Baroque cub camp.

I never support idlers.

After witnessing the little sparrow display extraordinary electronic talent.

The one-eyed thug stroked his stubble.

He grinned, revealing a ferocious smile:

"Oh shit"

"It seems that a few promising talents have emerged from my area."

"good!"

"Then you all need to train like crazy!"

"Train yourself into an all-around monster!"

"That's my good son!"

And so! A comprehensive, hellish special training program targeting Zero, Little Sparrow, Iron Pit, and Cold Thorn was launched like a precise and cruel machine.

Act One: An Immersive Experience of Baroque Language

The first area to be strengthened is language and culture.

Baroque knew that a first-rate war machine must be able to blend into any environment, understand the conversations of its prey, and even issue death announcements in the language of its prey.

The teacher he "invited" was a pale-faced, shifty-eyed former diplomat.

He was hunted down by multiple parties for leaking secrets, and adopted the alias "Nightingale".

This person is fluent in at least eight languages.

The teaching method is extremely "Baroque".

In the basement, four children were tied to chairs.

Eyes were shone with bright light, and ears were filled with deafening, looping multilingual audio—

English news broadcasts.

Russian military instructions.

Arabic everyday conversation.

Spanish pop songs…loud volume, switching randomly.

"Listen to me! I'll listen even if it makes my ears bleed!"

Baroque roared from the side, "When can we hum along like that? When will we get food to eat?!"

The lark, meanwhile, stood by, delivering precise blows in a cold tone:

"English! 'Ambush'! Not 'Ambush'! Tongue against the upper gum! Explosion!"

"Russian! 'Товарищ' (comrade)! A guttural sound! Is your throat just an ornament?!"

"Arabic! 'العدو' (enemy)! A guttural sound! Like coughing up phlegm! Yes! Just like that!"

He held a thin, long pointer in his hand, and if he noticed anyone not paying attention or pronouncing something out of place, he would immediately lash them out. It wouldn't hurt their bones, but it would be extremely painful.

Zero learns the fastest.

His brain, honed by the drugs and extreme environments of Xueyan, absorbs and processes information at an astonishing speed.

He can not only quickly imitate pronunciation, but he has even begun to subconsciously analyze grammatical structures.

On the third day, he was able to clearly repeat a complex Russian military instruction despite the strong noise interference.

The little sparrow, however, displayed a different kind of talent.

She is extremely sensitive to the frequency of sound and can capture the tonal fluctuations of language as if recording electronic signals.

Although his grammar was terrible, his accent imitations were almost indistinguishable from the real thing, and he was especially good at imitating various dialects and colloquialisms.

Iron Block suffered the most; his brain was better suited to processing intuitive mechanics.

He struggles with abstract symbol systems and often gets beaten up for saying "Sank you" instead of "Thank you".

Cold Thorn remained silent as always.

But his sharp eyes were fixed on the lark's mouth movements, silently mimicking them.

His pronunciation was accurate but lacked emotion, sounding like a machine repeating itself.

Mealtime became a practical lesson.

Before each meal, you must say the name of the food in a designated language and a designated sentence (such as "This bread is as hard as a rock").

If you say something wrong, you won't get any food.

The children frantically memorized and practiced for that meager amount of food, even reciting foreign words in their dreams.

Act Two: The Silent Theory Lesson – The Art and Philosophy of Killing.

During breaks in language classes, a shadow of silence hangs over the classroom.

He doesn't teach specific movements, he only talks about theory.

His voice was low and hoarse, like sandpaper rubbing against the nerves.

His explanation was chilling:

"Target Priority Determination":

How to quickly identify and rank threat levels in a crowd—commanders, communications soldiers, heavy gunners, snipers…

"Environmental Utilization and the Philosophy of Concealment":

"Shadows are not about hiding, but about merging. Temperature, light, sound, smell... even the rhythm of breathing must become part of the environment."

Human Anatomy and High-Efficiency Lethality:

Which point on the spine, if damaged, can cause instant paralysis?

At what angle should the blade be inserted to maximize bleeding while ensuring the patient cannot scream?

How can you cause the most damage using the simplest tools (pencil, newspaper, rope)?

"Fundamentals of Psychological Manipulation and Interrogation":

How to break down someone's psychological defenses by exploiting fear, greed, and vanity? Micro-expression recognition and lie detection.

These cold facts, presented in a silent and monotone tone, accompanied by occasional real-life case photos or simple sketches (extremely realistic and bloody), cause the classroom temperature to plummet.

Iron Pile's face turned pale, and Little Sparrow stayed close to Zero.

Only Zero and Cold Thorn listened with utmost concentration.

Zero's eyes flickered, as if he were verifying the theory with his past survival experience, frantically absorbing the essence.

Cold Thorn, like a sponge, silently memorized every detail of the killings.

The silence will suddenly ask a question:

"Zero, the target is wearing Level III body armor, carrying an AK-74U, and is located 15 meters behind a concrete bunker at your 1 o'clock position. You only have a USP pistol and a flashbang. What should you do?"

Zero barely thought:

"Use flashbangs to create confusion and noise, move to the side at high speed to avoid the firing angle from the front of the cover, and shoot at the exposed unprotected areas of the wrist or lower leg. After getting close, use the cover as a fulcrum to strangle or shoot the armpit soft ribs."

He remained silent for a moment, then nodded slightly.

Then I wrote something down in my notebook.

Act Three: Xue Yan's Introductory Lesson - The Chemical Equations of Life and Death.

Xue Yan's lessons were terrifying and bizarre.

The laboratory was filled with the pungent smell of formaldehyde and chemical reagents.

His first lesson was deeper and more powerful than the previous ones.

First, learn about the "materials." There are many herbs and plants in the wild and in the primeval forest. How do you use these to prepare poisons and life-saving medicines?

"This is belladonna, a beautiful berry. The atropine extracted from it can increase heart rate and dilate pupils. In the hands of a skilled doctor, it's a life-saving drug; in your hands..."

He paused, then gave a sinister smile. "It's a catalyst that causes the target to die from exhaustion in a state of extreme excitement and hallucinations."

"These are castor seeds, aren't they cute? But they can be used to extract ricin, and even a milligram of it can cause organ failure in a strong man, with no antidote. It's an ultimate assassination drug."

"This is a pufferfish. Its liver and ovaries contain the highly toxic tetrodotoxin, which can precisely block nerve signals, causing the victim to experience complete paralysis until suffocation while fully conscious. The exquisite art of death."

He not only talked about toxicity, but also about extraction and purification methods, how to make poison powder and liquid with rudimentary equipment, and even how to apply toxins to weapons or everyday items.

Then, the conversation shifted to discussing poisons and first aid.

"Only by understanding it can we fight it. Atropine poisoning can be treated with pilocarpine... Of course, dosage is key; too little will be ineffective, and too much will kill you."

"Wound treatment. Cleaning, suturing, and stopping the bleeding. In the wild, the needle and thread might be fish bones or hair."

He would often suddenly grab the child, create small wounds on their arm, and then order the child to clean, suture, and bandage them themselves.

Zero was the one who studied the most diligently.

He has an innate understanding of this knowledge that can control life and death.

He quickly became proficient in preparing several simple neurotoxins and potent hemostatic powders, and his suturing skills improved rapidly, with stitches so fine that Xue Yan would occasionally raise an eyebrow.

Xue Yan's notebook was filled with more and more records about Zero:

"...extraordinary sensitivity and understanding of alkaloids and toxins..."

"...able to instinctively grasp the critical dosage point..."

"...the emergency procedures were performed calmly and precisely, without being swayed by emotions..."

"...He's a natural-born pharmacist and battlefield surgeon..."

A brief respite and a period of regrouping.

The intense study schedule is overwhelming the children.

At the end of each day, they were all exhausted and collapsed in the cold corner.

But strangely enough, this shared experience of suffering brought them even closer together.

Zero would share the little bit of clean water he had secretly kept with others.

The little sparrow tells jokes in a foreign language, Iron Block squeezes into the wind to block the wind, and Cold Thorn silently gives bread to its companion.

In the dark, they tested each other on vocabulary, discussed tactical points, and simulated first aid procedures.

Zero acts as a little teacher, explaining complex concepts in a straightforward way.

Baroque watched all this with a gleam in his eyes.

Xue Yan's record: Knowledge sharing and mutual assistance appeared in the experimental group, with Zero being the core.

A silent shadow flashed by.
