"Auntie, I've already thought this through, and Xiao Chu has no objections."

What else did Lin's mother want to say? An'an's crying could be heard coming from inside the room.

"I'm going to check on the children."

An'an never cries when he wakes up, and Lin's mother is worried that something might have happened to him.

"grandmother"

Lin's mother hurried into the room and saw An'an sitting on the bed, rubbing her eyes and with tears in her eyes.

"An'an, why are you crying?"

Lin's mother tenderly picked up An'an. Turning her head, she saw a group of people standing behind her, with the two elderly Zhou family members looking longingly at An'an in her arms.

An'an sobbed, "Grandma, where did you go? I'm scared. I thought An'an had been kidnapped by human traffickers."

When An'an woke up, he found himself in an unfamiliar environment, and his grandparents were not there.

That's why he couldn't help but cry. The thought that his aunt had been kidnapped by human traffickers terrified him even more.

Lin's mother gently patted his back, comforting him, "It's alright, your grandfather and I won't let human traffickers steal you away."

"An'an, are you hungry? There's a big chicken leg in the kitchen, how about your grandma feeds you?"

Grandma Zhou looked at An'an tenderly; An'an was so cute with her chubby little face. This made Grandma Zhou think of Pei Shizhou and Xia Yichu's future children, and her smile widened.

"An'an, call her Great-Grandma. We came here last time, do you remember?"

An'an looked at Grandma Zhou with a puzzled expression. He didn't remember what happened last time. But he recognized the photo of her hanging on the wall at home, a photo of her with his maternal grandparents, and also of the old man next to them.

An An was no stranger to them, and being a very outgoing person, he immediately beamed with joy.

"Great-Grandma, I want to eat a big chicken leg."

"Okay, okay, okay."

Lin's mother then introduced Grandpa Zhou and Zhou Wenbin to An'an. An'an was very well-behaved and called them out one by one.

Then, Grandma Zhou took his chubby little hand and went out to eat. Seeing that An'an was very affectionate towards her, Grandma Zhou wanted to feed him, but An'an refused, saying that he was too big for anyone to feed him.

"Our An'an is really amazing!"

At the dinner table, An'an ate with great relish, gnawing on a big chicken leg until her mouth was covered in oil.

Grandpa Zhou looked at An'an and said with a smile, "This child has a really good appetite, just like A-Zhou when he was little."

Lin's mother laughed along, "Yes, this child isn't picky about food, he's easy to raise."

Looking at their warm and loving scene, Zhou Wenbin felt a pang of sadness. If he had realized his own feelings sooner back then, he might not only have a son, but also a grandson by now.

Before An'an finished eating, Grandpa Zhou went to the cabinet and took out two boxes of milk, one box of yogurt and one box of milk.

"Come on, An'an, are you thirsty? Have a bottle of yogurt. Great-Grandpa has already put the straw in for you. Hold it and drink."

Grandpa and Grandma Zhou didn't know what the child liked to eat. This milk was recommended by Lin Qiujuan, the Zhou family's nanny, who said that her grandson liked to drink it.

An'an's eyes lit up when he saw the yogurt. At home, his parents would control his intake of these things and not let him drink too much. His grandparents also listened to his parents.

"Thank you, Great-Grandpa."

An'an took the yogurt and drank it happily. She finished eating until her belly was round and full, and even let out a burp, making everyone both laugh and cry.

"An'an, your great-uncle is taking you out to play."

Seeing that An'an had eaten so much, Zhou Wenbin was worried that he would feel unwell, so he wanted to take him out to digest his food.

An'an looked at Lin's parents. He had slept for a long time and was now in good spirits, unable to stay at home.

"Grandpa and Grandma, can I go with my great-uncle?"

"Alright, go ahead! Be good, stay with your great-uncle, and don't run off on your own."

"Okay, Grandma."

An'an happily took Zhou Wenbin's hand, and the two were about to leave when they heard Grandma Zhou's voice.

"Wenbin has never taken care of a child before, I'm worried about him, so I'm going with him. Azhou, take good care of your uncle and aunt."

Then, Grandma Zhou excitedly went over and took An'an's other hand.

"I'll go too. I ate too much today, so I'll go for a walk."

Grandpa Zhou also stepped forward, pried Zhou Wenbin's hand off, and pushed him away. He then took An'an's hand and, together with Grandma Zhou, happily led An'an out the door.

Zhou Wenbin shook his head helplessly, said goodbye to Lin's parents, and quickly followed. The neighbors watched as the Zhou family, along with a young boy, made their way out the door.

Curious, everyone went over to greet the Zhou family, praising An'an profusely and asking whose child An'an was.

I learned about An'an's background from Grandma Zhou, and I also learned that Pei Shizhou was getting married. The neighbor congratulated me before leaving.

Grandpa and Grandma Zhou took An'an to a nearby park. Zhou Wenbin took An'an to ride the carousel, and Grandma Zhou watched from the side, her eyes narrowed into slits with laughter.

Grandpa Zhou watched them from a bench nearby, occasionally offering a few words of advice. An'an was having a great time, her little face flushed with excitement.

After playing on the carousel for a while, he pulled Zhou Wenbin to ride the miniature train. Grandma Zhou followed closely behind, muttering, "Slow down, slow down, don't fall."

There were many children playing in the park. An'an's eyes lit up immediately. She tugged at Zhou Wenbin's hand and said, "Uncle, I want to play with them."

Zhou Wenbin smiled and nodded: "Okay, go have fun, your great-uncle will keep an eye on things here."

An'an ran over happily and quickly became friends with the other children. They chased each other on the grass, their laughter echoing throughout the park.

"It's so great to have a child at home."

Grandma Zhou looked at An'an and sighed. It would be a lie to say she wasn't disappointed that her son wasn't married. But Grandma Zhou didn't want to force him to marry someone he didn't like; otherwise, even if her son did get married, he wouldn't be happy.

"Mom, Azhou and Xiaochu are getting married, and I believe they will have a child in the near future."

Zhou Wenbin felt both guilty and grateful that his parents were enlightened and never pressured him. They would only occasionally grumble a few words, resenting his lack of ambition.

"Thank goodness for Xiaozhou and Xiaochu. Without you, I would never have been able to hold my grandson in my entire life."

These words successfully silenced Zhou Wenbin. He realized it had been over an hour, and it was time to take An'an back.

"An'an, let's go home. Your great-uncle will take you out to play again tomorrow."

An'an was having a great time when she heard Zhou Wenbin's words. She pouted somewhat reluctantly, but still obediently ran over.

Grandpa Zhou and Grandma Zhou also got up and walked home together. Along the way, An'an chattered on about the fun things that happened in the park, and the Zhou family listened with great interest.

Back home, Lin Xingyuan and Yu Mengxi were at the Zhou family's house. Lin's mother realized they had come to Kyoto in such a rush that they hadn't told her eldest son and his wife yet. She asked Pei Shizhou to call Lin Xingyuan and Yu Mengxi to let them know. Since Lin Xingyuan was free that evening, the two of them came to the Zhou family's house immediately.

An'an jumped into Lin Xingyuan's arms and said excitedly, "Uncle, I had so much fun today! I rode the carousel, I rode the little train, and I played with lots of other kids."

Lin Xingyuan smiled and patted his head: "An'an, just have fun."

"An'an, didn't you see Auntie is here too? I'm so sad!"

Yu Mengxi sat beside An'an, feigning sadness. An'an quickly got out of Lin Xingyuan's arms, carefully walked to Yu Mengxi's side, and gently touched her belly.

"Auntie, is your little brother being good in your belly? If he's not, I'll discipline him when he comes out."
