His physiological preference

Chapter 80 Unforgettable

Back on the 22nd floor, Yang Zhiyan entered the password and went into Qin Yuzheng's residence.

Six numbers were pressed one by one, and the door lock opened with a "beep".

The password was given to Yang Zhiyan by Qin Yuzheng on the day he successfully confessed his feelings.

Qin Yuzheng said, "This is the code. We welcome any organization to come and inspect it at any time."

They even joked, "The baby can come over for a surprise check-up in the middle of the night!"

Yang Zhiyan's ears were so hot they could fry an egg on them, and she said with her head down, "Dream on."

She hadn't actually been here many times; it was Qin Yuzheng who came to her place.

The door opened, and the aroma of food wafted out. Aunt Li was in the kitchen bringing the last dish to the table when she saw Yang Zhiyan come in, and wiped her hands on her apron.

"Miss Yang, the dishes are all ready. Please eat them while they're hot."

She uncovered the dishes one by one: steamed sea bass, sweet and sour pork ribs, lemon duck, stir-fried beef with celery, baby bok choy in broth, and a bowl of tomato and egg drop soup.

The fish is whole, placed on a white porcelain plate, topped with shredded scallions and ginger, and drizzled with steamed fish soy sauce. Steam rises from the fish, making it appear hazy and warm.

The sauce on the sweet and sour pork ribs was reduced to just the right consistency, glistening with oil, and each piece of rib was coated with the dark brown sweet and sour sauce.

"Aunt Li, please eat with us," Yang Zhiyan said.

Aunt Li shook her head, took off her apron, folded it neatly, and placed it on a hook in the kitchen.

"I have something to attend to at home, so I'll be leaving now. Miss Yang, just leave it there after you finish eating; I'll come back to collect it tomorrow."

She walked to the door, changed her shoes, opened the door, and turned back to say goodbye to Yang Zhi.

Yang Zhiyan stood in the living room, looking at the dishes on the table. She took out her phone and dialed Qin Yuzheng's number. It rang once and was answered.

"Baby, I'm almost back." His voice came from the other end of the line.

"Dinner is ready. We'll eat together when you get back," Yang Zhiyan said.

"Okay." Qin Yuzheng's voice was cheerful; it felt so good to have someone waiting for him at home for dinner.

Yang Zhiyan hung up the phone, sat down on the sofa, hugged a cushion to her chest, and waited for Qin Yuzheng while playing on her phone.

Downstairs, when Qin Yushang stepped out of the elevator, the motion-activated lights in the corridor turned on.

I'm looking for my key. Why doesn't Grandma install a smart lock like my brother's?

A young man in work clothes came out, holding a bouquet of flowers in his arms.

Pink tulips, wrapped in light gray paper and tied with ribbons of the same color.

"Hello, are you Mr. Qin Yuzheng?" the young man asked.

Qin Yushang nodded. Why did his brother order flowers? Never mind, he'd sign for them first.

He signed the delivery slip, and the young man left. Qin Yushang stood at the door, holding the bouquet of tulips, looking at the flowers in his hand.

The pink tulips, with water droplets still clinging to their petals, shimmered under the corridor lights.

His brother, that woman-repellent guy, actually bought flowers? How strange.

He looked down at the suitcase beside his feet, then at the bouquet of flowers.

His house has been uninhabited for months, it's definitely covered in dust, and it'll take at least an hour or two to clean. Why don't you come sit with your brother for a while and ask him how it is when he gets back?

Qin Yushang, carrying the flowers, entered the password and went inside, leaning his suitcase against the door. As he bent down to change his shoes, footsteps echoed from the living room.

When Yang Zhiyan heard the door open, she jumped up from the sofa.

She was in a bad mood today. Her period was already annoying enough, and then she got those two phone calls from Yang's mother and Li Fengxia.

Although she didn't lose in words, and although she outmaneuvered Li Fengxia, having such a relative is truly disheartening.

As she ran towards the door, she had only one thought in her mind: Qin Yuzheng was back.

She wanted to hug him. She longed for his embrace, to bury her face in his chest, wrap her arms around his waist, and snuggle into his arms.

She needed his body temperature, his heartbeat, and the sense of security Qin Yuzheng provided when he gently rubbed the back of her head with his palm.

As she ran over, she called out, "Zheng, you're back!"

She rarely called him A-Zheng.

Qin Yushang, who was bending down to change her shoes, heard the sound and before she could even look up, someone bumped into her. Her forehead hit his shoulder blade, her arms wrapped around his waist, and her face pressed against his chest.

Then everything froze. Qin Yushang froze, his body as if someone had pressed the pause button. The warmth of the hands on his waist seeped through his shirt, and he dared not move, not even dared to breathe.

He glanced down at the person in his arms. Her hair was tied up with a hairpin, revealing a section of her fair, glowing nape. She wore a light-colored shirt and a white long skirt.

Qin Yushang was still holding the bouquet of tulips in his hands.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say, "I'm not your A-Zheng," but before he could say it, the door opened.

Qin Yuzheng stood at the door, one hand still on the doorknob, the other holding a briefcase.

His gaze shifted from Qin Yushang's face to Yang Zhiyan, and then back to Qin Yushang's face.

The air conditioning is so strong.

From the time Qin Yushang could remember, he had seen his brother angry, seen his brother indifferent, seen his brother frowning at documents, and seen his brother subtly leaving someone with nowhere to go in the officialdom.

I've never seen his brother with that expression before. It's the kind of expression where he's struggling to control himself from killing someone, his facial muscles are completely tense, and a chilling aura is emanating from him.

The bunch of pink tulips was in his hand. His fingers slowly tightened, squeezing the stems until they released juice, and the wrapping paper made a soft rustling sound.

Yang Zhiyan heard the door open. She looked up, but the face in front of her wasn't Qin Yuzheng.

He resembled Qin Yuzheng somewhat, but his eyebrows were thicker, his eyes were bigger, and he had a stiff, forced smile on his lips.

She looked down at her hands, which were still wrapped around his waist.

She quickly pulled her hand back. She took a step back, then another, her heels hitting the steps in the entryway. Leaning back, Qin Yuzheng stepped in from the doorway and put his arm around her waist.

He threw his briefcase on the ground, and used his free hand to support her shoulder, steadying her.

"Are you alright?" His voice was filled with worry and resentment.

Yang Zhiyan was so embarrassed that she scratched the three-bedroom, one-living-room apartment with her toes. She kept her head down, not daring to look at him, not daring to look at Qin Yushang.

She just wanted to disappear into the ground. Her first act of taking the initiative resulted in something she would never forget. It was so embarrassing.

Qin Yuzheng's gaze swept across Qin Yushang's face. That glance meant, you'd better give me an explanation.

Qin Yushang raised his hands in front of his chest in a gesture of surrender. He opened his mouth, wanting to say, "She bumped into me herself, it has nothing to do with me," but seeing his brother's expression, he swallowed his words. Saying anything now would only add fuel to the fire.

Qin Yuzheng didn't change his shoes. He bent down, picked up Yang Zhiyan, carried her in a princess carry, and went into the bedroom.

The door closed. Qin Yushang stood in the entryway, still holding the crumpled bunch of tulips in his hands.

A few pink petals fell and landed at his feet, huddled together with his half-swapped shoes.

He was wearing one leather shoe, the other still on the floor. He stood there for a few seconds, then placed the flowers on the shoe rack.
