When Miya opened her eyes, the golden-red sunlight of the setting sun slanted in through the gap in the curtains.

wrong!

She grabbed her phone and glanced at the time: 4:30 sharp.

"Holy crap?!"

What time did she go to sleep yesterday?

Miya only remembered that after taking a shower, she lay in bed and first chatted with Hoshimachi about WW, then listened to several of Hoshimachi's arrangements, then searched for the Flower Ghost fan club, then repeatedly skipped through Little Ghost's recorded videos, and finally played with tentacles in bed until she blushed, and then she knew nothing more.

The last time I remembered checking the time was 3:30, no wonder I was able to sleep until the afternoon.

She almost tripped over her own slippers when she jumped out of bed, rushed into the bathroom, splashed cold water on her face, and looked up at the mirror.

The girl in the mirror had short, light-gold hair that stood on end in all directions, with a tuft of hair curled up on top of her head, like a small flower peeking out from a snowdrift in the sunlight.

She turned on the tap, wet her hands, and pressed down hard. The water bounced back up as she pressed down. After repeating this several times, her hair finally managed to stay flat a little. Although the ends of her hair were still a bit sticking up, it actually looked quite stylish.

After washing up, I went back to bed and lay there for a while. After all, there was really nothing to do, no classes, and the astrology club hadn't arranged a meeting for today.

So Miya opened the food delivery app and randomly ordered a fried chicken set meal. While waiting for the delivery, she checked MikuFans and found that the number of fans of the Ghost Flower Fan Club had increased by several hundred, and the number of views for the recorded broadcast of the radio station had entered the top three in the entire site's music section.

When the takeout arrived, Mi Ye sat at the table, opened the box of fried chicken, and proudly showed off the fried chicken with iced cola.

As she ate, she habitually pinched the flesh on her stomach.

It's so bitter, it reminds me of those candied hawthorns in the game that wouldn't make me fat.

After finishing eating and washing my hands, I opened the wardrobe and started picking out clothes.

I'm going to Guling tonight to discuss serious business, so I need to dress presentably.

Mi Ye flipped through the new clothes she had bought online a few days ago: a white down jacket, a pair of dark, wide, off-white trousers, and light pink sneakers.

After putting it on, she stood in front of the mirror and examined herself. She turned to the side and struck a cool pose, her cute eyes sparkling in the mirror.

"That's so me!"

She glanced at her wallet and saw she had a little over five thousand left. Although she was a bit strapped for cash, once she finished this job, Loren could have as much as she wanted based on the popularity points exchange rate.

When she pushed open the dormitory building door, she found that the snow that had been falling for several days had finally stopped, and the sky had been washed clean into a gray-blue color.

The setting sun peeked through the edge of the western clouds, turning the remaining snow on the main campus road a pale gold.

The road surface was thoroughly cleaned by the sweeper, with only some partially melted snow piled up at the edges, which were not slippery to walk on.

The air was still a bit chilly, but breathing it into my lungs felt like a mint candy melting in my mouth.

Miya stood by the main road at the school gate, pulling her scarf up to cover half of her face, leaving only the tip of her nose and her eyes visible.

I took out my phone and checked the time. It was 6:30, half an hour before our agreed time of 7:00.

She leaned against the railing next to the bus stop sign, scrolling through MikuFans. The warm yellow sunset sunlight fell on the white fabric of her down jacket, turning the matte white into a light cream color.

Miya wasn't wearing her cat-ear hat today. Her light golden short hair swayed gently in the breeze, and the few strands at the ends that couldn't be suppressed looked even more handsome in the sunset.

The little witches who were coming in and out of the school gate gradually slowed down when they saw Miya.

Several young witches in the Moon Forest school uniform squatted behind a peach tree. One of them tugged at another's sleeve and whispered, "Is that Sister Miya?" The other covered her mouth with her hand and replied, "She's even prettier in person than in the live stream."

Miya was so engrossed in browsing the newly uploaded collection of flower ghost clips on MikuFans that she was completely unaware that she had become the center of attention at the school gate.

Around 6:40, a deep engine sound came from the end of the road.

The little witches at the school gate all turned their heads toward the source of the sound, and then everyone fell silent.

A dark blue convertible sports car was driving along the main road of Moon Forest. Its body reflected a flowing luster in the setting sun, like a layer of liquid metal being evenly coated on the car body.

With the convertible top down, the girl in the driver's seat had one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the top edge of the door, her long, dark blue hair stretched into a straight line by the wind behind her.

The sports car came to a precise stop in front of Miya. Hoshimachi, in the driver's seat, pushed his sunglasses up and put them on his forehead, a few strands of his dark blue high ponytail falling down to his cheeks.

She was wearing a neatly tailored, plain blue trench coat. She turned her head to look at Mi Ye, who was holding her phone in a daze, and smiled gently.

"Get in the car."

The little witches watching at the school gate were completely dumbfounded.

"This car is so cool, wow!"

"Is that Miya's mother? Is her family that rich?"

"Wait a minute, that driver looks like Hoshimachi!"

"Hoshimachi?! The Hoshimachi from Midnight Sun?"

"Seriously? Don't joke around!"

It took Miya a while to realize that the girl in front of her was Hoshimachi.

She carefully put her phone into her down jacket pocket before opening the car door and getting into the passenger seat.

Hoshimachi glanced at her, looked her up and down, then smiled and turned back.

"Is your seatbelt fastened?"

"Uh, it's tied."

The sports car's engine roared, and the car smoothly glided out of the driveway at the school gate, turning onto the main road and starting to accelerate.

Mi Ye's back was gently pressed into the seat back by inertia, and the peach trees and street lampposts on both sides of the road quickly receded into blurry light and shadow.

She gripped the seatbelt tightly and then glanced back.

In the rearview mirror, the setting sun dyed the entire main road of Moon Forest into a golden-red river.

The flowing light carried them into the city at dusk, and they soon left the Moon Forest where the twilight was deepening.
