In front of Superman, you have no choice but to give yourself to a little girl.

Chapter 11 Devouring Star: Children, I'm finally not hungry!

After completing their interstellar journey using the warp drive, the group located their target location—a giant green planet—based on the Silver Surfer's energy trajectory.

Is that the place?

Reed stared at the planet with a furrowed brow. "The Galactus is on there?"

"Everyone, proceed according to plan!"

Steve took a deep breath, picked up his shield, and prepared to face the possibility of an unknown enemy.

"Wait a minute, something's not right!"

Tony, who was wearing armor instead of a spacesuit, suddenly received a warning from Jarvis: "The planet's internal heat source is constantly...wait? It's going to explode?!"

"Guys, come and see!"

Johnny's voice drew everyone's attention, and they saw that one side of the planet was beginning to collapse!

There was no explosion, only continuous collapse!

The spaceship was also pulled towards that planet by that terrifying suction force!

"Susan! Use the force field to protect the spaceship!"

"Thor! Go outside and carry the spaceship!"

Reed and Steve instinctively issued the command.

Neither Susan nor Saul refuted this.

Susan used an energy field to protect the spaceship from a meteorite collision.

Thor even went outside the spaceship, used his divine power to lift the ship, and wielded Mjolnir to unleash lightning that shattered the surrounding meteorites.

Ben couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow, I like that guy."

Pym instinctively reminded him, "Um, Thor has a girlfriend."

"I have a girlfriend too!"

Realizing he had been misunderstood, he quickly tried to explain.

"Hey guys, stop arguing and come look at this."

Tony beckoned everyone to look in the direction of that planet, which was even larger than Earth, and saw that it had now completely turned into cosmic dust!

All of this happened in the blink of an eye!

Silence fell over the spaceship.

Johnny chuckled, "At least our suspicions have been confirmed, haven't they? He really can destroy planets."

Steve glanced at the face that was exactly like his own, feeling a mix of emotions. He wasn't used to seeing "himself" making fun of him. "I'd rather it was just a guess."

"Wait, what's that?"

Inside Tony's mask, Jarvis magnified the distant cosmic dust, revealing a colossal object hidden within. "Is that... a spaceship?"

Just as Tony's attention was drawn to the spaceship, the thunder outside caught the attention of the others.

"Thor got into a fight?!"

Janet's exclamation brought everyone to their senses. Outside the spaceship, the Silver Surfer had returned at some point, but Thor had stopped him.

What surprised everyone even more was that the Silver Surfer actually gained the upper hand when facing Thor!

"Wait! Thor!"

Firmly believing that violence is not the only solution, Pym contacted Saul via communicator, "Let's hear what he has to say!"

Upon hearing this, Thor recalled Mjolnir. He had just seen the Silver Surfer trying to pass through the wall into the spaceship and immediately attacked, seemingly without having heard what the other man had said.

Silver Surfer, however, remained unperturbed, his expression seemingly devoid of emotion. "The great Galactus wants to see you."

The unexpected words caused everyone to exchange glances instinctively.

Steve nodded to the Silver Surfer. "Please lead the way."

Negotiating with Galactus was their primary objective for this trip, and it would be even better if they could successfully meet Galactus.

Thor carried the spaceship and followed behind the Silver Surfer.

It was only upon closer inspection that everyone realized Tony's assessment was correct; it was indeed a spaceship! And an extremely large one at that!

Once inside the giant spaceship, everyone disembarked and followed behind the Silver Surfer.

Tony opened his mask and looked around in surprise. "There's oxygen here?"

Janet asked the Silver Surfer curiously, "Why would Galactus target Earth?"

Upon hearing this, the Silver Surfer remained silent for a moment before slowly speaking, "He makes no choice."

Banner turned sharply to look at the Silver Surfer in disbelief. "You chose him?!"

Silver Surfer remained silent, a hint of guilt seemingly flickering across his emotionless face.

If someone hadn't stopped them, hot-tempered Johnny and Thor would have jumped in and started beating them up.

Steve remained silent throughout. Through information from Wayne and Thor, he learned that the Galactus was an ancient life form that existed since the very beginning of this universe. Rather than a living organism, Galactus was more like a cosmic phenomenon, and the Galactus's devouring of planets was a normal phenomenon in the development of the universe.

But Steve still found it hard to accept. After all, many of the planets that Galactus devoured contained life. To completely destroy the life of a planet just because of one decision was a huge blow to his values.

Follow the Silver Surfer all the way to the depths of the giant spaceship.

"Hey guys?"

Tony looked at the ever-increasing estimated energy level on the energy data monitor provided by Jarvis with some disbelief.

"Um...where is Galactus?"

Janet glanced around; there was no one there.

At that moment, an ancient and magnificent roar echoed around them. Everyone subconsciously looked up and saw two dazzling purple points of light, like miniature stars, slowly emerge—only then did they realize that they were the eyes of the planet devourer!

Realizing this, everyone looked more closely and saw that the exposed upper body of the planet devourer was over a hundred meters tall!

"Are you here to beg for mercy?"

The planet devourer coldly stared at the astonished crowd and slowly spoke.

"No, Galactus, we're here to negotiate."

Steve snapped out of his daze, met Galactus's gaze, and took two steps forward.

The Galactus smirked, a sinister grin spreading across its face. "What right do you have to negotiate with me?"

"I know you need energy, and you exist to balance the universe, but the billions of life forms on Earth also have the right to survive. Perhaps we can find ways to replenish energy without destroying the planet."

Steve ignored Galactus's disdain and gestured for him to look at Tony and the others. "We have excellent scientists. If you wish, scientists on Earth will do everything in their power to find other energy sources for you. Destruction should not be the only option."

Reed gave Steve a long look.

Galactus scoffed, "What do you know?"

Ever since becoming an abstract entity, that feeling of hunger has haunted him like a curse.

Although the cosmic tapeworm inside him was born as his daughter some time ago, which greatly relieved his hunger, and after recently devouring many planets, he is no longer very hungry.

But devouring planets remains one of the important ways to maintain the stability of the universe; the hunger will eventually return, and he will not stop devouring.

Otherwise, why doesn't he just go and steal the energy from those dimensional demons?

He wasn't some random roadside creature if he wasn't starving.
