen Chonglu pulled the blanket up to cover his chin.

It was positioned right at the collarbone, revealing a small patch of fair skin and several deep red hickeys.

Song Yunqi's breathing had become even and long, her eyelashes no longer trembled, and her lips were slightly parted, as if she had fallen into a deep sleep.

Shen Chonglu squatted down by the bed and watched for a few seconds.

The bedside lamp was still on, its warm yellow light illuminating Song Yunqi's face, softening his sleeping expression and making him look completely different from his usual cold and aloof demeanor, like a meticulously painted picture.

He reached out, his fingertips hovering above Song Yunqi's cheek, not touching him, afraid of waking him.

"I'll be going now, goodnight."

After saying that, Shen Chonglu picked up the trash bag he had just collected, walked out of the bedroom, and turned off the light.

The morning light streamed into the living room through the French windows, casting a soft, pale golden glow on the floor and creating a long, thin band of light.

After changing his shoes, he caught a glimpse of an expensive pair of custom-made leather shoes lying on the side of the entryway. They must have been kicked off by Song Yunxi when she came in last night.

He casually straightened the shoes before leaving, satisfied.
