The chaotic energy surged endlessly like turbid waves, with various calamities of earth, water, fire, and wind intertwining and tearing apart the chaos. There was no up or down, no four directions, no yin or yang, no five elements; only chaotic turbulent currents washing away nothingness.

The primordial world floats suspended, like a precious pearl born from the primordial void. Its immense size is beyond description, yet within the chaos, it is still like a drop in the ocean.

It isolated itself from all the surrounding violent and chaotic energy, and the membrane of heaven and earth emitted a faint, clear light, as if it had existed since time immemorial.

A green light stepped out from the silver-white spatial gate, the leaves on the green willow in his hand scattered, the green-robed Taoist was panting heavily, his hair and beard were disheveled, and even the corners of his clothes were somewhat tattered.

He finally breathed a long sigh of relief the moment he saw the primordial world!

However, the aura of the primordial world had become so powerful that even he felt powerless against it.

The next instant, his pupils shrank, and a sense of danger welled up in his heart for no reason. Something seemed wrong with the space in front of him.

The green willow was quickly flung out, and the accompanying spatial laws were somewhat sluggish, but the Daoist's realm was indeed there, and the spatial laws instantly surfaced.

In less than a breath, he was already hundreds of millions of miles away, watching as beams of divine light gathered and silently shot towards the spot where he had just stood.

There, even the extraordinary phenomena of earth, water, fire, and wind did not evolve before it directly turned into nothingness.

"So it's Senior Yangmei. You startled this disciple." A dignified voice quietly rang out, and the starlight immediately disappeared.

The green light flickered, and it returned to the side of the membrane of heaven and earth. It looked at the void with lingering fear for a moment before it was filled back by the chaotic energy.

"Now that you have returned, senior, how about we go inside for a chat?" The voice rang out again. There were no stars around, but it was as if thousands of voices were merging together, layer upon layer, converging in one place.

Yang Mei's expression was solemn. As a Primordial Golden Immortal who controlled the Dao of Space, and especially since he had already broken through to the next level, he could clearly sense that those star-like points were not stars, but rather...

Did that kid make this?

In the distance, the purple palace shimmered with divine light, as if sensing the return of an old friend. It raised its eyebrows and slightly moved its lips before entering the membrane of heaven and earth. It wanted to see what kind of trouble Haotian was up to!

……

"Senior brother, what happened...?"

Before Yaochi could finish speaking, a look of surprise appeared on her face. A green-robed Taoist priest, seemingly already in the primordial world, appeared silently beside the Nine Dragons Incense Carriage, merging into the space.

"Haotian/Yaochi pay their respects to Senior Yangmei and congratulate you on your return!" The two hurriedly stepped out of the carriage and bowed to the green-robed Taoist.

"Get up." He raised his eyebrows and waved his hand, but his gaze did not look at them. Instead, he looked at the Zhuxian Sword Formation with a nostalgic expression and a hint of loss.

The saints were puzzled. They had never seen this Taoist priest before, yet the Heavenly Emperor bowed down to him and addressed him as a senior.

"We greet Senior Yangmei." The saints bowed respectfully. Although they did not know him, it was always right to address him as the Heavenly Emperor.

Yang Mei then withdrew his gaze, his eyes sweeping over the assembled saints: "After so many years, the primordial world has amassed so many saints!"

"The Lord of the Earthly Path?" He raised an eyebrow, his gaze fixed on Houtu. "Ancestral Witch, a descendant of Fellow Daoist Pangu, quite extraordinary!"

Houtu's expression changed slightly, and all the saints were also shocked. Who was this senior, who actually addressed the great god Pangu as a fellow Daoist?

Doesn't this mean it's yet another chaotic demon god?

Whether they used their divine sense or their eyes, they could only see that this senior was enveloped by layers of space, as if he were in the primordial world, yet outside of heaven and earth.

"Yes, this disciple is indeed a descendant of the Father God, and with the help of the Heavenly Emperor, I am honored to be the Lord of the Earthly Dao." Houtu's expression was respectful. She couldn't even sense the aura of this person, and the Heavenly Emperor and Empress were acting in such a way, so they must be beings of the same realm as the Dao Ancestor.

Those who rushed back at this time must be doing so to help the prehistoric world, and therefore deserve respect.

Seeing that the commotion from the Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation had subsided considerably, Haotian raised his voice and said, "Senior brothers, go all out! I'll introduce you to each other after the battle."

Sensing the commotion growing louder again, he raised an eyebrow and chuckled, "You little rascal, you really love making things worse."

Yaochi placed a wooden chair at the front of the wooden table and looked at Yangmei with a bright smile: "Senior, please sit down."

Yang Mei didn't refuse and sat down directly, casually asking, "Why haven't you attained enlightenment yet, girl?"

Yaochi looked sullen. "Senior, why do you say such hurtful things as soon as you return?"

"I have a plan, and it will be implemented soon."

"Your laws are overflowing; you are indeed not far from attaining enlightenment." Yang Mei nodded.

"This Immortal Slaughtering Sword Formation is something I haven't seen in so many years. To think that I'd come back and witness such a spectacle," Yang Mei remarked with some emotion.

Haotian waved for the saints to take their seats, and imperial thrones appeared behind him and Yaochi, flanking Yangmei on either side.

She explained the cause of the battle in a few words, then raised an eyebrow and looked at him with surprise: "You've really done a good job as the Heavenly Emperor."

"You flatter me, senior." Haotian poured Yangmei a cup of tea, which the latter only smelled, then said with a half-smile, "Alas, this humble Taoist dares not drink it; what if there's some cursed substance in it!"

Yaochi immediately lowered her head, while Haotian looked innocent: "What are you saying, Senior? Who would dare curse you!"

"That's not necessarily true. There are plenty of people who are incredibly audacious." He raised an eyebrow, his eyes flashing. "Why don't you switch to my sect, and I'll let bygones be bygones for what happened before."

"Anyway, I did intend to take you as my disciple back then, but old man Hongjun stopped me."

"Senior is too kind, disciple..." Haotian was speaking when his gaze suddenly stopped. He turned to look into the distance, where purple qi was rising from the east for 30,000 miles, auspicious clouds filled the sky, flowers fell from the sky, golden lotuses sprang from the ground, and all sorts of strange phenomena appeared.

"Lying high in the nine heavens, I found the true Tao on my futon."

Pangu gave birth to Taiji, from which Yin and Yang and the Four Symbols followed.

One path is passed down to three friends; two teachings, Chan and Jie, are divided.

The leader of the Xuanmen (mysterious sects), transformed from a single primordial energy into the Primordial Chaos.

"Show-off!" Yang Mei rolled her eyes, offering a sarcastic comment.

The sages, with their eyes fixed on their noses and their noses on their hearts, wished they could go deaf themselves.

The sound grew louder as it approached, and before the Daoist chant had even faded, an elderly man in a purple Daoist robe stood atop a cloud, glaring angrily at Yang Mei: "This humble Daoist thought you, old codger, had died in the Chaos!"

"You're not dead yet, how could I dare to die!" he said disdainfully, raising an eyebrow. "What, rushing here to back up your disciple?"

Hongjun snorted lightly: "What Haotian did was at my behest. Stop trying to undermine him. You only know one spatial law; do you think you can teach Haotian?"

Seeing that the commotion within the formation seemed to be subsiding again, Hongjun waved his hand: "You all continue, no need to worry about me. Hurry up and fight, let's decide the victor!"

For a moment, everyone inside and outside the formation fell silent. At such an important moment, the Four Saints breaking through the Immortal Slaughtering Formation should have been the main characters, but instead they were being disturbed one after another, and no one took them seriously. They couldn't afford to offend them.

That's really frustrating!

He raised his eyebrows and looked at Hongjun with a cold snort: "So what if you are proficient in the Three Thousand Great Daos? You still lost to me by one move."

Hongjun looked at him with a half-smile and retorted, "You had your head smashed by a ferocious beast in the Chaos, so it's clear that I won."

He raised an eyebrow and choked back a sob: "Without Haotian's Heavenly Heart Finger, you would have lost."

"No matter what you say, I have won." Hongjun smiled smugly.

Watching the two confront each other, all the sages bowed deeply, addressing each other as Master and Dao Ancestor, not daring to even breathe loudly. Haotian, on the other hand, felt a headache coming on. He really wanted to send a meme to the two of them:

Stop fighting. (GIF)

But fearing it would disturb the Three Pure Ones, he resignedly placed two chairs in the middle, and Haotian Yaochi sat down, separating the two on either side.
