We arrived in Tihou several hours later.

After spending time together on the island, everyone subconsciously returned to their own rooms. Xi Xi was exhausted from the long car ride and waved to Tang Junyao, indicating that she wanted to go back to her brother's room to catch up on sleep.

The room that Ji Hancheng had booked was requisitioned by Lu Jinnan's family, which was exactly what he wanted.

Xu Mingkai returned in Lin Yuan's car and was already waiting at the entrance of Tihou.

Ji Hancheng carried Xiaoyouzi in one arm and led Tang Junyao into the room with the other. Xu Mingkai quickly left after bringing their suitcases up, afraid of seeing something he shouldn't have.

After Xu Mingkai left, Ji Hancheng placed Xiaoyouzi on the sofa in the living room, turned on Detective Conan for her, and instructed, "Watch for half an hour, then go to sleep."

As she spoke, she took out a clock, pointed to it, and told Xiaoyouzi that she could go to her room to sleep when the minute hand reached a certain position.

Little Yuzu glanced at the clock carefully. Although she didn't know how much half an hour was, she obediently agreed to her father's instruction, "Okay."

After settling his son in, he walked towards the room. Tang Junyao was packing her suitcase. He went over and put his arms around her waist. "Wife."

Tang Junyao, who was hanging clothes in the closet, turned to the side. "Hmm? What are you up to now?"

Upon hearing this, Ji Hancheng smiled. He hadn't been particularly aggressive or restrained last night, so why were people thinking the worst of him? "Wife, I'm not a teddy bear, nor am I just an animal that thinks only with its lower body. I'm not in heat all the time."

Hearing his explanation, she chuckled, hung up her clothes, turned around, and slowly wrapped her arms around his neck. Looking up at him, their eyes met, and she pursed her lips, "So I misunderstood you? Who told you to always have such a brain full of nonsense?"

He's always making suggestive remarks and flirting all the time. How can you blame her for thinking the worst?

Ji Hancheng smiled gently, leaned down and nuzzled her nose, his eyes full of doting affection. "It's my fault, mainly because I have no resistance to you."

Her face flushed slightly, and with a smile, she tiptoed and quickly kissed him on the cheek.

The ambiguous posture remained unchanged for several seconds before Ji Hancheng came to his senses. His eyes were filled with affection as he said in a hoarse voice, "Wife, you're making me not want to go out."

Tang Junyao reacted as if facing a formidable enemy, pinching his waist in an attempt to bring him to his senses. "Ji Hancheng, have some decency! Your son is still outside."

The man, seizing the opportunity, smiled and replied playfully, "How about tonight?"

He leaned close to her slightly reddened ear and whispered seductively, "With you, I've tasted the sweetness and can never be satisfied."

After speaking, he stepped back, creating a small distance between them. Watching the woman's face grow increasingly red, he felt inexplicably pleased, and the first word that popped into his mind was "cute."

Some say that when you find a girl cute, you've already fallen for her. You've accepted all her flaws, even her troubles and tantrums, and you'll categorize them as cute.

Tang Junyao neither agreed nor refused, but instead hugged his neck provocatively, "Let's see how healthy your kidneys are."

The two exchanged a knowing smile, a smile that seemed to convey a profound understanding.

Ji Hancheng was in a great mood. He kissed her lips several times, then said in a hoarse voice, "I have to go out for a bit. I won't have dinner with you. You can eat with Xixi and the others. If you need anything, just call Xu Mingkai, or you can find the manager, or of course, you can find me."

Tang Junyao wasn't the kind of clingy girl who would become overly attached after a relationship started. She understood that men needed careers, and so did women. No matter how loving two people were, they should each have their own space. "I understand."

Only women or men who constantly ask others for money truly understand the importance of career to them.

After Ji Hancheng left, Tang Junyao turned off Xiaoyouzi's TV and asked him to take a nap. The little guy kept his promise and actually climbed into bed, covered himself with the blanket, and closed his eyes to sleep.

After leaving the house, Ji Hancheng went straight to Tiss. He pushed open the door to Han Yue's office and found it empty. It seemed that Han Yue had not yet arrived.

He sat down directly in Han Yue's boss's chair, took out a box of chewing gum from his pocket, poured one into his mouth, and chewed it slowly.

He leaned back lazily in Han Yue's chair, quite comfortable. No wonder Han Yue always liked to sit. Meanwhile, his hands were restlessly turning on Han Yue's computer.

The screen displayed a password prompt, indicating there was something he couldn't see. Ji Hancheng could unlock it, but he didn't, and listlessly pushed the mouse forward.

He propped his legs up on the table, leaned his head back in the chair, and closed his eyes, pretending to sleep.

About half an hour later, Han Yue slowly pushed open the door. Instead of striding in immediately, she leaned lazily against the door frame, looking at the man who had taken up the spot.

At this moment, Ji Hancheng had changed into a suit and tie. He had taken off his coat and hung it on the back of the chair. The white shirt cuffs were unbuttoned and rolled up halfway, revealing his tanned skin. His blue watch was exposed on his wrist. He exuded an air of nobility and aloofness.

It's hard to imagine that someone like that would one day be bound by love.

After pausing for a while, Han Yue still didn't step forward. He remained leaning against the door frame, slowly taking out a cigarette case from his pocket, shaking it twice to release a cigarette, putting it in his mouth, and lighting it with a click of his lighter.

Ji Hancheng knew it the moment Han Yue's footsteps appeared, but he remained silent until now, when he spoke with his eyes closed, "Intending to be a doorman."

Han Yue took a drag of his cigarette, tossed the black sweater casually draped over his shoulder onto the sofa, walked to the desk, and sat down on it, facing Ji Hancheng. "I'm giving you a chance to be king of the mountain."

Upon hearing this, he opened his eyes and looked at Han Yue, who was puffing out smoke and shrouded in a thin mist. "You've finished sending off your ancestors."

Han Yue replied nonchalantly, "You've already finished being affectionate with your ex-wife, so how could I not finish delivering her?"

Ji Hancheng didn't respond to that, but a smile crept onto his face. He chuckled softly, and the top two buttons of his shirt were undone, revealing clear scratches on his neck. Han Yue, with his sharp eyes, immediately knew what was going on. "Oh, you released your pent-up energy last night."

Ji Hancheng subconsciously touched his neck. "Any objections?"

Han Yue took a deep drag on his cigarette, exhaled a large smoke ring, and blew it towards Ji Hancheng. He then stubbed out his cigarette in the ashtray. "You're not messing with me, so why should I have a problem with it? You could go on a three-day, three-night battle and I wouldn't even offer you a word of comfort, as long as your ex-wife can withstand your torment."

Ji Hancheng kicked him with his foot, which was propped up on the table. "Get lost, I'm straight."

Han Yue: "I know you're normal, there's no need to keep emphasizing that I don't have a habit of watching live broadcasts, and there's no need to ask me to prove it."

Ji Hancheng: "Not good-looking, but with pretty dreams."

Han Yue glanced at the boss's chair and said, "You wish! Sitting in my chair, don't you want to become a mountain king? Like a fake Sun Wukong taking over Flower Fruit Mountain?"

Ji Hancheng: Do I look like a monkey to you? What kind of metaphor is that?

Han Yue changed the subject, jumped off his desk, went straight to the safe, entered the password, took out a file folder, and then closed the safe.

He tossed the documents onto the table. "Take a look."

Ji Hancheng sat up straight, put his legs down, and used his long, slender fingers to open the file folder. A photograph fell out, and when he picked it up, he saw a middle-aged man wearing black-rimmed glasses, who looked somewhat like a researcher.

The documents inside numbered 10. One document was about a man, and the rest were a detailed account of Chen Lan's interactions with this man.

He glanced at the data and scoffed, "Judging from this transaction history, it has been going on for 23 years. So this woman has been plotting to become Mrs. Tang for a long time."

Han Yue replied dismissively, "You could say that. This man is Chen Lan's distant cousin. He was originally a doctor in the hospital's laboratory department, but because of his lack of professional ethics, he often helped people with DNA testing in private. After being reported, he was fired from the hospital, which left him with a bad reputation in the area where he worked. No hospital was willing to hire him, so he went abroad to find another way. He's quite smart and understands the matching of chemical elements. That's how he became a perfume and aromatherapy expert through self-study."

Ji Hancheng: Once a talented person goes astray, he becomes a dangerous element. It's a pity. Greed is enough to destroy a person's original intentions and aspirations.

Seeing that Ji Hancheng didn't speak, Han Yue crossed his hands behind his head and lay down on the sofa. "Judging from the transaction records, Chen Lan's relationship with him is only financial and involves the purchase of perfume. It has nothing to do with the mother-in-law you're investigating."

Ji Hancheng's eyes turned cold as he stared at the documents, his gaze dark and icy. "Continue investigating, and keep an eye on my aunt, Shen Pei."

Han Yue lay on the sofa with his legs crossed, shaking them incessantly. "I'm now your subordinate. How much salary will you pay me? Pay me first, then I'll do the work."

Ji Hancheng's bad mood from a moment ago was completely dispelled by this guy's nonchalant and unrestrained manner. He teased with a smile, "What do you think my sister-in-law likes about you?"

I thought Han Yue wouldn't answer that question, but less than half a second later he spoke up, "Guess?"

Ji Hancheng's poignant reply was, "I can't fathom a girl's heart. A woman's heart is like a needle at the bottom of the sea. But my sister-in-law said that she's changed her deadline for pursuing you to just 10 days. If she can't win you over, she'll go back to Lan City to find a handsome young man. I heard from Yao Yao that Xi Xi is especially popular with boys in college. Plus, since people don't know she's the little princess of the Lan family, she probably has quite a few suitors. I wonder if she'll be won over by some boy after she goes back to Lan City."

Han Yue impatiently shooed them away, "If you're bored, leave after you're done watching. Don't disturb my sleep."

Ji Hancheng got up, patted his clothes, grabbed his coat, and walked out. When he reached the door, he reminded him again, "Opportunity knocks but once. Don't end up like me, regretting it too late. This is my advice."

Han Yue never opened his eyes, and it was unclear whether he had heard anything. His long eyelashes were constantly trembling, and if you didn't look closely, you would think he was really asleep.
