"Once inside, cooperate a little, and remember you're still my boyfriend..." Lucy reminded Li Fu.

"Okay, boss," Li Fu said gentlemanly, extending his arm for Lucy to link arms with him.

A male servant in a black suit bowed slightly and opened the door for the two. They walked through a marble-tiled doorway and into a huge living room.

The living room ceiling was very high, with a huge crystal chandelier hanging from it, casting countless tiny spots of light on the mirror-like floor.

A grand piano stood against the wall, its keys gleaming with an ivory-white luster under the light.

On the other side is a floor-to-ceiling window, outside which is a terrace, and beyond that is a well-manicured garden with a huge swimming pool in the center.

There were already more than a dozen people in the living room, scattered in twos and threes.

The men wore well-tailored suits or casual shirts, while the women wore all kinds of skirts, from floor-length gowns to mini skirts.

The air was filled with the scents of perfume and champagne, and the background music was a deep, rhythmic electronic tune.

As soon as Lucy entered, several people surrounded her.

The red-haired girl I'd seen at the nightclub that night linked arms with her, excitedly talking about something related to the pool party.

Another girl wearing large earrings handed her a glass of champagne.

Lucy took the cup, took a sip, and wore a perfectly timed smile.

Li Fu stood half a step behind her, his gaze sweeping across the entire living room.

This is probably an occupational hazard of the original owner; whenever he arrives in a new environment, he first looks for an exit, and then looks for potential sources of danger.

The living room has three exits: the main entrance, a glass door leading to the terrace, and a small door at the end of the corridor. There were no security guards on site; as far as he knew, security for such places was usually located on the perimeter.

"Don't be so reserved, relax a little," Lucy leaned closer and whispered.

"I'm working," Li Fu replied in a low voice.

"Your job isn't bodyguard, it's my boyfriend," Lucy rolled her eyes at Li Fu, telling him not to stand so straight, and handed him a drink.

The man with the slicked-back hair that night, Chad Winthrop, walked out of the crowd.

He was wearing a light blue shirt today, with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, revealing a section of his tanned forearm.

His hair was still slicked back, but it was no longer so meticulous; it had become more casual.

Winslop walked over, bent down slightly, and gently kissed the back of Lucy's hand. Strictly speaking, it wasn't a kiss, but rather a polite touch in Western social situations.

"You look beautiful today," he complimented sincerely, seemingly more proactive in his own home than in a nightclub.

Or rather, more "aggressive".

"Thank you, you're cool too," Lucy replied with a smile that looked like it had been copied from an etiquette textbook.

Winslop's gaze shifted to Li Fu, lingering on him for a moment before maintaining an understanding restraint. "Mr. Li, welcome to tonight's party."

"I am deeply honored," Li Fuxue said, learning Western etiquette from movies and TV shows.

Winthrop turned to Lucy. "You guys are the last to arrive. Emily and the others arrived half an hour ago and are by the pool in the backyard."

"There's a school event today that'll take a little longer," Lucy said, maintaining the demeanor of a Western aristocrat.

"That's perfect, come relax after the event." Chad turned to the side and gestured an invitation.

He led Lucy and Li Fu through the living room and toward the glass doors leading to the terrace.

The terrace is large, with teak flooring and several sets of outdoor sofas and coffee tables. Outside the terrace is a rectangular swimming pool, the water shimmering with blue light under the illumination of the lights.

A dozen or so people were standing or sitting around the pool, each holding a wine glass. Laughter and conversation mingled together, making it much livelier than the living room, and they were all young people.

Li Fu didn't know if the men were handsome or not, but the young girls were all youthful and beautiful, including many with blonde hair and long, wavy hair.

Those who are not outstanding in appearance and figure probably won't get in.

Li Fu was not surprised at all by this scene; a party held in a mountain villa was bound to be a pool party.

Of course, he didn't care what kind of party it was; he had already had a feast for the eyes.

Just then, the red-haired girl ran out from the crowd and grabbed Lucy's hand. "Little Cake, come over here, we've all been waiting for you."

Lucy was pulled into the crowd and was quickly surrounded by several girls.

Most of them were dressed quite lightly, some in short skirts and some in swimsuits.

Although Los Angeles doesn't have a winter, the temperature rarely exceeds 20 degrees Celsius during this season.

It seems foreign women are more resistant to the cold!

The girls were talking about something, and their laughter came in bursts.

Li Fu stood by the pool, about three or four meters away from Lucy, leaning against the railing and facing the crowd. He seemed casual, but he was actually observing his surroundings.

The first half of the party was relatively normal.

At least by his standards... it's quite normal.

Most people were drinking, chatting, or taking photos. Occasionally, someone would jump into the pool and splash around, eliciting cheers and laughter.

The music changed from electronic music to hip-hop, and then from hip-hop to some kind of pop song that Li Fu couldn't name.

Winslop moved among the crowd, clinking glasses or exchanging pleasantries with almost every guest, making him a fairly competent party host.

Around midnight, things started to get even more exciting.

Li Fu smelled a sweet, cloying scent in the air that was different from ordinary tobacco.

"Marijuana?" He immediately frowned slightly.

He had seen this thing often in American TV shows and news in his previous life. Later, most states in the United States relaxed their regulations on it and regarded it as a legal existence.

Some young men and women became dissolute in this atmosphere.

Some danced to the rhythm of the music, making happy shouts, while others sat by the pool or leaned against the railing, kissing.

The atmosphere has a significant impact on people, especially when under the influence of alcohol or even marijuana.

Even a respectable person like Li Fu couldn't help but feel his heart race when he saw those long legs coming and going.

"Are you Little Cake's boyfriend?" At this moment, a blonde girl appeared next to Li Fu, tilting her head to look at him, her eyes filled with a hint of drunkenness and curiosity.

"Yes," Li Fu nodded.

This girl is a typical Latina beauty, wearing a swimsuit, and has a very impressive figure.

"She's never brought a male friend before, you're the first," she said, looking at Li Fu with a scrutinizing gaze, as if assessing his suitability.

Perhaps in their eyes, Lucy is outstanding, or comes from a good family.

"Is that so? Then I am honored," Li Fu said with a smile, but his demeanor and tone were rather cold.

The blonde girl tactfully walked away.

In the latter half of the night, the party became increasingly outrageous.

A man wearing a white linen shirt stood up, took off his shirt, and jumped into the pool. Water splashed onto several people nearby, both men and women, but they were not angry. Instead, they jumped in after him.

Soon, five or six people were in the pool, splashing, playing, and screaming in the water.

Then some people started taking off their clothes, not in a "I need to change into my swimsuit" way, but in a "I don't care anymore" way.

A girl climbed out of the pool, her soaking wet dress clinging to her body. She looked down at herself, then shrugged and simply pulled the dress strap off her shoulder.

Her skirt slipped down to her waist, revealing her underwear, and she sat half-naked by the pool.

The onlookers started making a fuss, and some even took out their phones to take pictures of the pool.

At the other end of the pool, a man and a woman were embracing each other. The woman was passionately holding him, making clear and undisguised sounds.

The people around ignored it, and one even whistled.

Li Fu was amazed and felt that the American TV series he had watched in his previous life were too conservative in terms of realism.

Now imagine what a so-called bachelor/bachelorette party is like in the West...

You really don't need to think to know what it does.

He turned his head and glanced at Lucy, the girl from a conservative family in the Southern Red State, whose expression was somewhat subtle at that moment.

Her face had a slightly flushed look, probably from the alcohol. If she inadvertently saw a scene that could be described as "intense," she would quickly look away and pretend to be looking at the stars in the sky.

Winslop walked out of the crowd, a glass of whiskey in his hand, his steps steady, a calm smile on his face.

His shirt was still neatly arranged, with the collar still up and the cuffs not rolled up.

While everyone else was in chaos, he appeared even more clear-headed and restrained.

"Lucy," he said, sitting down next to her, keeping a distance of about twenty or thirty centimeters, "having fun?"

"It's alright," Lucy's voice was a little louder than usual. "It's quite lively here..."

Winslop smiled, his smile as composed as ever.

"Actually, we're not usually like this," he said, taking a sip of his drink as casually as if he were talking about the weather. "Everyone wants to relax a bit before finals, you know, the academic pressure at our school is really high..."

Seeing his composure, Li Fu knew that his claim that he wasn't usually like this was all nonsense.

A boy wearing only his underwear ran past them from a short distance away, followed by a girl wearing a soaking wet T-shirt.

The two laughed and rushed towards the pool, jumping in with a "plop," splashing water onto Winslop's trouser legs.

The two were already embracing and playing in the pool.

Winslop glanced down at the water stains on his trousers, seemingly unconcerned. "Really, I'm usually very restrained."

Li Fu stood three meters away, looking at Winslop's profile. The man's expression was calm, even carrying a hint of helplessness, as if to say, "I also think they've gone a bit too far."

"Damn, what a show-off," he thought to himself.

This wealthy young man is the host of the party, and everything tonight is probably an atmosphere he wants to create, making everyone feel that "everyone does it this way" and "you should try it too."

Some people smoke marijuana, and the host doesn't care because it only makes the scene more unrestrained and everyone more high.

Li Fu asked himself if someone with an iron will, or at least the original owner of this body, could be moved by this scene, let alone others.

The reason for doing this is simply to achieve some kind of goal!

Self-discipline is extremely difficult, while indulgence is very easy.

He suddenly realized that this was one of the reasons why Lucy asked him to pretend to be her boyfriend.
