Wen Miaomiao stayed in the hospital for observation for a week. After confirming that all her physical indicators had returned to normal, she was discharged.

Lu Zhiheng personally drove over to pick them up. On the way, Wen Miaomiao rolled down the window and breathed in the fresh air. "I hate being hospitalized the most in my life. I spend at least 200 out of 365 days a year in the hospital."

She was just making a casual remark, but Wen Song took it to heart, and his gaze towards her was filled with tenderness. "From now on, we'll take good care of ourselves and try to go to the hospital less often. If you have to be hospitalized, I'll stay by your side the whole time."

"Yeah, my mom is so nice."

Wen Song pursed her lips, and a blush quietly spread across her cheeks.

Perhaps when people are sick, they become much more vulnerable in many ways. She could clearly feel that Wen Miaomiao was more dependent on her than before. These past few days at the hospital, she kept calling her "my mom."

"Wow, my mom's here really early."

"Let me see what delicious treats my mom brought me today!"

"My mom is amazing! Her food account has gained several thousand more followers."

Although there was still an extra "I" in her name, Wen Song felt very satisfied. This was not just a change in address, but also represented that Wen Miaomiao was increasingly accepting her as a "new" mother.

"Of course, my dad is even better. Despite being so busy with company affairs, he still made time to pick me up from the hospital."

Upon hearing this, Wen Song's cheeks flushed even more. She turned her head to look out the window, pretending to admire the scenery along the street.

Lu Zhiheng noticed this and gave Wen Miaomiao a warning look through the rearview mirror.

Wen Miaomiao chuckled awkwardly, "There are no outsiders here, we only call each other that when the three of us are alone."

The results of Lu Zhiheng and Wen Miaomiao's paternity test should be out by now. Although Lu Zhiheng did not show the documents to Wen Song, his attitude towards Wen Miaomiao these past few days has said it all.

The president of a company practically moved his office into the hospital room. Except for going back to rest at night or attending important meetings, he spent almost all his time with Wen Miaomiao.

The day before yesterday, Wen Song was serving soup to Wen Miaomiao when he accidentally spilled a few drops on the back of his hand. It wasn't a big deal, but Wen Miaomiao became extremely nervous and immediately called out to Lu Zhiheng, "Dad, quickly take Mom to rinse her face with cold water!"

She said it smoothly, but Lu Zhiheng and Wen Song were both stunned on the spot.

Lu Zhiheng didn't say anything afterward, only instructing Wen Miaomiao not to address them that way when there were outsiders present.

Despite this, Wen Song still felt somewhat uncomfortable. Every time she heard Wen Miaomiao call her and Lu Zhiheng "Mom and Dad" respectively, she felt a mix of shame and embarrassment.

Wen Miaomiao has been feeling particularly sleepy lately, so she went to her room to sleep as soon as she got home.

When Wen Song came out after settling Wen Miaomiao in, Lu Zhiheng was standing in front of the photo wall in the living room, admiring the photos on it.

Actually, there aren't many pictures in total; most of them are Wen Song's profile or back view.

Some photos show her making desserts in the kitchen, others show her editing videos on her computer, and one even shows her eating with her cheeks stuffed full of food. She seems to realize she's being photographed, and looks up blankly with her dark eyes looking both innocent and adorable.

"Miaomiao likes taking pictures, and these are all pictures she took of me when I wasn't looking."

Lu Zhiheng turned around, a smile playing on his lips, "The photos are very well taken; every single one is beautiful."

Wen Song felt a surge of heat rising up, and his face quickly felt faintly hot.

Lu Zhiheng found it amusing and teased her intentionally, "I was referring to the composition and lighting of the picture."

Wen Song said "Oh," and realized she had been overthinking things. Just now, her heart skipped a beat, thinking he was praising her looks.

Lu Zhiheng had enjoyed her blushing and shy appearance for a while, then changed the subject, "However, these are just the prelude; all the details are to highlight the person in the picture."

Lu Zhiheng praised her generously, "Songsong, you look great in photos."

A hymn?

Lu Zhiheng had always addressed Wen Song by her full name; this was the first time he had called her so affectionately.

His voice was deep, and the word "Songsong" sounded strangely tender when he said it.

A subtle feeling slowly grew in her heart. Wen Song gently raised her eyes to look at Lu Zhiheng, and met his deep gaze as he stared at her.

The tenderness in his gaze was undisguised, so unfamiliar that it made her heart tremble. She hurriedly lowered her eyes to avoid eye contact. "Uncle, are you thirsty? Shall I make you a cup of tea?"

"OK."

Lu Zhiheng did not refuse, "There are a few things I need to discuss with you."

Wen Song gently placed the teacup in front of Lu Zhiheng and sat down properly opposite him.

Even though she was at home, she seemed unusually reserved, sitting upright like a student attentively listening in class. "Uncle, what's wrong? Please tell me."

Lu Zhiheng took a sip of tea and said slowly, "Given Wen Miaomiao's current condition, she can't be left alone for long periods of time. You and I both have work to do, so I think hiring a nanny is the safest option."

Wen Song agreed wholeheartedly. Given Wen Miaomiao's situation, if she went to work and left her alone at home for extended periods, she would indeed be worried.

After thinking for a moment, she earnestly suggested, "We can select a live-in caregiver with nursing experience and basic knowledge of cardiac emergencies. This way, she can not only cook and take care of daily life, but also provide initial treatment and contact the hospital immediately if Miaomiao experiences a sudden health problem."

Lu Zhiheng nodded approvingly, "That coincides with my thoughts. Then leave this matter to me. I'll have my assistant screen a portion of the list first, and you can make the final selection."

A subtle, indescribable emotion welled up in Wen Song's heart.

He clearly had the qualifications and ability to take charge of everything, yet he consulted her thoughts on an equal footing and placed her in an equal position to make decisions together.

This gave Wen Song a strong sense of disorientation, as if they really were a couple, sitting together, seriously discussing and planning for their child.

"Can."

Wen Song nodded, her expression slightly hesitant. "Then, can I split the cost of hiring a nanny with you?"

She actually meant to say that she was supporting herself, but her financial resources were really limited. She could manage for a short time, but it might be a bit difficult in the long run.

After she finished speaking, before Lu Zhiheng could say anything, she hurriedly added, "I know you are rich, and this little bit of money is nothing to you, but you yourself said that we should take care of Miaomiao together, and I hope to do my part."

Lu Zhiheng hadn't intended to ask Wen Song for money, but seeing her serious expression, he decided to respect her wishes. "Okay, we'll do it your way."

Wen Song was initially worried that Lu Zhiheng would insist on taking on everything, but she didn't expect him to agree so easily.

She breathed a sigh of relief. This was the best outcome for her. She had fulfilled her responsibilities as a mother without feeling indebted to the other party.

"Now that we've reached a consensus on Wen Miaomiao's matter, let's talk about our own affairs."

Wen Song blinked gently. "Between us...?"
