His physiological preference

Chapter 50 Boyfriend's Awareness

"Go ahead and have fun," Qin Yuzheng said.

The August sun felt hot on her shoulders. Yang Zhiyan turned and walked towards the mall.

Jiang Siya stood at the entrance of the mall, holding a cup of milk tea in her hand, the straw in her mouth, and a playful smile on her lips.

Yang Zhiyan walked over, she didn't say anything, she just looked at her and smiled.

"Have you seen enough?" Yang Zhiyan asked.

"I've seen enough, I've seen enough," Jiang Siya handed her the milk tea. "Do you know how long you two have been cuddling? I stood at the door for five minutes, five minutes! And you still haven't finished hugging?"

Yang Zhiyan took the milk tea and took a sip. It was icy and sweet, and it was her favorite red bean flavor.

Siya always orders red bean milk tea for her whenever she buys milk tea, and that has never changed from college until now.

The two walked into the mall. The cool air from the air conditioner hit them, creating a stark contrast with the heat outside.

Jiang Siya linked arms with Yang Zhiyan, and the two strolled from the first floor to the third floor, and from one end of the third floor to the other.

As Yang Zhiyan walked, she told Jiang Siya about what happened last night: how Qin Yuzheng confessed his feelings, what the bracelet looked like, and what he called her.

"What did he call you?" Jiang Siya stopped in her tracks.

"Baby," Yang Zhiyan whispered.

Jiang Siya froze for a second, then shuddered as if she had been electrocuted, clutching her chest with both hands and making an expression as if her heart couldn't take it.

"My God, that big boss who practically glares at me like that calls you 'baby'? Are you sure we're talking about the same person? The one in the white shirt, who looks like he's invisible, the one who made me feel a chill run down my neck when I greeted him and he just nodded?"

Yang Zhiyan was amused by her exaggerated expression. "It's him."

"Wow," Jiang Siya took a deep breath, "you've struck gold. This kind of man who's cold as hell outside but clingy as hell around you is a million times more reliable than the kind who's enthusiastic and nice to everyone."

Yang Zhiyan didn't say anything, but the corners of her mouth curved up.

The two of them stopped in front of a women's clothing store.

A white dress hangs in the shop window; it's fitted at the waist and the hem falls just above the knee—simple yet beautiful.

"This suits you," Jiang Siya said.

Yang Zhiyan glanced at it; the waist of the dress was very narrow, and the entire length below the bust was waist.

She never wore this style before; it was too figure-hugging, and she felt embarrassed about it.

But today, as she looked at that dress, a thought suddenly popped into her head: what would his reaction be if she wore it to him? She was startled by this thought, and her ears began to burn.

"Go try it on." Jiang Siya had already pushed her to the door of the fitting room, taken the dress off the hanger, and stuffed it into her hands.

The fitting room door closed. Yang Zhiyan stood in front of the mirror, looking at herself in a white dress.

The dress fit her perfectly, the cinched waist accentuating her slender figure, and the hemline above her knees revealed a pair of straight, fair legs.

She had never worn such a short skirt before. She turned around, looked at her side, and then at her back.

The person in the mirror looked like a different person. It wasn't the Yang Zhiyan who wore a cotton and linen shirt and wrapped herself up tightly, but another Yang Zhiyan who was bolder, more beautiful, and whom she herself didn't quite recognize.

She opened the door and went out.

Jiang Siya was sitting on the sofa outside the fitting room scrolling through her phone when she heard the door open and looked up.

Her mouth opened into an "O" shape, and she almost dropped her phone.

"Wow, Yan Yan," Jiang Siya stood up and circled around her.

"What do you usually wear? You wrap yourself up like a dumpling. Look at you, look at your waist, your legs, your skin—who are you trying to hide all this from?"

Yang Zhiyan stood in front of the mirror, a little embarrassed. "Isn't it too short?"

"Short? It's perfect!" Jiang Siya declared decisively, "Buy it, we have to buy it."

Yang Zhiyan glanced at the price tag: 2299. Her fingers traced the tag. Previously, she would have simply put it back without a second thought.

But things are different now. Without household expenses, I can afford a dress that costs 2,300 yuan if I grit my teeth. But what happens after I buy it? Will I wear it?

She had never worn a dress of this style before; if she bought it, it would probably just hang in the closet, and she would glance at it every time she opened the closet before closing it again.

"What are you hesitating about?" Jiang Siya noticed her hesitation. "Take a picture and send it to your boyfriend, ask him if it looks good. If he says it looks good, then buy it."

Yang Zhiyan blushed. "No."

"Give it to me." Jiang Siya reached out her hand.

"Siya..."

"Give it to me!" Jiang Siya snatched the phone from her hand. She knew the password. Yang Zhiyan's password had always been her birthday, and she hadn't changed it in four years of college.

She opened the camera, and with a "click," the photo was taken. Yang Zhiyan stood in front of the mirror, wearing a white dress, her waist slender, her legs long, and her skin glowing white. The background was the gray curtain of the fitting room and the warm yellow light, making her look both innocent and alluring.

Jiang Siya opened Qin Yuzheng's chat window and sent the photo. She typed a line below: "Does it look good?"

After sending the message, she returned the phone to Yang Zhiyan. "Wait."

Yang Zhiyan looked at the "sent" mark on her phone screen, and her heart suddenly started racing.

Qin Yuzheng, who had been dumped by his girlfriend, was reviewing documents in his office.

The approval wasn't finished by Friday, but it's needed on Monday, so I have to finish reviewing it today.

He sat behind his desk, twirled the pen between his fingers, placed it on the document, signed it, and turned the page.

His phone vibrated. He picked it up and glanced at it; it was a photo sent by Yang Zhiyan.

He clicked on it.

The woman in the photo is wearing a white, fitted dress with the hem above her knees, revealing a pair of straight, fair legs.

Her waist was so slender it could be encircled by one hand, and her skin was as white as porcelain under the fitting room lights. She looked a little nervous, her lips slightly pursed.

Qin Yuzheng stared at the photo and reacted instantly.

Fang Yinbin was still in his office at that moment. His boss had suddenly returned to work overtime on the weekend, and his face was cold and sour.

Fang Yibin wondered, "Could it be that my boss confessed his feelings and got rejected?" His expression and workaholic attitude confirmed it.

Anyone wanting to gossip would dare refuse a high-ranking leader's confession. But he dared not, fearing he'd die without a proper burial.

At this moment, I saw the boss staring blankly at his phone.

Qin Yuzheng's mouth opened slightly, his eyes fixed on the screen, and his Adam's apple bobbed up and down.

Fang Yinbin stood in the office, holding documents in his hand, unsure whether to go in or leave.

Qin Yuzheng snapped out of his daze and flipped his phone face down on the table. The movement was swift, almost as if he were hiding something. But his ears were red.

"Is there anything else?" he asked, his voice a little more tense than usual.

Fang Yinbin walked over and placed the documents on the table. "Secretary Qin, these documents need your signature."

Fang Yinbin stood to the side, watching the leader sign the document, not daring to say a word.

The phone vibrated again. Qin Yuzheng paused, glanced at the phone lying face down on the table, but didn't turn it over.

He signed the last document, closed it, and handed it to Fang Yinbin.

Fang Yinbin took the document, greeted his superior, and left the office. His superior's glare at him seemed even more intense. What was going on?

Qin Yuzheng turned his phone over, pressed the talk button, and said in a deep, seductive voice, "Beautiful."

Then he sent another voice message.

"Sorry, baby, your boyfriend wasn't considerate enough and forgot to transfer you the shopping allowance. The dress is really pretty, let's buy it."
