After my birthday, the weather in London got better and better.

The days are getting longer and it gets dark later; it's still light at dusk.

After finishing a painting, Shen Yu'an stretched and looked out of the studio window, seeing Xize's car drive into the gate.

He ran downstairs and ran into Xize coming in the lobby.

"Daddy, why are you up so early today?"

Xize took off his coat and handed it to the butler: "Nothing much to do today, I'll take you out."

Where to?

You'll know when you get there.

Shen Yu'an followed him into the car.

The car stopped at a dock after driving for a short while.

Shen Yu'an got out of the car and saw a small tourist boat moored on the pier by the river.

The deck was covered with wooden planks, and there was a sofa and a small table at the stern.

"By boat?"

"Mm." Caesar led him onto the pier, first boarding the boat and then helping him aboard. "A night cruise on the Thames."

There is a driver on the ship, sitting in the wheelhouse.

Xize pulled Shen Yu'an to sit on the sofa at the stern of the boat. The sofa faced the river and offered a wide view.

The boat slowly set off, leaving the dock and heading towards the center of the river.

The evening breeze ruffled their hair.

The boat sailed steadily, and the buildings on both banks passed by slowly.

Shen Yu'an leaned back on the sofa, stretched out his legs, and relaxed completely.

The setting sun shone warmly on his face, and he squinted his eyes.

"It's so comfortable here."

Xize sat next to him, his arm draped over the back of the sofa, right behind Shen Yu'an.

He didn't speak, but he raised his hand and touched the tip of Shen Yu'an's ear.

Shen Yu'an shrank his neck: "What?"

"I got sunburned."

"No, not at all." Shen Yu'an touched his ears; they were indeed a little hot, but not from the sun.

The ship continued forward.

When passing the London Eye, Caesar slowed the boat down.

Shen Yu'an looked up at the giant Ferris wheel slowly turning in the twilight, the lights in the cabins already turning on.

"Have you ever ridden in one?" Shen Yu'an asked.

"I rode it once. A long time ago."

"Then let's go ride it next time."

"good."

Shen Yu'an turned her gaze away from the London Eye and looked at Xize.

The light of the setting sun fell on Xize's profile, softening his features.

Shen Yu'an looked for a few seconds and found that Xize was also looking at him, his gray-blue eyes reflecting the light of the river.

"Why are you staring at me like that?" Shen Yu'an said, her voice low and a little embarrassed.

"nice."

Shen Yu'an's face immediately turned red.

He turned his gaze back to the river, pretending to admire the scenery, but he couldn't suppress the smile on his face.

The ship sailed to the vicinity of Tower Bridge.

The lights on the bridge were already on, and the two towers looked very tall and stable in the twilight.

As the boat passed under the bridge, Shen Yu'an looked up at the steel frame beneath it and felt that looking up from below was completely different from looking up from above.

"Wow." He couldn't help but exclaim.

Xize chuckled softly behind her back, but Shen Yu'an heard it.

"What are you laughing at?"

"You look like a child."

"I'm younger than you anyway," Shen Yu'an muttered, but he wasn't unhappy and even laughed at himself.

After passing Tower Bridge, the ship turned around and slowly sailed back along the same route.

The lights on both sides of the river are all lit up.

The lights of the London Eye change colors as it circles in the air.

Shen Yu'an looked for a long time, then leaned back, resting the back of her head on Xize's shoulder.

"Daddy."

"Um."

"Let's come here often from now on, okay?"

"good."

"I come once a month."

Once a week.

Shen Yu'an chuckled: "Wouldn't once a week be too much?"

"not much."

Shen Yu'an didn't say anything more, just leaned on Xize's shoulder and watched the lights on both banks cast their reflections on the water.

The wind blew from the river, carrying the scent of water; it was cool but very pleasant.

Xize's hand slid down from the backrest and rested on Shen Yu'an's shoulder, his fingers gently kneading his shoulder.

Are you cold?

"It's not cold."

Shen Yu'an tilted her head slightly, just as Xize also lowered his head, and their foreheads touched.

Shen Yu'an paused for a moment, then leaned forward and pressed her lips against Xize's mouth.

It shrank back very lightly.

Xize did not move.

After Shen Yu'an shrank back, her ears burned terribly, but she still had a smile on her face as she secretly glanced at Xize's expression.

Xize's expression was half-lit and half-shadowed by the riverbank lights, making it difficult to see clearly, but Shen Yu'an felt the hand on his shoulder tighten and pull him closer to his chest.

"Give me another kiss."

Shen Yu'an smiled slightly, without saying anything, but this time he didn't hesitate.

He turned his head and touched Caesar's lips again.

This time, Xize didn't let him back. He raised his hand, held the back of his head, and pressed him firmly in front of him, deepening the kiss.

The boat was still moving slowly on the river.

The driver in the cab didn't turn around, focusing intently on the road ahead.

Shen Yu'an closed her eyes, her hands gripping Xize's collar, her whole body going limp from his kisses.

When they parted, he leaned against Xize's chest, panting, his ears glowing red.

"The ship... is still sailing."

"Um."

"They will see."

"I can't see it."

Shen Yu'an buried her face in Xize's clothes and chuckled softly.

His heart was beating fast, but it wasn't a frantic rush; it was the kind of speed that overflows after being filled to the brim.

By the time the ship docked, it was completely dark.

Shen Yu'an got off the boat, stood on the pier enjoying the river breeze, and glanced back at the small white cruise ship.

"I'll come again next time," he said to Caesar.

"I'll come next week."

Shen Yu'an smiled and reached out to take Xize's hand.

The two walked hand in hand toward the car. The lamplight cast long shadows of them, so close together that it was impossible to tell whose shadow belonged to whom.

The Thames looks beautiful tonight.
