Shen Yu'an was awakened by the sunlight.

The curtains weren't fully drawn, and a ray of morning light squeezed in through the gap, landing right on his eyelids.

He frowned, tried to move aside, but found he couldn't move.

He was completely enveloped in a very tight embrace.

Caesar's arm was across his waist, and his other hand went under his neck, encircling his entire head in his arm.

His back was pressed against Xize's chest, with no gap between them, as if they were stuffed into a shell and fit together perfectly.

Shen Yu'an's mind was not fully clear yet.

He blinked and looked down at the arm wrapped around his waist.

Xize's sleeves were rolled up to his elbows, revealing a section of his forearm. His skin was a pale, cool color, while the sleeves of his own pajamas had been rolled up, making his exposed arm noticeably paler, softer, and thinner.

He compared his arm with Caesar's arm and found the difference to be outrageous.

His wrists were so thin that Xize could completely encircle them with one hand. The difference in skin tone was particularly noticeable in the morning light. His pale skin and Xize's slightly darker skin overlapped, like two lines of different colors drawn on a white sheet of paper.

Shen Yu'an's face turned red instantly.

He tried to move, trying to break free from Xize's embrace, but Xize's arms were tight, and he couldn't break free.

He tried again, shifting his body to try and scoot out, but after only a few centimeters, the arm around his waist tightened and pulled him back.

"Don't move."

Xize's voice came from above, hoarse from just waking up, very low, as if it had rolled around in his throat before coming out.

His breath brushed against the back of Shen Yu'an's head, warm and making that patch of hair itch.

Shen Yu'an froze, shrinking into Xize's arms, her whole body tense and afraid to move.

He could feel the rise and fall of the chest against his back, the strength of the arm around his waist, and the warmth of their bodies pressed together.

It was too close; so close that he felt hot all over.

"You're awake," he said softly.

"Um."

Xize's chin rested on the top of his head and rubbed against it.

A bit of his beard was sticking out, poking at Shen Yu'an's hair and making him a little itchy. Shen Yu'an shrank his neck, not daring to move.

"Let go of me first... I need to wash my face."

"Wait a moment."

Xize tightened his arms a little, pulling him closer. Shen Yu'an buried his face in the pillow, his ears burning red.

He secretly glanced back.

Xize's eyes were still closed, his eyelashes looked very long in the morning light, his lips were slightly pursed, his hair was a little messy, and a few strands fell in front of his forehead.

She looked lazy and listless, unlike her usual aloof self; she was incredibly gentle.

Shen Yu'an looked at it for a second and then looked away; his heart was beating too fast.

He tried to move a little closer to the edge of the bed, and just a few centimeters away, Xize opened his eyes.

His grey-blue eyes showed no signs of sleepiness, looking at him clearly.

"Where do you think you're going?"

Shen Yu'an froze at those three words. He opened his mouth to say "I didn't run away," but before he could say it, Xize moved.

The hand that was around his waist moved up to support the back of his head, while the other hand gently turned his shoulder.

Shen Yu'an's entire body was turned over, from facing away from Xize to facing him.

The two were so close that their noses almost touched.

Good morning, baby.

After saying that, Xize kissed him.

This morning kiss was different from all the previous ones.

It wasn't a light touch on the forehead, nor a brief kiss on the lips; it was a serious, lingering kiss, warm from just waking up and husky.

Xize pressed his lips down, his tongue lightly touching Shen Yu'an's lower lip before slowly moving inwards.

Shen Yu'an's hand gripped the fabric of Xize's pajamas at his chest, her knuckles turning white.

His breathing was all jerked up, his mouth was blocked, and he could only hum through his nose.

Caesar patted his back gently with his other hand, as if soothing a frightened little animal.

They kissed for a long time.

It took so long that Shen Yu'an felt like he couldn't breathe before Xize finally let go of him.

There was a soft sound when their lips parted. Shen Yu'an's face was already flushed, her lips were glistening with moisture, and her eyes were both evasive and soft.

"Why are you running?" Xize's voice was still hoarse, but it was a bit steadyer than before. "Lie down properly."

"I can't sleep if you hold me," Shen Yu'an said sullenly, burying her face in Xize's pajamas. "My heart is beating too fast."

Xize chuckled, the vibrations from his chest reaching the spot where Shen Yu'an was pressed against, making his ears burn even hotter.

"Then I won't sleep."

"Why aren't you sleeping?"

"Nothing. Just lying down."

Caesar wrapped his arms around his waist again, pulling him back into his embrace.

This time they were face to face, with Shen Yu'an's face buried in his chest, and he could hear the steady, powerful beating of his heart.

It was steady, one beat at a time, unlike my own which was a mess.

Shen Yu was quiet for a moment, then looked up at Xize. Xize had already closed his eyes, his expression relaxed, and a slight smile lingered at the corners of his mouth.

The morning light fell on his deep golden hair, making the edges shine.

Shen Yu'an stared at him for several seconds, then slowly curved the corners of her mouth into a smile.

He buried his face back in his clothes, loosened his hands from the fabric of his pajamas, and gently wrapped them around Xize's waist.

"Sleep a little longer."

"Um."

The sunlight outside the window gradually brightened, shining through the gaps in the curtains and casting a golden line on the floor.

The room was quiet, with only the sound of two people breathing together, one deep and one shallow, slowly becoming synchronized.

Shen Yu'an closed his eyes.

This morning is nice.

After breakfast, Xize said he would take Shen Yu'an to a market.

It's not some upscale place; it's a vintage market in London on weekends, located in a hall converted from an old warehouse by the river.

Xize drove a more discreet car and told Shen Yu'an on the way that the market had everything: old books, old records, old cameras, old toys, all sorts of random things.

When he arrived at the place, Shen Yu'an found that it was bigger than he had imagined.

The warehouse was converted into a high-ceilinged space with rows of shelves and various stalls crammed together, selling a wide variety of things.

There were many people, including locals looking for secondhand goods and tourists like them who were just strolling around.

Shen Yu'an's eyes lit up as soon as he entered.

He liked these things; the old ones had stories, and each one was different from the new ones. He pulled Xize's sleeve and led him inside, looking at each stall one by one.

The first stall sold old records. Shen Yu'an squatted down and flipped through the vinyl covers, looking at each one individually.

Some covers were old, with frayed edges, but the designs were beautiful. He picked up one with a cover featuring a blue sky and a white house, and examined it for a long time.

Xize stood to the side, looking down at him as he squatted on the ground flipping through records, without saying a word.

Shen Yu'an looked at the record for a long time, then put it down and stood up to leave.

"Not buying?" Xize asked.

"You can just look at it; you don't necessarily have to buy it."

Xize didn't say anything, but bent down and picked up the few records that Shen Yu'an had touched, and told the stall owner that he would take them all.

Shen Yu'an was taken aback: "I didn't say I wanted to buy it."

"You've seen it, and you want it."

Shen Yu'an opened his mouth, but couldn't refute it.

Because what Xize said was right, when he was looking at the records, he was indeed thinking that this one was so beautiful and that one was so beautiful, but he just thought they were too expensive and didn't ask for them.

The stall owner put the records into a paper bag and handed it to Xize. Xize carried the bag in one hand and naturally took Shen Yu'an's hand with the other, and walked to the next stall.

The next stall sells used cameras.

Those cameras were all film cameras, heavy and old, with some lens caps even having scratches.

Shen Yu'an picked up a small silver camera and gestured with the viewfinder towards Xize.

"Don't move, I'll take a picture of you."

Xize stood there without moving, letting him take the picture.

Shen Yu'an pressed the shutter a few times, heard the crisp click sound, and found it amusing.

He then took two more pictures of a cat lying on a box nearby.

The stall owner was an elderly man with gray hair. Watching Shen Yu'an fiddling with the camera, he smiled and said that the machine was still very good and the photos it produced had a lot of character.

Shen Yu'an put down the camera, shook his head, and said he wouldn't buy it.

This time, Xize paid the money outright.

He picked up the silver camera and put it in Shen Yu'an's hand, saying that she could play with it and that there was a roll of film inside, which could be developed after shooting.

Shen Yu'an held the old camera, which was slightly larger than his palm, feeling its weight, and his heart felt heavy as well.

"You bought me something again."

"Not expensive."

Shen Yu'an looked down and fiddled with the buttons on the camera, his ears turning slightly red. He hung the camera around his neck, feeling like he had a new toy.

A few steps ahead is a stall selling old maps.

The stall was covered with all kinds of maps, some were street maps of old London, and some were world maps. The paper was yellowed and deeply creased.

Shen Yu'an squatted there for ten minutes, looking at an old map of London over and over again.

The street names on the map were different from now, and there were some streets he didn't recognize at all, but he could see the course of the Thames and find the area where they lived, even though the house might not have been built yet.

Xize stood behind him, watching him hunched over the map stall studying it, and pointed to a location on the map with his finger.

"This is where we live."

"I know, I'm looking for it." Shen Yu'an followed his finger and saw an area marked "green space" on the map, not yet a construction zone. "Your family hadn't built a house back then, right?"

"Yes, we bought this land later."

Shen Yu'an studied the map for a long time, carefully examining every mark.

He rolled up the map, put it back in its place, stood up, and said, "Okay, let's go."

After walking a few steps, he realized that Xize had not followed.

Looking back, I saw Xize taking out his wallet and buying the old map.

"This looks nice. Take it back, frame it, and hang it in your study." Xize rolled up the map and walked over, as if it were a trivial matter.

Shen Yu'an looked at him and felt that this person looked particularly different under the warm lights of the market. He didn't have the usual aloof feeling. He just looked like an ordinary person browsing the stalls and buying things for him.

There were even more stalls behind them.

There was a vendor selling small bronze ornaments. Shen Yu'an found a palm-sized little fox among the pile of bronzeware. The workmanship wasn't exquisite, but it looked rather silly.

He picked it up, examined it for a while, and then put it down. Without saying a word, Xize gave the money to the stall owner and stuffed the little fox into Shen Yu'an's hand.

There was a vendor selling old postcards, and Shen Yu'an picked out a black and white postcard with a picture of the old London Bridge on it.

Xize asked the stall owner to buy the whole box, saying he would take his time choosing at home.

There was a stall selling colorful glass marbles, packaged in transparent jars, which shimmered under the light.

Shen Yu'an glanced at them, and Xize bought two cans directly, one blue and one green, for Shen Yu'an to take back and put in the studio as decorations.

When Shen Yu'an reached the last stall, he was carrying two bags, a camera around his neck, and the bronze fox in his coat pocket.

He himself felt he had bought too much and wanted to drag Xize away.

But Xize noticed an old-fashioned music box at the very edge of the stall, with a little bird on it that would spin around when wound up.

He picked it up and wound it up once. The little bird began to spin slowly, making a tinkling sound. The tune was a little off, but it sounded very nice.

Xize held the music box up to Shen Yu'an.

Does it look like you?

Shen Yu'an looked at the little bird spinning in circles and felt that it didn't look like anything.

"It doesn't resemble it at all."

"Small."

Shen Yu'an glared at him, but wasn't really angry.

Because when Nishizawa said "little," his tone was very soft, as if he were talking about something he really liked.

I ended up buying a music box too.

Xize hung the bag on his wrist and reached out with his other hand to take Shen Yu'an's hand.

When the two walked out of the market, it was already dark outside, the streetlights were on, and the river breeze was blowing in their faces.

Shen Yu'an had a bunch of things in his hands, a camera hanging around his neck, and a little fox in his pocket.

He felt like a child being led around a market by an adult, not having to think or worry about anything, and someone would just buy him whatever he liked.

"Daddy," he said, walking beside Caesar and glancing at him sideways, "you bought a lot today."

"Mm," Xize responded.

"They're all for me."

"Otherwise what?"

Shen Yu'an smiled and squeezed his hand a little tighter.

The two hands, one high and one low, one big and one small, with different skin tones, clasped together very steadily.

On the way back to London, Shen Yu'an sat in the back seat, took out her camera, and snapped a couple of pictures of Xize. Xize was looking at his phone and looked up when he heard the shutter click; Shen Yu'an captured that moment.

"It looks good," he said, looking at the viewfinder.

Xize reached out and touched his hair without saying anything.

Shen Yu'an leaned back in his chair, holding a camera, with a small fox in his pocket, and two bags of records and maps at his feet.

He felt that this weekend was so fulfilling that he could laugh even with his eyes closed.

Once the film is developed, he wants to take a good look at those photos, especially the one where Xize is looking up.

That photo was well taken. It's a bit different from usual; it's not as cold, and there's a hint of being caught off guard by the sudden shot.

Shen Yu'an smiled as she thought about it, then turned her head to look out the window.

The trees along the roadside receded one by one, and a hint of orange remained on the distant horizon.
