Zerg: The female warrior's male master is acting strangely!

Chapter 154 "Father, can we not go to Grandmother's house for dinner?"

When school ended in the afternoon, Wenshu and Lin Zhuoran stepped off the warship.

While standing at the school gate to welcome the little female insects, he sent a message to Heroion on his personal computer, telling him that he would pick up Yi Yi himself and that he wouldn't trouble the ancestral female.

Holoyen replied quickly: "Understood, Master. I'll hitch a ride on my mother's starship after I'm done. Remember to come back early, we'll have dinner together tonight."

Manjushri stared at the message for two seconds, then replied with a "OK".

He had just put away his personal computer when he noticed that Heroie had somehow run out of the school and was now standing hesitantly beside him, tilting her head back.

Heroie's little hand tugged at her father's trouser leg and shook it: "Father, can we not go to Grandmother's house for dinner?"

He spoke quickly and urgently, as if afraid that his father hadn't heard him clearly, and added, "I want to go back to our own home."

Heroiyi's biggest fear right now is going to her house in Sylland after school.

He didn't want to go there. What if, after dinner, Sirland supervised his studies again, and sat next to him with that little stick, watching him draw words? That was too terrifying, and he didn't want to go through it again.

He would rather have mosquitoes crawling on his ears during a field class than sit at a desk and doze off looking at dense text.

Manjushri shook his head, squatted down to look him in the eye, and said, "Not for now, unless Yi Yi goes back by herself."

He thought Yi Yi would pout and be unhappy after he finished speaking, but to his surprise, the little one's eyes lit up and she asked, "Really?"

There was a hint of eager anticipation in his tone, as if he were saying, "Then I might as well just run back myself now."

Heroy didn't think much of it. Anyway, he wasn't afraid of the dark or ghosts, and staying at home was much better than going to the Sirland's house. At least there were no bugs poking him with sticks.

Seeing that Yi Yi genuinely wanted to go home, Wen Shu quickly changed tactics: "Really? But isn't Yi Yi going to her field trip tomorrow?"

"It'll be more than a week! Doesn't Yi Yi want to spend some quality time with her parents tonight?" He said, reaching out to rub Yi Yi's head, his eyes filled with a gentle question of "Are you sure you want to go?"

Holoi stood rooted to the spot, her little backpack slung over her shoulder, her short legs shuffling back and forth on the ground, a fierce internal struggle raging within her...

After a long while, he finally made his decision, looked up at his father, and said, "Let's call it a night then, but!"

"Father, after I finish my field trip, could you take me home?"

"Why?" Manjushri asked, puzzled.

In his opinion, Yi Yi and Xierland clearly got along well, so why are they resisting each other now?

He was about to ask a couple more questions, but Heroi shook her head, her little mouth pursed tightly: "No reason."

He didn't want to tell his father that it was because of Silland's insistence on his studies; that would be so embarrassing, making him seem like a fool.

Just then, a large group of chattering little female insects surged out of the school gate and ran towards the warship in twos and threes.

Ayou emerged from the swarm of insects, carrying a worn-out backpack. He smiled and waved when he saw Heroie.

Heroie immediately let go of her father's hand as if she had seen a savior, ran over, and chatted excitedly with Ayou about the field trip, gesturing wildly as they talked.

Seeing this, Manjushri smiled and, not in a hurry to ask further, turned and walked to Lin Zhuoran's side, patting him on the shoulder: "How is it? Are the children almost all here?"

"Hmm, that should be enough," Lin Zhuoran nodded, then looked around to make sure no lone female insects were still wandering outside, before saying, "Let's go, let's go up and count them to confirm the number before heading back."

They climbed the gangway one after the other, the setting sun casting long shadows across the metal steps.

......

It was almost dark when I got home from the orphanage.

Manjushri led Yi Yi down the gangway and immediately spotted the starship moored in the corner of the yard—silver-white, with the military emblem on its flanks gleaming faintly in the twilight.

It's from Sylland.

Heroy saw it too, and her pace slowed noticeably. Her short legs shuffled forward, and the whole worm looked like a fat snail being dragged along.

Manjushri bent down and whispered in his ear, "Don't be afraid, Yi Yi. Father said Xiao En has already prepared the meal. Let's go in and eat."

Holoi looked up at her father, then finally slumped down and hummed in agreement, resigning herself to her fate.

They had just reached the door when Xiao En slid over to help open it. A hand towel was hanging on the robotic arm, indicating that she had just finished working in the kitchen.

Heroie dawdled into the room, and just as she changed her shoes, she heard Sirland's devilish voice coming from the living room: "You're back? Come wash your hands and have dinner."

Heroy paused for a moment, her ears twitching slightly. Her tone was not angry, like a normal greeting, which eased some of his wariness.

He immediately ran to wash his hands. After washing, he first called out "Father", and then peeked at the dining table. There were more than a dozen dishes on the table, and his eyes fell on the center of the table, where there was a plate of candied berries that he had casually mentioned were "delicious" last time.

Ignoring his son's relentless, almost manic harassment, Sirland, seeing Yi Yi standing there blankly, said, "Sit down, what are you standing for?"

As he spoke, he scooped a spoonful of sweet and sour berries into Yi Yi's bowl.

Holoy blinked, looked at the berries in her bowl, then at Sirland's face, before slowly climbing into her chair and sitting down.

He picked up his chopsticks, took a piece, and put it in his mouth, mumbling, "Thank you, Grandmother."

The sound wasn't loud, but Sirland paused for a moment while holding the soup bowl. He then put the bowl back on the table, picked up his chopsticks, and continued to add food to Yi Yi's plate. But after a while, the mischievous Heroyen also placed his bowl next to Sirland's chopsticks, indicating that Sirland would put food on Yi Yi's plate.

Sirland conceded: "..."

Heroie looked down at the extra piece of meat in her bowl, picked it up, put it in her mouth, chewed it, swallowed it, and said, "This is delicious too."

Sierland didn't say anything, but he shifted the direction of his chopsticks slightly and added a spoonful of steamed egg custard to Yi Yi's bowl.

As soon as Manjushri changed his shoes and walked in, he saw this scene: "The big one was expressionlessly putting food into the small bowl, while the small one was eating with its head down. The soup on the corner of the table was steaming, and Xiao En was standing quietly to the side, waiting for the master insect's instructions at any time."

Meanwhile, Herroyne stood to the side like a possessed ghost, constantly stealing vegetables from Sirland's bowl.

Manjushri: "?"
