Zerg: The female warrior's male master is acting strangely!

Chapter 6: Is Yi Yi willing to live upstairs with her father?

Seeing that the little boy's emotions were gradually stabilizing, Manjushri gently asked him, "Where is our Yi Yi's room?"

His voice came down from above Heroiy's head, low and casual, as if he were asking something very ordinary.

He didn't even bend down to put the baby down; instead, he naturally pulled his arms together, letting Heroi lean steadily against his chest, as if he were about to carry him over.

Meanwhile, the insect in her arms was completely stunned once again!

Yi Yi?

When those two words entered his ears, he thought he had misheard.

What did the father call him?

Not the full name "Heroy"?

Not the indifferent "you"?

Not some menacing "little worm"?

It's "Yi Yi"!

He stared blankly up at his father, his eyes still moist from crying, unblinking. He didn't even know how to react.

Manjushri noticed that the little guy in his arms had froze again. Looking down, he saw that the little face, which looked so much like his own, was full of bewilderment.

He raised an eyebrow slightly, then immediately understood, and asked again earnestly, "May I call you Yi Yi?"

Heroyee's eyelashes trembled.

Can he say 'no'?

No, he can't!

After all, how could a baby insect say "no" to its male father?

But after biting his lip and thinking for a moment, he realized that "no" was never an option for him.

"Yes," he said in a very soft voice, so soft that it was almost as if only his lips were moving.

The father called him Yi Yi.

Yi Yi.

The sound of those two words made the antennae on his head droop again.

At this moment, he felt that the male father seemed to have become like the female father, and that he could "love" him.

After getting the baby's consent, Manjushri smiled so hard that his eyebrows and eyes curved up, the curve at the corner of his eyes was incredibly gentle.

He lowered his head slightly, his nose almost brushing against the top of Hero's head, and asked in an intimate tone, "Where is our Yi's room? Can you tell Father Xiong?"

Heroyi blushed completely at the sound of "our Yiyi," and her heart pounded faster than usual.

He couldn't quite put his finger on what it was, only that his father seemed completely different tonight...

But he had no time to savor the moment, because he had to answer his father's question quickly—it was an instinct ingrained in every insect's bones.

He quickly raised his arm, extended his little finger, and pointed to a door in the corner of the living room.

The door was in a very out-of-the-way location, almost completely hidden by the living room sofa and a decorative wall. If you didn't look specifically for it, you wouldn't even notice that there was another room there.

"There."

After saying that, Heroie hurriedly added, "Father, put me down. I can walk over by myself."

He spoke in a very obedient voice, his tone conveying a sense of cautious maturity.

He felt he had already troubled his father enough, having been held and comforted for so long, how could he possibly let his father carry him to the door again?

Besides... his current room isn't very nice.

(Last month, his room was on the second floor; it was a bright room very close to the master bedroom.)

But for some reason, his father kicked him out of there, and he was heartbroken for a very long time.

Fortunately, the female father had the robot insect clean the storage room on the first floor and even put on new sheets and a clean, soft quilt for him. It smelled nice, so he felt... it seemed okay.

Now, he keeps his room very tidy every day, folding his blankets neatly and placing his pillow in the exact center.

Although the room was a bit small, he liked it very much, and... he did his best.

What Heroie didn't know was that her father had no intention of letting her go.

Manjushri looked down at the well-behaved little baby in his arms; that face was just too beautiful!

Her fair face, round chin, upturned nose, and big, bright eyes were staring at him intently.

The worst part is that this face is exactly the same as his.

Manjushri's heart instantly melted.

He especially loves children, ever since he was little. He can't help but want to hug and play with other people's babies, let alone this baby in front of him who looks exactly like him.

So he naturally carried Holoiy across the living room and headed toward the door in the corner.

He was even a little impatient to see the little guy's room!

The baby's room should have wallpaper, a carpet, and be filled with toys and picture books. There might even be a star-shaped nightlight.

Manjushri freed one hand and pushed open the door.

After he could see the scene inside, he stood at the doorway with the baby in his arms, motionless.

The scene inside the door hit him like a hammer blow to the head.

This is a small space of less than six square meters.

Calling it a room is an understatement; it's more like a cramped and dimly lit storage room!

Nail marks from the original shelving unit can still be seen in the corner; these have not been completely sanded away.

The ground was a dusty cement floor, without even a floorboard; only a thin, old carpet barely covered the center area.

Against the wall stood a pitifully narrow folding bed, covered with a clean white sheet, and a pillow on a neatly folded thin blanket.

There was a small folding table by the bed, on which sat a dimly lit table lamp with a crack in the lampshade.

As for the windows?

Yes, but it's only about the size of a palm, located high up, so very little light gets in; it's more like a ventilation shaft.

Moreover, there was no wardrobe in the room, only a few neatly folded clothes piled up at the foot of the bed;

There was no bookshelf, just a broken pen and two picture books stacked next to the small table;

There were no toys, nothing at all that a 'child of this age' should have.

This is Heroi's room!

Manjushri's fingers tightened involuntarily. Watching this scene, he felt as if something was blocking his chest, making him so uncomfortable that he couldn't utter a word.

In his chaotic and fragmented memories, he recalled the row of spacious and bright rooms on the second floor of the villa, some with wooden floors, some with floor-to-ceiling windows, and some where sunlight could flood the entire bed.

Each of the rooms above is several times larger than this storage room, but each one is empty and unused.

And the adorable little one, Heroiyi!

I'll stay here!!!

Almost instinctively, Manjushri searched his mind for fragments of memory about these events.

Finally, he remembered something: last month, Yulis had thrown a huge tantrum for some reason and kicked Holoiy off the second floor.

The reason? It wasn't even because Heroiy did anything wrong, but because she was "annoying to look at".

When things didn't go her way, she kicked her child out of the warm, bright room and crammed him into this cramped, dark storage room.

Manjushri's temples throbbed twice.

In such a large and luxurious villa, how much effort and hardship must it have taken to find such a small, dilapidated, and remote place for the baby to live in?

Manjushri took a deep breath and then slowly exhaled.

He couldn't imagine what kind of feelings Hroiyi had on the night she was driven down.

No insect helped him, no insect spoke up for him.

He could only walk down the stairs step by step into the dark and gloomy storage room, and then curl up on the narrow folding bed where he couldn't even turn over.

Manjushri found it extremely ironic; how dare Yulis?

Isn't he afraid of being kicked out by the female ruler?

Or perhaps the female ruler didn't like her offspring either, so she let them be treated this way?

When Herroy saw his father holding him and standing at the door without moving for a long time, he suddenly panicked.

Why isn't the father moving? Why isn't the father speaking?

Is it that... Xiong's father doesn't like his room anymore?

Holoi carefully inspected her small room. The sheets were clean, the blankets were neatly folded, the table had been wiped, and the floor had been swept...

He carefully reviewed everything, making sure he hadn't been lazy and hadn't made the room dirty or messy.

Why did the father remain silent?

Herroy didn't dare to look up.

He turned his face slightly to one side, his eyelashes drooping down to conceal the unease in his eyes.

He didn't understand what his father was thinking. He had tried to guess many times before, but he had never guessed correctly.

If he guesses wrong, he'll get scolded, and if he gets scolded, he won't dare to guess again.

So now he stopped guessing. He stayed obediently in his father's arms, timidly enjoying this warmth that "might disappear forever."

Then he just waits patiently until his father speaks, and then he does as he's told.

Every second of waiting felt incredibly long...

"Yi Yi".

Manjushri finally spoke, his voice much softer than he had expected.

Heroi subconsciously raised his head and met his father's lowered gaze. The emotions in those eyes were too complicated for him to understand, but his father seemed... not angry.

Manjushri lowered his head and looked earnestly at the quiet baby in his arms. He first apologized on behalf of the despicable Yulis: "I'm sorry, Father, you were wrong before."

Then, sincerely ask him, "Would Yi Yi be willing to live upstairs with Xiongfu?"

Holoi blinked, and after receiving her father's apology with a blank expression, she immediately grasped the key point.

Move upstairs?

Does the father mean that he can move back to the second floor?

Can we move back to that bedroom that's "very close to the male and female fathers' room"?

His heart suddenly started beating faster, so fast it felt like it was going to jump out of his throat.

He didn't even have time to think; almost instinctively, he nodded, his voice carrying a hint of urgency he himself didn't realize: "I'm willing."

He is willing, he is willing.

It would be even better if we went back to his old room.

The room had a large window, and sunlight streamed in from the morning, warming the entire bed.

Moreover, that room was very close to the master bedroom, only a dozen steps away. He used to leave the door a crack every night so he could hear the footsteps of the father and daughter in the hallway!

Herroy's eyes lit up involuntarily, as if something was quietly reviving within them.

But he quickly realized that he might be acting too happily, which would make his father think he was being disrespectful.

So he pursed his lips slightly, suppressing his excitement.
