Slow to mature after marriage

Chapter 108 Oh, the Wood!

Mu Siwan met the man's deep, unfathomable eyes, and for some reason, she was unwilling to think about it any further.

She lowered her head and bit his lip hard, eliciting a sexy groan from the man.

"I don't know," she said, her voice muffled, with a hint of despair. "Are you going to do it with me or not?"

She paused, then raised the corner of her eye and looked at him defiantly.

"Is it not going to work, Bo Yan?"

The car turned into the underground private garage of Muyan Garden.

The tires rolled over the concrete, their dull echoes reverberating through the empty garage.

The back door took a long time to open.

Bo Yan came down first.

His shirt hem was half-pulled out of his waistband, the collar wide open, revealing several red marks above his collarbone—fresh scratches from the kitten. He adjusted his cuffs, but couldn't get them right, so he just left them be.

The tall man turned around, bent down, and pulled a woman who was completely covered by a black suit jacket from the car.

Mu Siwan huddled inside the coat, only her calves showing—slender, white, with a red patch around her ankles, the chain around her ankles slightly askew. Her calves were still trembling slightly and uncontrollably.

Bo Yan put one arm around her shoulder and the other under her knees, lifting her up in his arms.

Mu Siwan didn't open her eyes, her face buried in his chest, her eyelashes trembling slightly, like a cat that had just eaten and was too lazy to move.

Bo Yan glanced down at her, raised an eyebrow slightly, and stepped into the private elevator.

The elevator doors closed.

The mirrored wall reflected the figures of two people. The man's shirt was wrinkled, and there were marks on his waistband where he had been gripped. Most noticeable was his chin—a clear, reddish teeth mark on the edge of his jawbone, as if some small animal had taken a bite out of him.

That little thing really went all out.

He looked down at the person in his arms.

Mu Siwan kept her eyes closed, breathing evenly, her face buried in his chest, revealing only a small section of her nose and slightly upturned lips. She looked as if she were asleep and knew nothing.

Now they've even learned to pretend to be asleep.

Bo Yan clicked his tongue lightly.

I felt like I'd put in so much effort and gone to such lengths, but I still hadn't gotten any information out of her—why was she angry? Was she jealous?

I didn't get a single answer.

We've lost a fortune.

When I got home, Grace greeted me with a swaying head as soon as the door opened.

Bo Yan glanced down at it, then gently nudged it aside with the back of his foot.

Mu Siwan quietly opened one eye.

"Don't be so mean to Grace." Her voice was muffled against his chest, soft as if she had just woken up.

Bo Yan looked down at her, a half-smile playing on his lips: "What, not going to keep pretending to be asleep?"

Mu Siwan paused for a moment, then struggled to slide off him. Her legs were still a little weak when her feet touched the ground. She squatted down, scooped Grace into her arms, and stroked its head gently.

"I wasn't pretending to be asleep," she said, her voice still hoarse and slightly guilty. "I'm just a little tired."

"Did you contribute?"

Mu Siwan nodded silently, her voice confident and assertive: "Of course I put in a lot of effort, after all, the effects of force are mutual."

Bo Yan: "..."

He laughed in exasperation again.

Oh, what a piece of wood!

He's really doomed for this blockhead.

Bo Yan turned and walked towards the wine cabinet.

His shirt was wrinkled, the hem half-pulled out of his trousers, and the top two buttons of his collar were undone, revealing faint red marks above his collarbone. Bo Yan leaned against the wine cabinet island, a wanton and lazy smile playing on his lips, his voice low and seductive.

"Would you like to try some of my other cocktails?" He glanced up at her. "Would a Bloody Mary be enough?"

Mu Siwan raised her eyes.

Her gaze slid from his face to his collarbone, from his collarbone to the red marks, and then from the red marks back to the curve of his lips. She paused, then, as if possessed, stood up and walked to the island counter to sit down.

Oh no, I've been seduced by a monster.

"I want to drink more."

"What would you like to drink?"

Mu Siwan thought for a moment: "Long Island Iced Tea."

Bo Yan: "..."

He looked up, chuckled lightly, and slowly asked, "What do you mean? You want to spend 100,000 to sleep with me, ma'am?"

Mu Siwan disagreed with this view.

"There is no law that says you have to pay to sleep with your legal husband."

Bo Yan nodded, gave a thoughtful "Oh," and the corners of his lips curved into a deeper smile.

"I see. So you want to get something for free."

Mu Siwan: "..."

Bo Yan chuckled softly, ceasing his teasing, and turned to take vodka, rum, gin, and tequila from the liquor cabinet, lining them up one by one. His movements were unhurried and deliberate; as he poured the drinks, his wrist tilted slightly, the liquid sliding cleanly into the glass.

Mu Siwan stared at his hand and suddenly spoke.

"Bo Yan, may I ask you a question?"

"What?"

"Why did you suddenly attack Mu Cheng?" She paused for a moment. "Was it because of... me?"

"You guessed right, thankfully you're not too slow-witted."

He pushed the wine glass in front of her, leaned against the island counter, rested his hands on the table, and looked at her.

"First of all, I want to apologize. I had a private investigator look into your life from childhood to adulthood. So... I learned a little about what happened before you went to college."

Mu Siwan shook her head.

"It's okay. I don't mind if you know."

That past was closed off and dark. She rarely thought about it, and never told anyone. But if the person who knew was Bo Yan—she actually felt that it didn't matter.

It's okay, because Bo Yan is a very, very good person.

Bo Yan stared at her for two seconds, then pushed the Long Island Iced Tea in front of her, his voice softening.

"I originally wanted to get rid of the person who made you unhappy and cheer you up. But I think I messed it up, Mu Siwan."

He bent down, looked her straight in the eye, and asked earnestly, "Did you go to Old Zhao's alone for drinks today because you were unhappy?"

Mu Siwan lowered her eyes in deep thought.

After a long while, she shook her head.

"No, actually I'm very happy," she said, "because I've finally said goodbye to a long-forgotten story."

She looked up at him.

"I have nothing to do with the Mu family anymore, right?"

"It's been over for a long time," Bo Yan said. "When you left the Mu family at eighteen and secretly minored in forensic medicine, it was already over."

"Because at that time, you had the courage to become the person you wanted to be. That's amazing, Mu Siwan."

Mu Siwan was stunned.

She stared into the man's eyes and saw no sympathy or pity, only a pure and earnest affirmation.

She leaned in, her clear, bright eyes gently kissing his lips.

"Thank you, Bo Yan."

Mu Siwan lowered her head, picked up the Long Island Iced Tea, and was about to bring it to her lips.

The rim of the cup was covered by a hand with distinct finger bones.

"Wait a minute." Bo Yan looked down at her, a smile playing on his lips. "How about we play a game?"

Mu Siwan looked up: "What game?"

"Ludo," the man said, leaning on his arms and smiling at her. "It's a very simple game, don't be nervous, it's just the two of us playing."
