Transmigrating into Haotian, ruling the Three Pure Ones and pacifying the primordial world.

Chapter 137 Jieyin and Zhunti Make a Great Vow, Haotian Intervenes

"this……"

Nuwa exclaimed in shock at the ancestral land of the human race, and Laozi's lips twitched as well. Was the path to enlightenment blocked?

The golden cloud of merit did not fall!

Haotian paused for a moment: "Not enough merit, perhaps!"

Nuwa created humans and became a saint, accumulating the most merit since the beginning of time. The Three Pure Ones established their teachings and attained enlightenment, but their merit decreased with each successive enlightenment.

Now that Jieyin and Zhunti have established their own sects at the same time, and even within the same sect, this is nothing new to the Heavenly Dao!

The Western teachings of Jieyin and Zhunti are too broad, and they encourage all beings to do good, which is something that nine out of ten cultivators in the prehistoric world are doing!

There is no other reason than that all living beings turn to goodness, which is to follow the will of Heaven and to protect Heaven and Earth, and merit will naturally descend upon them!

The fact that Heaven bestowed so much merit upon them for establishing such doctrines shows that they are destined saints.

A smile flashed in Nuwa's eyes. As the first to attain enlightenment through merit, she could naturally see the difficulties faced by Jieyin and Zhunti at this moment.

"These merits are only enough for one person to become a saint."

Lao Tzu nodded slightly. The Heavenly Dao merits he had obtained were more than those of Jieyin and Zhunti, but they were mainly for drawing out the creation merits deep within his primordial spirit. Jieyin and Zhunti, on the other hand, wanted to use these to ascend to the position of sainthood.

Even if he succeeds in attaining enlightenment, his strength will probably be at the bottom among the saints.

"It all depends on what they choose to do." Nuwa's tone was full of schadenfreude. "Merit enough for only one person to attain enlightenment!"

Laozi was startled, his gaze falling on Kunlun, his face turning ashen. Yuanshi and Tongtian were already laughing uncontrollably on Kunlun Mountain.

With his older brother gone, his two younger brothers have really turned the world upside down!

Haotian sighed softly, wiped his face, and looked at Nuwa laughing heartily, his eyes filled with sadness.

Senior sister, don't laugh so wildly, or you won't be able to laugh later!

Even I, who haven't yet attained sainthood, am going to lose face along with them!

Haotian's expression turned grim, and he looked westward with a determined gaze.

On Mount Sumeru, Jieyin and Zhunti were on the verge of tears, who could have imagined that this merit would not descend!

"Junior brother, what should we do?" Jieyin felt his head was spinning; they couldn't just stay in this stalemate forever.

He regretted it somewhat; he had thought too simply about attaining enlightenment!

Zhunti took a deep breath, his lips moved slightly, and Jieyin's expression changed. After a long while, he took a deep breath and said, "Let's do it this way. You and I, brothers, will share the burden."

The two exchanged a glance, their eyes resolute, and their voices rang out again:

"My first vow is that when I attain enlightenment, I will establish the Western religion, create the Pure Land of Ultimate Bliss, and deliver all sentient beings from the suffering of the primordial world."

My second vow is that when I attain enlightenment, there will be no hells, evil spirits, birds, or animals in my world, not even the smallest insects or worms, and all sentient beings will be forever free from all suffering.

My third vow is that when I attain enlightenment, all sentient beings in the ten directions who hear the name of my Western teachings will plant the seeds of goodness and will not fall into samsara.

My fourth vow is that when I attain enlightenment, the light emanating from the top of my head will be exquisite, surpassing the brightness of the sun and moon by hundreds of thousands and billions of times.

My fifth vow is that when I attain enlightenment, all people in my world will share the same good heart, be free from any delusions or other thoughts, and know each other's intentions before they even speak.

The sixth wish...

The seventh wish...

……

The forty-eighth vow…

The Daoist chants echoed throughout the primordial world, leaving everyone dumbfounded. They never expected such a form to exist!

If one's merit in establishing a religion is insufficient, then making empty promises is tantamount to asking Heaven for an advance payment of merit.

Nuwa's smile vanished without a trace, her face turning ashen. Laozi, too, was losing control of his aura, his eyes flashing with a chilling light.

In the Kunlun Mountains, Yuanshi Tongtian's smile was stiff, and he looked coldly to the west. Tongtian had already drawn his Qingping Sword.

No other reason than it's too embarrassing!

The wilderness was completely silent, which was nothing like what they had imagined!

The first sage in the primordial world preached to all living beings in Zixiao Palace and was known as the Dao Ancestor.

Nuwa created humans and attained enlightenment; her merits were the greatest ever since the beginning of time.

The Three Pure Ones established their religion and faced all living beings in the primordial world, yet the pressure they exuded was even stronger than that of the Sage Nuwa, demonstrating the profound foundation of the Three Pure Ones.

This is the saint in the eyes of all living beings, high above, capable of doing what ordinary people cannot, residing above all living beings, and guarding heaven and earth on behalf of the Way of Heaven.

These two have completely exposed the sage's true nature in an instant. How could a sage borrow merit from the Heavenly Dao to attain enlightenment?

Haotian rubbed his cheeks. How embarrassing!

Even the dragons around him looked at him strangely. He wasn't a saint, but he was his master's disciple!

They are from the same school, so when people talk about other people, wouldn't they include him in the conversation?

Haotian smiled wryly and looked at Laozi: "Eldest brother, please send me to the West."

Laozi took a deep breath, and a white jade bridge flew out from the Taiji diagram. Haotian stepped onto it and disappeared in the blink of an eye. Nuwa followed closely behind. She wanted to see if Haotian's strength would surpass hers after he proved himself through the merits he had borrowed!

In the blink of an eye, the three appeared in the western lands, on Mount Sumeru. Jieyin's face was filled with suffering, and an aura of compassion swept across the entire western land. He held the Jieyin Banner in his hands, and twelve-colored rays of light shot into the sky, illuminating all directions.

On the other side, Zhunti had her hair tied in two buns, each adorned with a flower. In her hand, she held a branch shimmering with seven layers of radiant light, its brilliance a mixture of chilling and desolate auras that lingered in the void.

The two men looked on with fanaticism as they watched as more merit descended from the void, mixed with the previous merit from establishing the religion, about to fall upon them.

A white jade bridge suddenly appeared, nailing straight onto the golden cloud of merit, bringing their path to enlightenment to an abrupt halt.

"Senior Brother!" Jieyin and Zhunti were furious. They never expected that someone would try to stop them from attaining enlightenment. As Laozi made his move, the void gradually darkened.

The attainment of enlightenment by a sage is an integral part of the grand scheme of things. Now, these two have already submitted their vows to the Heavenly Dao, and all the formalities have been completed. All that remains is for them to merge with the Primordial Purple Qi.

If someone stops you at the last minute, even the Heavenly Dao will be angered.

Lao Tzu gave a cold laugh, saying that allowing such people to be ranked alongside them as saints was truly a disgrace to all living beings in the primordial world.

Two streaks of light descended, and Yuanshi and Tongtian stood beside Laozi, their innate treasures trembling, as if they were about to fight at the slightest provocation.

"What do you want to do?" Zhunti asked, trembling with nervousness. Four Heavenly Saints had come here. If they were determined to stop the two of them from attaining enlightenment, they might actually succeed.

As for Haotian, they don't even consider him a threat, as he lacks the Primordial Purple Qi!

Nuwa glanced at the two with disgust. Sages act on behalf of Heaven and educate all living beings, but from these two onwards, the only thing the living beings of the prehistoric world will respect about sages will be their strength!

"Junior brother, you may begin. Don't worry, I will protect you," Laozi said in a deep voice, glancing sideways at Jieyin and Zhunti.

Haotian nodded slightly, flicked his wrist, and a winged copper coin flew out, bringing with it an overwhelming stench of money.

"Heaven above, I am Haotian. Today, moved by your vow to guide Zhunti to attain enlightenment, I hereby establish these rules of trade, using the treasure of the trade, the Luobao Copper Coin, as my witness!"

"From this day forward, if Jieyin and Zhunti do not fulfill their great vow, their cultivation will not advance even an inch!"

"If these two cannot repay their karmic debts within the Ten Yuan Assembly, then the Primordial Purple Qi will be returned, and they will be stripped of their sainthood. May Heaven bear witness!"

"boom--"

Thunder roared from the void, accompanied by the furious shouts of Jieyin and Zhunti: "How dare you!"

Haotian didn't even glance at the two of them. He saw golden light of merit reappear in the void, and a vast will descended, instantly blessing the Falling Treasure Coin.

The Falling Treasure Coin shot out three beams of divine light. One beam wrapped around Haotian, making him look happy, while the other two beams shot straight towards Jieyin and Zhunti. The bright red divine light carried an ominous meaning and entered between their eyebrows.

Lao Tzu opened his mouth, but then he could no longer suppress his laughter. Even Yuanshi, Tongtian, and Nuwa held back their laughter, maintaining their sage dignity.

The white jade bridge disappeared, and the merits descended. Jieyin and Zhunti glared angrily at the group, their aura surging, and the signs of their sainthood reappeared!
